    Cheers!!

Steinhardt is a lovely brewery was a huge space in a historic building ! Really love how they have set up this space. Lots of breathing room and they allow canine friends on leash. The beers are tasty and served super cold! I was surprised how quickly and easily we were able to get beers from the bar, no more than a five minute wait and this place was packed!! Highly recommend for large groups as there is plenty of space to stretch out!

Great beers here. Enjoyed the coconut stout, it is indeed very coconutty. Also enjoyed the dry Irish stout. We came on a trivia Saturday so it was rather loud and pretty packed but there are two bars and it's a large space so we had the option to spread out.

Steinhardt is in our list of top breweries in Frederick, the main reason being location, space, and vibe. There are so many seating options available, which is awesome. You can come by yourself or with a big group, and still be able to find seating. They have 3 outdoor areas and 2 big spaces inside. There are also 2 bars to order from. I really like that they have tons of games available. It's a great way to engage with whoever you come with, IMO. If you have kids, like we do, we will play some games together if we decide to bring them with us. They have a decent beer selection which offers a little something for every taste. However, I wish they had a LITTLE more, but overall good choices. Bartenders here are always friendly and have great recommendations.

A-OK brewery. Conveniently located along the Creek and walking distance to other nearby breweries. The entrance is along the side of the building. + food truck + 3 oz. Pours + orange haze IPA + ambiance +/- service was hit or miss +/- interesting seating layout. Lots of long tables, not as many 2 seaters or bar seating - okay I admit it. I like hipster beer like sours and IPAs. The European beers were cool, but not my thing. - champagne du Frederick was one of the weirdest beers I've had in awhile. Not sure if it was meant to be like that or if I had a bad batch. Not drinkable.

TLDR: Impressive Belgian beer offerings with a laid back atmosphere in downtown Frederick. Vibe: 4/5. Newer taproom with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Two dartboards are located in the back of the taproom as well as two large LED tvs making it a great place to hang out with a group of friends. Both 4 top and 6 top tables make up the bulk of the seating. Service: 4/5. Counter service only. Simply walk up to one of the many bartenders and order your beer. The day we went they had 3 people manning the taps so we never had to wait. Staff was friendly, quick and knowledgeable. Beer: 5/5. One of the larger in house brewed beer selections in Frederick. Heavy emphasis on Belgian beer, so I was able to order more unique craft beers such as tripels and quadruples. All were tasty and well brewed.

    Perfect shot.

We went to Steinhardt brewing on a Saturday to listen to a fantastic 80s band--Audio Fuel--and drink great beer. People were watching the Preakness, playing a giant game of Jenga, throwing darts, dancing, and just enjoying themselves. We sat and listened to the band and had a couple of IPAs. They have beer for every taste. We threw darts and danced. People were friendly. The prices were reasonable. It was just plain fun. It just might become a regular hang out for us.

This place had it all for everything I look for in a brewery. Cool venue, good beers, and excellent customer service. I was particularly happy with the flights, which come in groups of 5. I liked their physical beer list, which was basically a piece of 8x11.5 paper in a plastic sleeve hooked to a line with wooden clips. Pretty ingenious and easy to update. I didn't walk over to order and an item on an elaborate board was unavailable. It was an easy and pleasing experience that I would recommend and repeat next time I'm in Frederick.

    Peach sour (peche) and R'aison

I really wanted to like this place. It has always seemed to be a popular place, customers have raves about the place. Even my wife wanted to go here as she heard good things about the sours. However the sours taste all the same. The peach and blackberry sours that the wife tried tasted identical to each other. But neither tasted of peach or blackberry. Just a mildly sour beer. They have syrups behind the bar to add flavors to beers. Now I've traveled the world and I've tasted hundreds upon hundreds of beers. Nowhere gave the asked if I wanted a flavored syrup in my beer. I can see why they do so here, the beers are devoid of any real flavor. They all taste the same. They could be brewing the Frederick versions of Coors Light for all the flavour they offer. Maybe I'm too much of a Midnight Run fanboy to get this place. I'm sure the atmosphere might be good for a night out etc.. but if the beer is not good, then I don't see a reason to go a brewery.

    Steinhardt Vienna lager.

This is an awesome place to grab a drink. Sits on the canal. Great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. I ordered the Vienna lager. It was so smacking good! Highly recommend it if you stop in. They had a food truck outside and were setting up for live music. If I were local I would be here all the time.

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. Eventually she got a can opener and I was able to try the kolsch that turned out to be better than the Pilsner as I expected. Overall it was an ok experience at this place.
