I have been coming to this store for years. I noticed about a year ago, the employees seem to be unhappy and not as friendly. There is a Male who replenishes products in the produce department that is SO RUDE EVERY TIME! If you ask him a question, be prepared to be treated like you are a moron. RUDE! He really needs to be terminated. I spend at least $300.00 every time I come in and am rarely asked to be helped out anymore. The bakery personnel are always helpful. What is going on with your store? You charge HIGH prices and I feel the employees should be appreciative both with customers and having a job. read more

This is a very friendly and efficient store all together, however, this review is specifically for the bakery. Raley's bakery has come through for me many many times for custom cakes. I'm admittedly a chronic procrastinator. On top of that I work nights and I often get my days jumbled up. I don't know how many times I have realized I need a cake the next day, usually a Saturday, and who comes through for me every single time? RALEY'S BAKERY IN MANTECA!! And, not just any cake. Beautiful, fun, delicious cakes either designed by the bakery with my input or cakes from the catalog that use a template. Everyone raves about the cakes I bring and no one is the wiser that I got it on such short notice. All the bakery staff I have encountered are very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you, for being a lifesaver Raley's Bakery staff and bakers! My advice is to not waste your time with other grocery store bakeries who are rude, unaccommodating, and act lime you are bothering them. I.e. S***W*Y. read more

I'll start off with saying I love Raley's... I spend 300 a week there! I ordered a cake and two sandwich trays due at 10 am... I went in after 11. The cake was ready however they lost my sandwich order or didn't make it I'm not sure but they didn't have it ready. So they whipped it together really fast (about 15 min ) when I was on a very limited time frame squeezing in my daughters bday party in between basketball games for the boys. And then the girl came out and said oh you came early good thing I was working on these when no one was over there when I walked up and they could not find my order- don't make stuff up to me. Argh frustrating.... whatever I got over it and the cashier was super nice while I was paying... however my cake inside was wrong it was supposed to be marble but was white argh I give up today. I used to love going to my Raley's. We live a couple streets away. But about a year ago they started firing and relocating people and bringing on new people that in my opinion are extremely rude. I love going to this store because the people made it feel like a neighborhood store where everyone knows your name. And they were! But about a year ago like I said someone started relocating the employees to Stockton and other stores. A young man named Matthew was so sweet and amazing, worked in the deli, gone. Woman in the frozen meats section with glasses, gone. Now Debbie, gone. And in there place they are bringing in rude workers. One is a middle eastern man or maybe Indian I'm not too sure! He doesn't say a word to you, not a have a nice day, nothing. They have a new cashier, African American, I've been through this young man's checkout like 4 times and EVERY single time he has been telling some story to a bagger about how he would have some sort of attitude with someone. Also not friendly at all. And some white boy has been promoted to maybe a head cashier I dunno, he is extremely rude. My point is this store used to be nice to come to and I was willing to pay a bit more and now I'm thinking if we want crappy customer service might as well head over to a save mart where we will get at least cheaper prices while people are giving us crappy customer service! read more

Customer service is big for me and the employees are always professional and nice. The sandwiches are amazing and have a great selection of items you wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. Once I came and the power went out and the cash registers wouldn't start back up. I did wait about 30 mins but they gave everyone $10 off their purchase to compensate the lost time. The only thing I would have to say is that the prices are high for most of the items here. I don't feel like they deserve 4 stars for that but I do most of my other grocery shopping elsewhere for the essentials because it would be too expensive here. Since I live close it is easy to just come here for items that I might of forgotten and I always leave happy even is they are busy. read more

I used to love this store. I've been shopping here for over ten years. The staff was so friendly. Then they rearranged the store. I understand that it takes time to find things but it took way too long. The prices are going up and up and up!!! There are some new items but its not worth the extra cost. The old staff was friendly and the new younger staff is not friendly and they are unapproachable. They seem annoyed if I ask a question or forget where something is. LAST but not least! Self checkout is terrible. My message to Raleys is this, "Do you think I will pay for your overpriced food and bag my own items. I DON'T THINK SO!!! I refuse to shop in your store anymore. I will not check out and bag my own food. By the way, I miss your old staff and I don't like your new staff watching registers while people struggle to check out. Yes Raleys is clean. Yes Raleys staff are friendly. Yes the store is close to where I live. However since the remodel their prices have gone up!!! I've talked with several shoppers who used to do their weekly shopping at this store but now they just pop in to pick up a few items. I agree everything is more expensive, but Raleys for me is no longer my go to place for grocery shopping!! read more

