    Pizza dog!

RAK is an incredible space, but there's some things you should know in advance. If you come here on a rainy weekend, you can expect a crowd, including children. They have two large spaces that are connected by a small hallway/ bathrooms. The lounge area is laid-back and adult-friendly. In contrast, the other space is essentially a sports bar + game room meets Chuck E. Cheese? Or maybe that was just the rainy Sunday afternoon that I visited. The offer bar games, including three dart lanes. There's a waiver to sign, and you can do it online, though I'll mention that no one asked for confirmation that we completed the waiver. Beer selection is good and the bartenders were helpful, if not a little overwhelmed. However, the lounge was basically empty, which was awesome for two kid-less adults looking for some beer and food. Speaking of food: Pizza Hotdog. Can you dig it? Very interesting concept, obviously a huge hit for the locals. I understand the lounge is not always open, so I might be hesitant to sit in the other loud/ crowded space during peak times. It's a really nice space for a private event. Beers are good. Family friendly. It's not everyone's cup of tea (or pint of beer?), but I like what they're doing.

2025 Raktoberfest. We stopped by for some shareables and a few beverages. Great atmosphere. There are 2 sides to the place. We wandered back and forth. They also have the Rak Yard that is turfed for games, Cornhole, connect 4, shuffleboard and more. Lots of staff. You can order off QR or in person. We had a couple of shareables, the mozzarella sticks which were fantastic and the mushroom arancini. Not super hungry but the pizzas look amazing.

I'd read up on RAK because it was dog friendly and had a good looking menu, so we came here with 2 dogs and had a lovely time outside! The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The beer list had some good options but the pizza from dop was the winner. You have to try the pickle pizza - it was delicious!! Pepperoni was traditional but still tasty. I did like the wings but personal preference I would get a side of ranch instead of honey mustard to go with the old bay. I will definitely be back! Also plenty of parking and in walking distance to the Creek.

4.5 stars Excellent beer. If you like a good mix of styles come here. Pro tip: get a flight and if something's too sweet, don't get it again. Great, cozy vibes and very friendly staff. We were up in frederick for my birthday weekend and came by here before dinner on a Saturday and had a great time. The vibe is classy and modern and simultaneously cozy. We'll be back

Im always looking for different breweries to try in Frederick. Last time we came out there RAK was having a private event, so we decided to come check it out on a Saturday afternoon. They had just recently opened their extension, but we didn't notice until after we sat and ordered food. Ill definitely go back to check the other side out. I tried a few beers and the seltzer and just was not a fan. The pizza we ordered included ham, jalapeños and drizzled honey. It wasn't what I expected, but we ate it. There were a lot of kids present that day, which made it pretty loud and chaotic in three lounge area. But I can see how this is a good option for families and parents with young kids. Overall, the service was good, they had lots of beer options, but I just couldn't find one that I liked. I definitely plan to return and check out the yard side. It looks pretty cool and would be great to check out with friends.

One of the newer breweries in Frederick but their beer game is absolutely on point. Each time I go there I get to try something different they have a large selection of great IPAs and fantastic sours (I'm really picky about my sours). The service is always great form their staff and always friendly. The inside is a bit different and kind of reminds me of a 70s lounge in a hotel lobby. They have recently added a huge area that they've been working on for a while as well as adding the pizza on the inside (which is also very good). The photography done by the owner features Frederick landmarks and skies.

This first thing you notice about this place is the clean decor. At first I thought I entered a hotel lobby. But the lighting, ambiance, clean lines really lends to a trendy and relaxed atmosphere. The beer is a hit or miss though. Some were overly sweet and some were really good. I recommend getting a flight first to test it out. If no one told me the name of the place I would assume it was a wine and cocktail type of place rather than a brewery. The outside isn't much and the vicinity isn't safe looking, but the inside shines. It's more of a place to take someone on a date and have a nice chat over some beer. The seating is spaced out and you can have a great chat with someone without being interrupted by people around you. I can see myself coming back for the atmosphere.

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. Tell 'em Randy sent ya...

Wanted a flight but the beers I wanted for the flight were from cans so could not be included, opted for the Pilsner, it was ok. The inside was very messy, the board games all messy and the merch rack needed some attention. The indoor seated room smells musky and the setas were all messy even though no one was in there because we were all at the patio. The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. Eventually she got a can opener and I was able to try the kolsch that turned out to be better than the Pilsner as I expected. Overall it was an ok experience at this place.
