First, you should realize this is a department WITHIN the huge NK store in Stockholm, not a free-standing shop. That confused us a little when we were looking for it. But we were well-rewarded when we found it inside - a rainbow of notebooks as far as the eye could see, plus other things like cards, photo albums, recipe books, pens, rubber stamps, etc. I believe the notebooks are all made in Sweden, and the paper quality is lovely. When we visited they had quite a good selection on the sale table as well, with great prices. They have hardback ones and softcover ones, lined and unlined, in many different sizes, and of course, with those lovely fabric covers in a rainbow of colors. Some also have quotes or titles stamped in foil across the front - these are truly high quality notebooks. It was a feat of superhuman restraint to buy "only" 6 notebooks that day. They do have an online site that will ship internationally so I'm sure I'll order more.

Their home garments are of the top quality and would bring the note of innovation and comfort to every part of your home shelter. Additional praise to the personnel: the loveliest people ever! Always ready to help and meet very welcoming. I was clumsy one day to break two cups from the shop table, but the personnel acted very supportive and I really felt like a welcomed customer rather a stupid idiot (which I of course was in that situation) and I would love to buy more from them, after such kind treatment even in such unpleasant situations.

Last time I came out with a bargain from the sale rack on three tall glass jar candles at 25kr a piece (which my boyfriend pointed out were probably supposed to be "funeral" candles for halloween... but that is still up for debate. Oh well! HA!) Another great thing is this shop is right next to the T-banna at Fridhemsplan for easy access. I would suggest giving your typical office supply store a break and try out some of the stylish supplies here. =)

Matton offers a large selection of artist equipment, for professionals, amateurs and beginners. I would say it seems that they have it all, whether it comes to drawing, painting, building miniatures - you name it. Multiple types of paper, cardboard, sketchbooks, tutorial literature, glue, tape, artist tools, and the list goes on. Staff lets you stroll around the shop in peace, but gives help if you need it. The service I have had has been ok, not too friendly but not too bad either. Prices are good, I would say. They often have items of different producers and brands, so you can find the price / quality that fits your purpose the best. Location is convenient, as there is a tunnelbana station very close (Rådmansgatan) for rainy days, but when weather is nice, you can enjoy the streets of Vasastan. Luntmarkargatan is a tiny street, on the right hand side from Sveavägen, if you come from the centrum.
