He helped give me advice on clothing and even setup a code word for me to know the perfect moment to propose. She has lots of lovely and good quality props and knows well how to handle the infants. I am impressed by her collection of dresses, headbands, bows, baskets, hats and other props that she gets for the shoot. We had another photoshoot with her at 7-months and she again did her magic. She has immense patience and is in no rush to finish the photoshoot. She makes you feel so comfortable, is friendly and understands how to keeps the kids engaged. I have done it before with boudoir photographers, but didn't really like any of the resulting pictures because I probably am overly critical of myself, like a lot of women. I modelled when I was much younger, but only parade and never photographic work, except for catalogue, so AWKWARD is the only way I could describe my feelings leading up to the event. I am a bit shy and not a poser, so it wasn't natural for me. Bret is a gentleman and kind of works with what look you are after - even if you do not know how to do it! We met at a very upscale midtown location of my choosing, and he prefers morning light. I have seen other photos he has taken and hoped for the best. During the session, he asks if you like certain shots and shows them to you - if you have no idea how you look, this is good and you are involved in the outcome. But what I can say to you.....always trust your photographer. How you see yourself is not always how others see you and the shot Bret liked the most I was on the fence with. Needless to say, I went with him. Male photographers see a lot of beautiful women and they probably know better than us. You think?
