I had MOHs surgery on my face right before thanksgiving and Dr. Adam and his staff were able to get me seen the same day and I left his office without two holes in my face. Approximately one year ago I had the My Ellevate procedure done by Dr. Lyle to eliminate the need for botox on the neck bands. I would not recommend this procedure to anyone. He states the procedure is not appropriate if you have excessive skin; but he will do the procedure anyway and take your $5000. I had excessive pain and still have some residual pain in the right ear. For months after the surgery, I felt like I had an ear infection with the feeling of fluid behind the ear drum. I went to my ENT for an exam and was told I did not have an infection. I also experienced vertigo. My ENT scheduled an MRI. The MRI was negative. I also had a neurological work up that proved negative. Additionally, my ear had dropped significantly that I no longer will wear drop earrings as it's so very obvious. Dr Lyle said that couldn't happen, yet research indicates it can happen with this type of procedure. The procedure was botched. The left ear was sewn into a pixie ear and the right ear was a mess. It took him two additional tries to fix the ear lobe. It was a flapper. He made the attempt to cut the neck bands in a separate procedure by cutting them with surgical string. This did nothing! Of course, the need for botox has now doubled for the bands. My neck looks worse than prior to the procedure. So, ladies think twice!!! read more

I visited Dr. Rhett High at Raleigh Plastic Surgery Center because after 150 pound weight loss from dieting & working out, the skin remained, nearly twenty pounds worth of it. This is going to sound so cliche but Dr. High literally changed my life. I was about to turn 50 (I don't look my age) and my dream was to celebrate my 50th in Aruba and be able to wear a bikini again. Pregnancies had left me with excessive skin so I wanted a tummy tuck. In August of 2022 I had my procedure. I contemplated going to Miami but in the end I chose to stay locally. I'm so glad I did because the aftercare I received and scheduled check-ups were greatly appreciated. Dr. High, the anesthesiologist, and nursing staff were great. Dr. High was very honest about the results I could expect. I had stretch marks over my entire midsection and now its just a few around my new navel. My incision scar scared me at first but I was trusting the process. It healed nicely into a perfectly shaped bikini line scar. I do plan on covering it with a tattoo later on down the road but my bikini bottoms hide it just fine. My stomach is flat and smooth. No more fupa. I told my fiance I had to have one 'hot girl summer" to wear all the form fitting clothes I didn't feel comfortable in before. The way clothes fit me now, its like I'm a new person. I love my results. I literally cried the day I tried on one of the bikini's I purchased for my trip. It really is life changing. Fantastic place. Love Dr. P. He did a wonderful job on my wife's breast reconstruction surgery. This office will miss him dearly. However what prompted this review was our dealings with the front office staff. They just aren't all that friendly in general but our last visit the young lady that checked us in was snotty and she had some "roll of her eyes" type answers and looks. The office was behind this day with for the most part was not the norm. Dr. P was always pretty close on schedule for almost all of our visits. Sometimes even early but never more than 10 minutes after appt. Friday was an exception and they were running behind. About 40 minutes behind. No worries it happens. My wife went back up there to double check that we were correct on the appt time only because we were seeing folks come in behind us getting called back before us. I'd say at least 4 folks. One even left before we got called back. When she asked to lady at the check in desk she did the "roll the eyes thing" and pointed at the stack of files and said "uh, as you can see we're running behind". And that was it. Unfortunate she didn't have a name tag on but she was a bit short and sandy blond hair. I can understand being frustrated that the office is behind but don't take it out on the patient. read more

The staff need DIVERSITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING! The receptionist "Kayley" was unprofessional. When I walked in, she asked me through closed glass "Who are you here to see?" That's not how I am greeted when I enter a Doctor's office. She acted like she never saw a black woman before. I said "I don't know his name." She said "Well, what's your name?" I told her. By this time, she knew I was not happy with her response. She proceeded to walk me down a hall where I was asked to complete some paperwork. Then she comes back, with an assistant to ask me for payment. Why did she have someone accompany her to ask for payment? Was she scared to ask me by herself? She was extremely quiet while she took the payment. Then I go into the operating room, and the Doctor's assistant had no bedside manner. She didn't hold my hand nor ask me if I was ok. She didn't give me anything to hold on to while I was in pain. When I walked into the office, all the staff were talking and laughing, quite loud for a doctors office. By the time my procedure was complete, all the staff were quiet and looked at me as I walked out. I know the receptionist said something about me. The Doctor was ok, but his staff need training. read more