Generally, this is a good store. It's pricy, but good. The major exception is in the deli rotisserie section. You would think that they would understand that their best customer for this service is a person on their way home from work. They have had a tritip available once in the last year between 5:30 and 6:00 in my experience. Chickens are often unavailable, too. When I asked when the next batches were coming out, they acted as though I was stupid not to know that the stop much earlier in the day. Clearly, they make no attempt to gauge demand. This is disappointing from a company that prides itself on customer service. Not so much. read more

I usually try to find a raleys when possible they always have fresh organic produce with lots of variety no doubt love that they have a small vegan section ( so awesome) the staff is always smiling ( love this) happy people make a great grocery store:) they carry so much variety in coffee creamers . We love this store. Prices are high but produce is fresh for the most part . Michael is really cool and always recognizes us when we're there and says hello. Things like that go a very long way. There is one lady that naturally gets in her own world organizing pastries and doesn't see that I'm at he Petes coffee counter on several occasions but ends up being really nice even though I'm boiling inside . While there's other stores I can go to this one is the closest and it does the job . read more

Shittiest service at the deli ever, slow slow slow. I come here because i like the food . One time i stood waiting for my sandwich and the woman forgot i was even there. Maybe all the workers just get high as f*** before they come to work, because they are slow. They arent even friendly, they act like assholes to customers because they hate their job. Like come on. This store has everything you need. It has a great meat and seafood dept. A terrific deli with wonderful salads. The store is always clean and smells good not musty like some stores. I love my nearby Raleys!!! read more

We live near this Raleys store in Manteca. We have always noted that Raleys prices were higher than most other stores.For this reason we have been driving into Tracy and shopping at Winco. Today we only need a few items so we went into this Raleys in Manteca. WHAT a sticker shock we got. Most items we use we at least double and even more than what we pay at Winco. One more thing, when I said this to the clerk he did not like that and was very rude to us. SO folks if you want to pay about half less on your grocery bill then go any where else and you will save and more curtsey as well. read more

Store looks nice from the outside. After a few visits you will find out how bad their customer service is and quality really is. If you ask for help they usually do nothing. Yesterday was my families last visit. (4/14/2014). Watched a fragile older lady ask for assistance and the guy just kept on stocking, maybe couldn't move his feet. Here are a couple of examples -I asked for some paper towels and the employee told me sorry can't help you. So I left on that visit. When back again with my daughter asked for assistance once again just got pointed to the other side of the store. Checked out their Fosters chicken they brag about, dates expired, smelly and leaky bags, some chicken refrozen.(freezer burn). This was the case with a lot of their meats. Check the dates on the bacon, meats, milk and dairy to name a few. Prices are way to high for no or little customer service and the poor quality of their top dollar items. If you don't get a item on a daily sale your paying top dollar for food that sits around for weeks. Organic produce is months old and they push the old in the back leaving the new in front. Suppose to be FIFO(first in first out). They do have a large parking lot..... In closing if you get food poisoning after eating their meats you will find out the hard way. You will lose a couple days of work costing you even more money. They don't make you feel comfortable when you need assistance (Hey Raley's it's called customer service). read more

The 1 star is for the seafood dept only: I've been shopping at Raleys for over 7 years. I bought there gulf shrimps from Texas and thought they tasted strange. I thought maybe it was just a bad batch and tried on another occassion same thing happened. Well, come to find out in 2016 there were 90,000 gallons of oil spilled into the gulf of Texas! Wow, really Raleys!! Shame on you! If you do not get new shrimp from clean waters, I will protest your store....Do the right thing! read more

I love Raley's, a bit more than others, but quality selection and service to boot, including their bakery. I stopped in Saturday night to pick up an Italian rum cake for my b day and the cute young blond working that night was so friendly and my nise loved her chocolate cake. The cake is so moist with rum whipped cream and slivered almonds; dlish. So, for excellent baked goods and groceries with friendly service in a clean atmosphere for a little more than at Safeway and others, Raley's cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.! read more

I love Raley's, they have lots of specialty items and the people that work there are super friendly. I love that they have a large section of organic, vegan, and gluten-free items. Some are priced a little higher than at discount stores but they food is always fresh and they have a lot of brands to choose from. They also have a section with bulk foods which is nice if you need only a small amount of something such as nuts or granola. They have an excellent bakery, fresh seafood, and a suishi place. I visit this supper market almost daily, Raley's has somewhat of a reputation of being pricey, which I don't argue but you pay for what you get. Very large variety of organic food, produce is always fresh and there are many items/products cheaper than other competitors here you just have to pay attention. I have been shopping at this grocery store for three years now and I have never had an issue. It's very clean and employees are great. read more
