Food was very good. I had the dip with ground meat and cheese dip it was supposed to have beans in it but I substituted for pico. I don't remember the name but it was very very good. The complimentary salsa and chips had some actual seasoning to it, not just plain tomato. My grandkids liked the quesadilla and enchiladas they ordered. The building was clean and comfortable. Place was nice. This looks like a white people Mexican food place but man oh man is the food spicy! I got the enchiladas and most places have no spicy. This one was so spicy. Wasn't much of a fan. The chips and salsa were bomb though. Chips were hot and delicious. Love how they brought individual cups of salsa because of covid. Safety first and not sharing with your table. Everyone was raving about the chip dip which is just queso to dip chips in but the white cheese instead of the yellow nacho cheese. Ehh not a fan: looks like plastic when you coat your chip. Excellent food and service every time you visit. This is sort of the "hangout" or restaurant for local people. It's generally packed on certain nights, but usually doesn't take too long to be served. Salsa and guacamole are very good. They have a very large variety of margaritas and an expansive menu. Something for everyone. read more

We have been coming to this restaurant for years! Always have had good food at good prices and pretty good service. But tonight was probably our LAST VISIT!! Service was awful! Cook time was horrible and food had no taste. One of our party was served and then 15 minutes or more later another 2 were served and then another 15 or more minutes another 2 were served. By this time first served food was cold and tasteless. All food to one table should be served at the same time! Server did not check back with us for refills, etc. And it was never disclosed if you had 6 or more in your party that there would be a 15% tip added. So inadvertently we added a cash tip of $10 Which should have never happened. Server did not earn a $24.00 tip ! and food certainly was not worth it! read more

First off let me say you don't order pizza at a seafood house. I don't like Mexican food, so when I find myself at a Mexican restaurant I always order a steak. We ate here tonight with a large group of people. I ordered the grilled T-bone with fries and salad. The salad was very fresh. The fries were ok. I ordered the steak medium well to well done. The steak came well done, not burned and still very tender and juicy. However it looked and tasted like it was boiled. No grill marks no flavor at all. I ate it but had to saturate it with pepper, and salt. I was very disappointed. The wait staff never came back around that I saw during the meal till near the end. Very disorganized getting the food to the correct customers except for my wife and mine. They knew exactly where ours went. The Mexican food that was served looked excellent and everyone said it was delicious. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, and a clean bathroom usually translates into a clean kitchen. The unsweet iced tea I got was some of the best I've had out in a long time. My wife said her sweet tea was very good. As far as a Mexican restaurant to order Mexican I highly recommend them. But do yourself a favor do not get the steak. read more

Best Mexican restaurant we've found since moving here from Texas. Lucky for us it's in our new hometown! We enjoy all their shrimp dishes - always fresh & tasty. Go to Mexican restaurant for this area always pleasant staff and good food. We go here at least twice a month. Dinner rush can be a little loud but that's no ones fault obviously. We always go between 2pm and 4pm if we can help it. read more

There are not many food choices in Russellville, but this is the best mexican food. El Patron is not nearly as good as Rancho Viejo. I think Casa Mexicana in Muscle Shoals and Rosie's Cantina in Florence are the best choices in the area, but this is the best in Russellville. The best dish (it's simple, but totes worth it) is a bed of rice, grilled chicken, covered in queso. Their staff is really great. They have a naturally blonde hispanic guy that's worked there forever (he's super nice). They have plasma screens so you can watch futball. You can lie and say it's your birthday and get to wear a big hat. It's a pretty special place. read more

My wife turned me onto this place a few years ago. While the building and atmosphere is unremarkable the food is consistently. I'm not sure I've ever had a bad meal here. My husband and I eat here quite regularly. The food has always been great, prices very reasonable, and big portion sizes. We always end up having to get a carry out box.
