We recently stopped at Ramsey Towing & Service Center to have the Emergency Signals on our Subaru Forrester checked. The problem seemed very serious because the Check Engine Light wasn't the only light shining, ALL the dash lights were flashing. We feared the problem would be the end of our trip from Phoenix to Seattle and strand us in Kanab for a long stay. Ramsey checked the car's computer for the cause and determined the problem to be the solenoid in the transmission that controls the All-Wheel-Drive. The reason for the computer flashing all the dash lights was that the solenoid error left the car with only front-wheel-drive. Ransey explained that driving with only front-wheel-drive would not be a problem as long as we avoided mud, snow, and Ice. He recommended a transmission shop in St. George and even called them to verify they could make the repair quickly. We decided to make a slow and careful drive - with all the dash lights flashing - to St. George, where the repair was made that same day. The folks at Ramsey went out of their way to help us and we deeply appreciate their efforts. The Ramsey staff were friendly, understanding, very knowledgeable, and the charge was much lower than we expected. I very seldom leave reviews but Ramsey really earned this one! read more

I was driving to Kanab from Los Angeles the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and my car broke down 31 miles outside of Kanab in Zion national Park. I was traveling alone and was panicked because I didn't have cell service at first. I was able to reach Ramsay's Towing and Service for help, and Dakota saved the day by arriving with the tow truck. He took me to the shop to drop off my car then kindly dropped me at my hotel a few blocks away. Spoke to Jake on Memorial Day and he confirmed it was my radiator but couldn't get the part until Tuesday or Wednesday. Flat tire, middle of nowhere dirt road, no cell service, few cars passing by, not even a cow in sight to talk to. Who comes to my rescue but Nick, picking the phone up on a Sunday when they are supposed to be closed. This is actually my first flat tire ever but Nick talked me through how to tell if I had run flat tires, reading off numbers on my tire for him to look it up, knowing to ask for my GPS coordinates so the tow truck could find me, and talked me through driving back to pavement where Corbin picked me (and my German Shepherd) up. The epitome of small town kidness! Nick stayed late when I called just after their closing time of 530pm reporting I had gotten a flat on a backcountry road and was driving into town on my spare. I have an AWD vehicle but the other three wheels still have good tread and I appreciated Nick's compassion when he suggested I only needed to swap out the one tire instead of pressuring me to buy a new set of 4 tires. Nick then went on to go above and beyond what was ever expected, and suggested a good freedom camp spot close to town (with bathrooms!) that I could reach while driving on my spare tire. And while they initially didn't have my tire size (it's an uncommon size so I would be surprised if they did), Jake called around town at 8am the next morning and had my tire changed in no time! I can't begin to explain what I thought was wrong with my jeep after towing it with my motorhome though a loose gravel road work on the 89. I knew I was in trouble until I found Ramay's. Thought they would need my jeep for days. They could of did a $300/400 song and dance, but instead called me within a hour with "all fixed" news.