After going to one of Raleigh Plastic Surgery's seminars and hearing DR. Lyle praise the effectiveness of the Thermi Smooth technique's ability to take the puffiness from under my eyes, I spent $1500 for 6 treatments. This Thermi Smooth was a complete waste of my time and money as it did nothing to reduce the puffiness or the wrinkles under my eyes. When I asked for a partial credit toward surgery to reduce the puffiness, I was told they would give me no credit. I would recommend anyone looking for cosmetic treatments look else where. read more

Wow..what happened? I went to this office where I've been many times for botox and Dr. High was great! No hard sells and the results were always subtle but effective. They now have a nurse who studied this area of aesthetics. I was hesitant but went anyway as I was in great need. What I got was a hard sell and I am apparently the most gullible person ever. I paid thousands for some poorly placed filler and extremely heavy botox. I had to go back and get the filler "killer" that is injected to undo a filler that went wrong. I still have bumpy areas around my chin and eyes and the filler in my cheeks somehow made my undereye circles much darker. Again, not my first time getting either botox or filler and i've never had such poor results for such a high price. I went back two weeks later and all she did was inject the areas that were still really lumpy...and are still are lumpy. She put in more botox for an effect she tried to get before in one area. She said to give it a little more time to look right...ok it's weeks later and still my face is a mess. I'm so disappointed that this practice allows this kind of work to be done at any price. My mother went to this practice and we always trusted them. I am shocked that anyone can see what they did and be ok with charging an exorbitant price for it. I'm too upset to approach the nurse again, but will definitely approach the Dr. if for no other reason than to let them see my results. read more

I went to Dr. High 5 weeks ago for a breast augmentation revision. A year ago, I had my initial breast aug with another doctor and was not happy. I am 5'1'' 100lbs and walked out with triple D breasts. My loved ones barely recognized me. 3 years ago, my mom had a breast reduction and lift done by Dr. High. and has been ecstatic with her results. She encouraged me to see him. During the consultation, Dr High and his wonderful nurse Michelle spent over an hour with me. Dr High did not try to sell me at any point and in fact laid out the realistic expectations (unlike my first doctor). I decided that given the result I wanted, I would go with a downsized implant as well as a lift. I was so ready and confident in my decision after that consult that I was able to get in for surgery less than a week later due to a cancellation. While scheduling, Dr. High came in, sat down with my mom and I, and asked if I had enough time to really think about my decision. He did not care about getting me (or my money) on the books right away. Instead, he was more concerned about me and my level of comfort. The surgery itself went well and I am thrilled with my results. I was originally 415cc and now I have 310cc high profile. I am now a full C/small D and it looks amazing. My incisions are healed and they even give you a credit for laser services in case you want them touched up. His nurse Michelle is also fantastic. I have sent her many emails (on weekends and nights) and always get a prompt answer. I have also called Dr High on weekends with questions during my recovery and he was always so kind and soft spoken (never annoyed). I highly recommend Dr High and his team. I could not be more happy so far with my experience with Raleigh Plastic Surgery. After a TERRIBLE experience at Wake Plastic Surgery in which I was constantly reassured that my insurance would NOT cover my reduction surgery, I was disheartened and apprehensive. One email to RPS gave me a little hope, as Dr Lyle seemed so nice and knowledgeable, even taking the time to personally reply to my email. At his suggestion I called his insurance coordinator, Adrianne, to discuss getting coverage, and she was so positive and encouraging about it that I made the decision to come in for a consultation, which they were able to get me in for less than a week later. The day of my consultation, I had all of my medical documentation faxed over for insurance. I was running15 minutes late, which was my own fault. The receptionist reassured me when I called to let her know that it was no problem at all. After arriving, I had my consultation with Dr. Lyle and his nurse, both of whom were friendly, professional and encouraging. Dr Lyle answered all of my questions and gave me as much information as possible about the possible outcomes of my procedure. Within 24 hours after seeing Dr. Lyle, my insurance had approved my surgery, the very thing I was told wouldn't happen by the prior practice. I am so incredibly excited to finally be approved for this life changing surgery and no longer be in pain. Adrianne and Dr. Lyle really advocate for their patients and go above and beyond making sure you feel taken care of! Wasn't pleased with the outcome of my surgery with Dr. High. After going back to get my stitches removed (which he more less ripped them out/it infuriates me now just to think how I was treated) I was told I could come back and have ANOTHER SURGERY to fix the problem they caused but I would rather just live with the outcome than go back to that place! I felt no compassion and their bedside manner was awful. I would not recommend Raleigh Plastic Surgery to anyone.
