We've had such an awesome experience. Professor Carlos, Mark, and Matteo are super passionate about BJJ and are always so patient and helpful. They break things down in a way that makes it easy to learn, no matter your experience level. What I really love about Five Peaks is how welcoming and supportive everyone is. I was a complete beginner when I started, along with my youngest daughter, while my two older daughters had some experience. No matter where you are on your journey, you feel right at home here. The classes are a great balance of challenging and fun, and you really get a good workout while learning solid BJJ skills. The family vibe is also what makes this place special. My two youngest kids absolutely love the kids' classes, and it's been amazing to watch them build confidence and discipline. When I informed him that Tristan had been experiencing bullying at school, he immediately reassured me that he would help Tristan learn effective anti-bullying techniques and, more importantly, how to handle those situations with confidence and self-control. Everything Mr. Felarca has taught Tristan has been admirable. The words and responses he taught Tristan to use when confronted by a bully were thoughtful and appropriate. The defensive techniques he taught him were equally valuable. Krav Maga academy don't have an AC but they do have a fan in the corner of the room... but from some reason when I asked the trainer Anna to turn it on my request was ignored, and after another extremely uncomfortable round of sliding on my training partner sweaty body when I made a second request to turn on the fan I was screamed at to stop asking for it ... That was the last time I practiced there , but it's not the first time I felt like it's not the best place to invest my time and money in. The one hour class was never really a full hour of training because Anna always start the class late and finish early and 1/2 of the class talk about her tattoos and hair over and over again or tell us a pointless detailed story about what she did over the weekend, not to mention the many occasions actually Krav Maga learning is being cut short with ""fun activities "" killing time doing squats to the same AC/DC song for the million time... SD have several places to practice and learn Krav Maga, I would not recommend learning it at this facility. UPDATE: after I stop showing up to almost a month worth of paid classes due to the hostile behavior and zero apologies for mistreating me, Anna charged me for anther full month of class I will not attend. Really ugly way to treat a student, I hope anyone that consider her services read my review and learn from my horrible experience to stay away from this business, unbelievable.
