I was delighted by what I found. This hotel sits on the end of the exit from I-75 in Locust Grove, Georgia, about 35 miles south of the Atlanta beltway. There is nothing that I could find to stand out in the area except for a Tangiers Outlet Mall and lots of trees. But Locust Grove wasn't my destination - sleep was. This is extremely well managed. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the rooms are very comfortable. The decor reminded me of some of the hotels I used to find in Germany - modern and tasteful. Service from the moment of check in to the moment of check out was with a huge smile. You are made to feel like one of the family. Hotel operators could learn some best practices by coming for a look at how these people present their beautiful hotel to the traveling public. Nothing fancy, just done right. The next time I have to travel to/from Atlanta and south, I will definitely be looking for this Comfort Suites in Locust Grove. With the recent experience I have had with Hilton, perhaps I might switch my loyalty. Now if they only had hotels outside the USA!

The front desk employee, Faith, made no effort to expedite the housekeeping process, even after I explained that my husband has a spinal cord injury and urgently needed the room to manage his condition. We did not receive notification that the room was available until 4:30 PM. The lack of urgency and accommodation we experienced was unacceptable for a guest with specific accessibility needs. Faith's conduct was a significant disservice to your brand and failed to meet the standards expected of your establishment. Also asked for a late check out. According to Faith, this property does not offer late check out. Housekeeping has ample opportunity for improvement. In addition to not being able to have rooms ready by 3pm, only cleaned the bathroom while we out. We have been staying at Choice Hotel properties for over a decade and have never been treated so poorly. I highly recommend staying with Hilton or Bon Voy where they treat their repeat patrons like they appreciate their patronage.
