We have been so appreciative. As new parents, it has been so nice and reassuring to have such a loving and supportive staff for those times where we've been worried. Dr. Coit has been wonderful since the moment we met him. As the daughter in-law of a retired physician, it gives me confidence to see a doctor like Dr. Coit who has decades of experience, knowledge, and pleasant bedside manner. The office could be in the back of a taqueria, and the staff could all be part of the witness protection plan, but if the doctor is spot on then that's the one for me. When looking for a pediatrician, Dr. Coit came highly recommended by local doctors and nurses at both Eisenhower and Desert Regional. Many of them told us that Dr. Coit would be the only doctor that they would choose. Our son has been seeing Dr. Coit for 4 months and we could not be happier with both the care our son gets, and the education we get as parents. He takes the time to answer all our questions and even answers the questions we do not know to ask yet. My son's circumcision was painless, at least for us, with no complications or any of the horror stories you hear about. The procedure, done at his office, was quick and easy, and our son was back peeing on mom with glee in less than a week. Picking a doctor is tough, but for us, picking Coit was the right choice. And deep down I'm glad it is on the Eisenhower campus and not in back of the Red Onion.

We eventually took our child to a specialist at Loma Linda, who told us the pediatrician's diagnosis and information were wrong. I cannot explain how terrifying it was to be told something was wrong with your child, only to later find out that it wasn't true. Both doctors involved in our experience showed a level of care and judgment that was extremely disappointing. What's even more concerning is that this is a teaching environment for future doctors. Unfortunately, they were out of network and hadn't informed me beforehand. It's ultimately my responsibility to be aware of my network, but here's the kicker: my daughter was seen by the doctor for a mere two minutes before he informed me that she needed to be taken to Loma Linda Children's Hospital because it was a serious issue. We immediately drove to Loma Linda Children's Hospital and waited in the emergency room. After a thorough examination, the Loma Linda doctors sent us home, stating that she was 100% fine. They simply said, "I don't know what kind of doctor you took her to, but she's fine." As a result, we are now responsible for paying $300 for a two-minute visit, a scare that led us to believe there was a serious issue, and not to mention the five hours of travel and wait time at Loma Linda.
