Experience: Drive thru, can hear the worker clearly and very nice. Dang, prices has gone up, probably cause of inflation or something. Just get a Caniac Combo, the most likely pick for anyone. Also, it was just me in the drive thru, so we just went through fast. Some nice plants, nice logo on the wall. Got my food and didn't get conned out of money. Got home, eat food, very great, 5 stars. The service was good but just like all the other restaurants, the prices have double & the chicken strips are 1/2 the size. I wish I would have taken a picture. I bought 50 strip family meal plus small pan of fries & 4 breads & it was $100. Never again. I give it 2 stars due to over priced under sized chicken strips which is the only thing they sale. This is the newest edition of the famous chickety chicken from Louisiana that has entered the hearts and appetites of the Port Arthur/Nederland residents. The other nearest one you will find is about 25 minutes away in Beaumont tucked down Dowlan Road across from the Walmart. After eating here a few times I can report to you that the mad crowd has died down meaning you do not have to wait for a parking place for an eternal time now. Peak meal times will deem these words of you begging to differ but it only gets better after time. If you have never eaten at any one of the numerous Raising Cane's restaurants you must heed that they only sell chicken strips in the form of your regular finger food or as a sandwich, nothing more, nothing less. Each order is accompanied with cole slaw (which I always find it a little dry but too crunchy to my taste), fresh crinkled french fries, garlic toast Texas style and their secret sauce that enhances your flavor bud experience. The interior is filled with pictures and articles of what history of the restaurant along with some different array of other eye wonders like a disco ball, pictures of nostalgic personalities and such. You can also find Raising Canes in other states like South Carolina, Louisiana (where it originated) and Virginia. Raising Cane's is a carrier of fountain drinks for your drinking disposal but for an extra .60 you can have your cup filled with fresh lemonade that is located behind the cashiers. read more

This specific canes location is DIRTY ALL THE TIME. Every. single. Time. I've been there 3 times and I walk inside with the Intention of being able to actually eat my food there . The first time I went through the drive thru and not only was the girl on the speaker RUDE. but I then had to use the restroom and they were no where up to health and safety code like it was so bad in the women's restroom. Used feminine product on the floor . Tissue and paper towels on the floor and one stall literally had blood on the toilet . The second time I came inside to order it was so dirty no table was clean and it looked like it had not been swept . There was only 2 people in front of me and it wasn't during a lunch or dinner rush so I'm not understanding the issue of cleanliness . I just ended up leaving because if it's dirty in front of store it's probably dirty in the back where my food is being prepared . The 3rd time I really had a craving from canes and I took 2 steps in the door just to see the same issue and immediately left. No food is worth having to eat in a health hazard . I can't possibly say enough good things about Raising Cane's. It's possible they're like crack. I've heard it said that amazing things are like crack but having no experience to base that off of, I'll just say their chicken fingers are crazy addictive and I may have to find a 12 step program for them. I was THRILLED when they tore down the old KFC on Dowlen to make room for my latest diet breaker. So was my personal trainer, who gets paid by the number of sessions I have to do in order to work off the bliss that is Cane's sauce. And they have a drive thru, so I no longer have to use my muscles to walk into Parkdale mall just to get my fix! Raising Cane's offers chicken strips, fries, coleslaw and garlic Texas toast. That's it. Those are your only options, people, don't come here expecting anything else. BECAUSE they only offer these items, they have perfected them beyond perfect. They have late night drive thru hours for your post imbibing pleasure. Go. Go now, and take a picture of yourself. You'll want to remember what your life was like, pre-Raising Cane's, because you'll look back on it and ask yourself how you thought life was worth living before that first taste of crispy chicken fingers dipped in Cane's sauce. I LOVED this canes. I literally have to say that every Canes employee I have ever met seem to be the happiest people on the face of the earth. I don't know who helped us but after a long car drive, she was a breath of fresh air and just talking to all the customers as the left and even came over to ask how our chicken strips were! Simply amazing! I must also say that I have never been disappointed with a canes and have had it in TX, LA, VA and in SC. We stopped by after some grocery shopping for a quick dinner. There was an issue with their ticket printer and our order got lost. We waited about 25 minutes thinking maybe they were just in the midst of a rush. After asking about the status of our meal, the manager jumped into action. Not only did he get our meal out within minutes, he gave us a voucher for a free meal and 2 free lemonades for our next visit. He went above and beyond to make up for the time delay! Very Slow service. No greeting by employee. There was a long pause before he even asked us what we wanted to order. He looked at us as if we were inconveniencing him by visiting the establishment. According to the ticket, his name is Darrius. I travel a lot and this is the worst experience I've ever had at a Cane's restaurant with service. We waited 22 minutes for 2 three strip combos. This is my favorite place to eat chicken strips. I probably eat once every week on average at the Beaumont location on Dowlen Rd. So i order the box dinner tonight and first they forget my coleslaw and i go back up and ask for it and they were rude and the person in the back makes a comment. Well i wanted it because i like it and i paid for it. Then i realize my french fries were tough and not hot. I am not sure how french fries get tough. The strips were ok but while there is always a difference in size they were all on the small side tonight. Overall i would normally give this location an 8 to 9 but tonight i give them a 1. Very unhappy with the service the way i was made to feel and the poor quality of the food. read more

The food here was excellent as it usually is when I go. However, this time we decided to eat inside. It was very hot inside and every table was full of chicken crumbs and grease. We went to get some napkins but they were completely out. We asked for some napkins and were only able to get two. I enjoy eating canes inside at other locations, so its not really what I expected. read more

This is my first time to try this place. My daughter begged me to try this place. I would have to say I only give them 4 stars because they don't have a bigger menu. Just chicken fingers. I will say my cashier was very polite and the restaurant was very clean. The tenders are very juicy, the batter is not to thick. The fries are just plain but the oh sooo soft toast more than made up for that. Coleslaw is good but let me tell you the best part... SWEET TEA! And when I say sweet tea, it is DAMN GOOD STUFF! I went here about two weeks ago and enjoyed my lunch. While here my son and I played the instant winner game that was on the side of our cup. We won a chicken finger as an "instant winner" so we went to the counter to collect it. We were told by the person taking orders that we could not get the "instant win" until our next visit. While here I checked in Yelp and left a question asking why the game was called "instant winner" if you had to wait to get the prize. Tonight, instead of getting an answer from Caine's, I got an email stating that my question had been removed due to "concerns about its tone". Yelp also recommended that I not ask questions that are "inflammatory". I have hundreds of reviews from 3 countries and have never been anything but factual. If the Raising Caine's page supervisor feels that this question is inflammatory and is concerned about the tone, then I suggest they rename their "instant winner" game to "Can't get your prize until tomorrow" game. read more
