My husband and I just recently relocated to Woodward. We noticed this restaurant always has a packed parking lot, so we wanted to give it a try. I ended up getting shredded beef enchiladas and when the waiter asked what sauce I asked for my options. He mentioned a chili sauce so being from California and being hispanic I asked is that like an enchilada sauce he said yes. So I said ok perfect assuming it was traditional. When receiving my food I was given a literal chili sauce like something you would put on a hot dog. The meat it self was good but the chili sauce was not it. After reading I see the restaurant is actually tex mex. My husband got carne asada and he wanted the rice and beans and a side of fries. He was brought meat and fries. The waiter clearly misunderstood him. He did end up bringing the rice and beans after we explained. His meat had lots of flavor. Lastly I found it kind of an inconvenience we had to purchase a liter of horchata when I was the only one that wanted 1 glass. So my husband ended up having to drink it also. It was a little over 4 glasses. For 8.99 I believe. Needless to say it wasn't our cup of tea. So we will not be returning. If you are used to authentic Mexican food there's a chance you will not like it. read more

Place always has cars in the parking lot, but I don't know if it's really all that. Food is just on par with a lot of the other Mexican restaurants around here, the service is good though. Came in for an early dinner with my boyfriend. Sat down, got our chips and salsa and was not asked for our drink orders for about 10 minutes. The queso was chunky, both queso and salsa were bland. Had a look through the menu, everything was ridiculously priced. ONE chile relleno was $14.99 without sides. For the prices, you hardly get any food. After our drinks came out, we were rushed to order and the server got upset when we weren't ready. Sat for another 20 minutes before they came back. Politely told our server that nothing on the menu sounded appealing and it was too pricey for us. We asked if we could pay for what we had, 2 waters, chips, salsa, and queso. Almost $6. Our server came back with the check and said "Are you not from here? I talked to my boss and we have lots of choices on our menu." The restaurant is nice inside and the waiter was attentive. We were here last year and the food was very tasty so we were looking forward to dining here again. The good was not up to par. Salsa and cheese sauce in plastic cups, the chimichanga looked like it was taken out of the freezer and deep fried. Not flavorful at all. The plate was plastic. Every time I find myself in Woodward I eat here and get a couple of meals to go. I've had Mexican food all over this country, including Mexico. By far, the BEST Chimney Changas EVER!! Great wait staff and they are not cheap about refilling the free cheese and salsa for the chips. read more

It's had to give a really accurate review here but I'm going to try. We were in town for a funeral and staying at a hotel across the street when we came to Ramiro's. The guy that waited on us was very helpful and extremely personable. I wish I would have gotten his name but again we had just come from a wake. One thing is I can say is they were all very accommodating. We came in late after the wake and apologized (they were supposed to close in 20 minutes) but instead of being put out they told us everything was still available. We just got a couple beers, queso and chips and tortilla soups. The soups were HUGE (see pic). My husband and I both got a bowl and the entire table could have shared one! All in all good place. Best chicken nachos! Great margaritas too. The atomic sauce is a lot like Ted's! And so is the cheese dip. We ordered a lot of 'meals' for a party at our house once & they put it together 'buffet style'.... I'm was perfect and less expenive than going to the grocery store and cooking all day for a crowd. Everybody enjoyed the food. We ordered fajitas, quesadillas and taquitos. O and it's our favorite spot for chips, cheese, salsa and a beer/margarita.... Stopped to eat lunch here on our way out of town after spending the weekend at Boiling Springs State Park. The good was that the food was delicious, and they kept bringing us yummy chips and salsa/queso. The bad was that on several occasions it seemed like we had slipped into a time warp where no one came by or even knew we were there. The food took a long time to come out and our waiter was no where to be found. Then when it came time for the check, we had to go hunt someone down because he was again nowhere to be seen. If I could give this place a ZERO I would I have traveled far and wide nationally and internationally and have never been treated with such a huge disregard for customer services. first we sat down and the waitress comes over so non chalantly to take our orders which there are six of us. We order and appetizer that takes over 30 mins to come out (it was a sausage dip) we then ask the waitress to take off said appetizer and not to bring it out since it had been so long which she argued the kitchen was busy and they couldn't take it off since it was supposedly already in process but she said she would talk to the manager to take it off 10 minutes later she comes back with the dip ! That we requested NOT be brought to us! The dip look like it has just been thrown together quickly and just forgotten to be put in instead the kitchen being backed up. Then another 30 minutes or so later our food came out and it was by far the worst Mexican I've ever had not worth the wait. We then called for the manager who came to the table and brought the waitress and began saying "Hi I'm the manager but this is your waitress !" And left and she continued saying "do you guys have a problem! " NEVER in all my years has a waitress or waiter talked to me so disrespectfully! She then argued that they were busy which they were not! And that we were not the only customers in the restaurant. We then pointed out that the customers next to us sat down 20 mins after us and got there food before us ! She retaliated with a smirk saying "there food was easier to make" they had similar dishes to ours ! Mexican food is the one cuisine that should be quick, cheap and easy to make !!!!!! So after having an amazing meal at Hector's someone I met mentioned Ramiro's and told me I had to try it. Now, I wish I hadn't. The food was subpar at best; watery salsa that was more like a purée than a salsa. Cold rice and beans and the portions for the fajitas seemed like they were meant for a child. The best part of this dinner was the ice cold water that suppressed my hunger while I waited over an hour for my food to come out. We had the rice and beans tortillas and guacamole. Their guacamole was incredible! The salsa has a very nice flavor. The tortillas seem to be homemade. The chips were the thicker type. They bring out salsa and queso to the table. They by default have the refried beans but they do have steamed pinto beans they were good. I'm sorry I'm a local here and have eaten at Ramiro's many of times!! I never leave reviews, but here we go! I brought my mother in law and family (group of 7). Long story short I had to request chips, I had to ask for my pico (that comes with the meal) 3 times. We had to ask for things multiple times!! I expressed my concern to the waitress and all she could reply with was "PERFECT". I then requested to speak with the manager and the owner came out!! Prior to the owner coming out I could see through the kitchen window, the waitress was pleading her case! The owner comes out with my pico. Right away she was making excuses for the waitress rather than taking OWNERSHIP, and offering a simple Sorry! She tried saying my meal didn't include tortillas (which was one of the complaints) I then explained to her I had requested when meal was ordered and after meal came! Regardless of all I completely understand the human factor and realize she maybe was over sat or the kitchen hectic! But don't come to your customers with excuses!!! Sorry Ramiro's!! Traveling for work and staying in Woodward for the duration. The first time at the restaurant was unpleasant, but not horrible. Here's a list of problems on the first visit... -25 minute wait -Wasnt served drinks or chips and dip for another 10 mins -Another 10 minutes to get our food ordered. -45 minute wait for food.. 2nd Visit. -30 minute wait to be seated -20 minutes to get drinks -15 minutes to get orders taken -45 minute wait to get food. -Orders were horribly wrong. My co-worker couldnt eat his dish because of a food allergy to something that was put in the dish after explicitly telling the waitress to alter the order. My dish looked like a microwave dinner thrown on a plate. To top it off there was multiple hairs in my food. -Waitress was complaining about her job to other employees within hearing distance of other patrons. Eat at your own risk.. This is the only Mexican we will go to in Woodward! Everything is very fresh and the Guacamole is the best around. If you're adventurous, you should try the Atomic Salsa. You start with their salsa (delicious), queso (real cheese), and chips (thin) - all so yummy. Everything I have ever ordered his has been wonderful, no matter the time or day.
