I thought the food was very authentic, the ambience quite nice (despite the telly with bollywood dance and music on it) and food was not too "red chilly-spicey" like some curry places feel obliged to make the food. The food did remind me of my university days in Rajasthan (place in India where you do get Jaipur food) and my wife was very happy too - shes a Yorkshire lass not Indian. The naan breads and the parathas were as good as any I have had in any Indian restaurant in UK. I was a bit disappointed they did not have many Indian desserts, just different ice-cream based English desserts but the liquer coffees were fantastic. Another good thing about this restaurant is it was a bit outside of York so it was convenient to park right outside instead of in a paid parking lot in town.

They're great with the kids, attentive and understanding to a 3 year olds mess even in such lovely surrounding.
