Such a fun place for a toddler! Bring extra clothes for the water section. the only thing I wish is that they had a calendar of classes

my 2 year old was entertained for about an hour and a half and we explored everything at least for a little bit. he spent a lot of time at the main attraction (the water station) and microscope but everything else was kind of..meh. thankfully the day we visited it wasn't too crowded, would definitely not be worth it if it were crowded. i'm hoping VG takes the sad and empty food court and builds something for children in there. it's cute but the price of the tickets are the same price as Kidspace Museum in Pasadena (we visit kidspace often) and they have over 3 acres of outdoor areas to explore as well as a lot of indoor activities.....for the price it's not worth it unfortunately. I am glad we finally got to see it though and would probably visit once more with grandma and grandpa. read more

I came to second story for the first time. It's inside the Randall Lewis Library, pretty much next to the mall. They have a parking lot! I did not know this and parked far by the mall because of it. Everything is super clean inside and I loved how it's a completely separate space upstairs. The staff was really friendly. The young lady who helped me had colored hair and glasses and she was just so helpful and kind. My little boy was very excited to play once we were in there. The best part is the water area. Kids love water and there's so much to do just in that area. If I'm being honest, everything else fell short. It was cute but not enough things for tots to interact with or be distracted with for more than a few minutes. I honestly don't think it's worth the price. $15 for kids and $16 for adult. I don't really get places like this that charge for adults too. I think it should be one or the other or atleast let it be cheaper. We're looking after our children. So Idk why I have to pay $16 for that. The other downside were the field trips. I checked online and they didn't have a field trip scheduled which is why I chose this date but I'm guessing that changed because it got filled so quickly! I'm glad I got there early and my kids were able to enjoy some time alone especially with how little they are. The field trip was for kids in elementary so they were a lot bigger. That kinda killed the mood. Especially since it feels like more of a place for tots. My little ones didn't know what to do since there were so many kids and they couldn't get into certain water sections. Especially when the big kids are all around the area for shortest height. So that's another reason why I think the price is not worth it. We're paying customers and our time there gets cut short because these field trips take over. Maybe there should be specific times just for that? We could barely walk through some areas. And I was trying to not have my little ones knocked down. My kids, ages 2-7, all ready enjoyed this! We spent 2.5 hours there, and they would have enjoyed staying longer if it didn't close at 4pm, but in saying that, we had seen and done it all and were just repeating favorite activities at that point. I personally would not go for the normal $16 per person. That's a lot for a family of 2 or more kids!! However, anyone with SNAP/EBT/WIC can get four tickets for just $6 each. Now THAT is worth it! We truly enjoyed our time and I'd be happy to take the kids again in a few months at that low price. read more

Very fun and my son loved it! He is now almost 3, but he was 1 and a half when he went. Definitely suggest bringing a change of clothes cuz the kids will get WET at the water station. It is a very popular station lol. My main complaint is the price. It's crazy how adults have to pay... there are a handful of places that don't charge adults or charge like $5. Rancho is a very rich city...so not like they are hurting for money ..not sure why over charge the community. It also can get crowded so be sure to try and go early..not late read more

My sister, niece, and I checked this place out on a Wednesday afternoon. Adults need to sign a waiver. (The waiver mentioned something about kids may trip or fall or some stations may even cause death??). We paid for our tickets & signed the waivers. Up the stairs we went! We noticed it was crowded with lots of kids screaming & running (we even saw a sign that said no running! lol). My niece is 6 years old and she loves to problem solve so a lot of stations were challenging for her. She loved looking underneath the microscope at the different slides. She enjoyed climbing on the rock wall. Although it was entertaining for all of us, it only lasted for an hour until we got bored. Why are exposed? I think they should be removed somethings going on here twice that I went. I spoke with Kevin and he reassured me and again we went back one more time under the string lights. I looked carefully and exposed wire and it's right near the water until somebody really gets hurt. This is not a good thing. I'm paying for my grandbaby to have the best time of his life. I don't wanna keep looking at the lights that might shock him. He loves this place he loves the lights. The staff is great but there is an issue that should be resolved. read more

The Randall Lewis Second Story Museum is a really nice place to bring little ones. It's interactive with quite a bit of things for them to do, and I love that they update their activities every few months to keep it fresh. It is on the pricier side for tickets, especially considering the facility is relatively small, but it's still worth visiting once in a while. If you have older kids (around 8 and up), they'll probably still have fun but may not spend as much time there as younger kids would. They don't have a snack bar, but they do allow you to bring in outside food and drinks to enjoy in their small snack area (just a few tables and chairs). Also, make sure to plan accordingly because they do not allow re-entry once you leave. Overall, it's a great place to cool off during a hot summer day and gives you something to do besides just visiting the library downstairs. I would definitely recommend it for families with little ones looking for an indoor activity. read more

Seriously??? What a rip off...$16 for kids $15 for adults... randomly saw a post on instagram and decided to come check this place out. Me and my son got BAMBOOZLED. The only semi cool thing is the water play area right when you walk in. And oh yeah, bring extra clothes because your kids will get wet. Other than that there wasn't much to do at all. The jungle gym area was super tiny and you must be 6 to go by yourself. Sorry but yeah we will NEVER come here again. Better off going to Chuck E. Cute place to go but way too pricey for what you get. Adults shouldn't be charged admission to stand around. Even play places give you up to 2 adults free entry with kids tickets. This is such a cute STEAM focused place to take your kids! It's reasonably priced. My kids love anything science and space, so they had a blast. It's on the second floor in the library. The place is not too big but there's still so many different activities and little attractions. Honestly such a great in door place to take your kids to run around and get some energy out. read more

