This past June, Bernie was able to fit us into his schedule 3 weeks before our set wedding date (we hired him last minute due to the Corona Virus pushing off our wedding). He was very understanding and accommodating with our needs, and exceeded our expectations! On the big day, he arrived to the church early and started shooting before I had even arrived. He didn't say anything regarding me being tardy, but rather welcomed me to join as he continued to get shots of the wedding party and family. Not really knowing how to pose ourselves individually or in a group setting, we felt very comfortable with his direction and requests on how to place ourselves accordingly for the photos. I hired Bernie for two hours, and he stayed for well over 3 hours since the Holy Mass ran longer than expected. We had to plan our STL metro area wedding from California and David was there for every step; from the first video chat planning session to staying several hours at my mother's house 4 months later to help us finish the album. We could not have done a cross-country wedding without him! 2) Communication: David will make sure you love you're pictures! He is takes very detailed notes and gives you plenty of time to reflect on what you want. The more details you can give him the better, so he knows exactly what to shoot for. We definitely needed a photographer who would "direct" the more formal portraits and he was on top of everything! 3) Wedding planning: David was very organized from the engagement contract, to the list of shots we needed, and everything in between. He went above and beyond, scouting different areas around the reception location to make sure we had plenty of options on the big day. We did several run throughs on paper and in person. He really acted like wedding planner! 4) Day of: First, David came for the rehearsal dinner even though it was not required. On the big day, he had a second shooter and an assistant (which we discussed). Everything was streamlined and coordinated. The crew was very reverent when needed, but also managed to capture a lot of private moments. After the ceremony, the crew worked with us to get family portraits and wedding party portraits in 2 different locations before heading to the reception! 5) Personal touches: David truly understands how to keep the experience personal. He sent us multiple surprises, on top of everything included in the package. He even hand delivered parent albums even when we could not! 6) Photos: They turned out so well, we did 40 spreads!!! Jessa was amazing and we lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves. I loved the panel lights, those were not available at the other location. They also had some really fun props and a fitting room, if you bring extra outfits for your photos which is a fantastic idea. End result, I have a new headshot for my LinkedIn, my friend has photos for her profile and we have a great memory of goofing around for an evening.

The wedding packages come in three price tiers to fit your budget. Gary works with you to ensure you are getting everything you want for your wedding day. Carolyn sat with us to talk about a realistic payment plan (the wedding was a year away at this point) and provided receipts for every payment. The package included an engagement photo session which Gary highly encourages for the mere fact that it is an opportunity for him to get to know the bride and groom. Gary was very conversational during the engagement shoot and really just observed how we interacted so he could best prepare for the big day. The engagement photos turned out beautiful. A week before the wedding, Gary called and I walked him through the schedule of events for the day of. He was very open to requests and made suggestions of locations to take photos between the ceremony and reception. On the day of, he and his team were so helpful and professional. He kept my entire wedding party laughing and truly felt like a part of our group. I had so many of my friends and family complimenting how personable Gary and his team were and how they were really pleased with the ease and pace in which everything got done. His wife assisted him on the day of and she was not only sweet as can be, but SO creative with her photos. When I received the photos (about a month later since there were SO many), I cried. I was SO pleased with how beautiful they were and the attention to detail each held. Not only did Gary and his team perfectly capture our big day just as I remembered it, but he was truly a part of the experience that made the day feel so special. I spent over an hour editing and making comments for none of it to save. After having the photo unlocked and attempted again we still were having issues. I believe he's changed his set up now to make it more user friendly.

I'll summarize the process:…read more- I emailed with Noah to give some details and set up an initial meeting time - I met with Noah to try some drinks to flesh out the menu (not free tasting, BTW) - I got the contract, finalized details of pick up/take down (complicated during Mardi Gras) and payed 50%. - A list of alcohol for me to purchase was sent out a week before the event. - They set up the day before, show up the day of, do the deed, I pay, and pick up their stuff the next day. Now, I used their glasses, their ice, their bar setup, etc. I only supplied the alcohol and mixers. I ended up with two bartenders: one experienced (Rob) and one learning. In the end, I probably didn't need two for the party of about 40 people. One would have been sufficient. We did three cocktails, one mocktail, one cocktail into a spritzer, one red wine, one white wine and two beers. It was a pretty stellar menu! Price-wise, it was about $1100 for 4 hours, not including alcohol. Seemed like a lot of money but is likely on par with similar services. I was very very happy with their service, their drinks and their set up. They'll be getting a call back for this year's party no doubt!