Also, this should've been built separately from the library. A pretty small space with not that many things to do .there is a water table that kids could play on ,a small jungle gym kind of thing and there is a classroom where you could paint and draw but when we were there, there is no paint or nothing available. There is also a like projector where you can make your own character and a small play grocery store not worth the price. read more

It was baby and toddler friendly. But I would have liked to see a nursing room. My son is 10 months old and enjoyed the spinner wall the most. I personally enjoyed the rocket launching and appreciated the various sitting options and reading nooks. read more

First and foremost. TAKE EXTRA CLOTHING!! If your little one enjoys water I HIGHLY recommend you take extra clothing. Especially if visiting during colder days. The water was a HUGE hit for my little ones and honestly that's all they really enjoyed doing. The indoor jungle gym was too big for them to do alone and everything else didn't hold their attention as much as the water table. It's pretty small which makes it way too expensive for the price. The San Bernardino county museum is free and a lot bigger than this. Unfortunately I don't really see myself coming back but my kiddos did enjoy this. read more

Took my two boys here today ages 2 and 4. I was excited to check it out. First thing to mention it's kinda pricey for what it is. 16$ for adults and 15$ for kids is steep because honestly it's small and the only thing my little kids could really be into was the water table area. They couldn't do the climbing wall, they couldn't go into the large indoor playground thing because each platform level was kinda high and difficult for my 4 year old, even with me in there to help it's odd. Especially if it's crowed. My main concern and issue is the lack of safety measures put in place, for example the stairs. There's no gate or door stopping my two year from heading down the staircase. And if you're the only parent with multiple kids is hard sometimes to keep an eye on one while the other is running around. Honestly not what I expected especially for shelling out 46$ dollars for my kids to essentially play at a water table and walk around in circles. I can see it being more exciting and fun for older kids. Maybe? read more

We didn't have the best experience here but it is not entirely the facilities fault. I took my daughter and she was playing just fine until she slipped and fell so hard she bit a big gash into her tongue. She fell I. Front of 4 employees who just stood and stared at her. When I ran and saw that she was bleeding from her mouth, I told them she is bleeding and if I could please have some paper towels and they handed me one single Kleenex. I ran her to the restroom where she calmed down a bit and wanted to go back and play. At that point a woman who I am guessing was a manager of some sort came to check on her. I let her k ow she is ok and wanted to keep playing. After a few more minute decided to leave because she was obviously still uncomfortable. By the advice of her dentist they suggested the emergency room which is where we ended up. I know it is not entire the fault of the staff but there are ways to make the area safer. For the water table being the most popular thing there, it should have been managed a bit better. There were kids splashing water all over the place and there were no slip resistant mats around the area. My daughter was going from the main table to the little tube where theballs get sucked up and dropped back In the water. To me it was a waste of $30. read more

This interactive space is fun for the little ones, but the entrance fee (especially for adults) is absolutely ridiculous and incredibly restrictive. The admission fee for most children's museums (with a much wider range of activities and things to see) is literally cheaper than it is to visit this space, which is quite small with not much to do overall. They charge $16 per adult for you to basically hang back while your kids play, plus $15 per child from ages 1-17. Adult tickets honestly should not exceed $5-7 max. Children's tickets would feel more reasonable at $10-13 for what you're actually getting. Definitely not worth the money. read more

First and foremost, it's so nice to have a place like this local to us. Most are in OC and are quite a bit of a drive. The cost to get in is $15 children and $16 per adult. For us, a family of three it costed $50 to get in. Now this place is nice but I definitely think it's overpriced and I'm not sure I would go back often because of it. Or maybe offer discounts - homeschooling? Discount. First responder, teacher, military- discount. Whatever it is. We actually considered the membership because it would have been a much better cost but they were not willing to "upgrade" our day pass to a membership. So for us, it might be a once in a great while thing. Next, the place was nice and educational. The water table was a big hit. The other centers were just ok but the place is nice. Very small place but nice. One thing I thought was dumb was there is no re entry. I don't understand this. I have a kid, kids eat often. If we left to go eat and come back that was not allowed. Another thing I'd be interested to see is more seating for the parents. Especially around the water table area. But for me, a big no no was the fact that there are very steep stairs that are right next to the water table without a gate. I felt like I had to hover over my toddler just to make sure she didn't go in that direction. Seriously unsafe for kids. Oh! And they have very large floor transitions (the floor from hard to carpet had "transition" sealing pieces or whatever they're called - my daughter tripped over them twice. Lastly, I hope they have a good cut off number of people to enter at once. We went today and because the place is so small, it would have been much less enjoyable if they allowed anymore people in. Overall here's the deal. This place is nice. It's clean. It's not exactly safe yet but those issues can be fixed. The educational content is great. There's a lot a toddler can learn there if there's not too many people. The cost is too pricey to go often in my opinion but they could remedy that with discounts. I would recommend it but I would have a few concerns to share too. read more

My two toddlers enjoyed their experience here. It's not very big but entertaining enough. My kids spent most of the time at the water table. When we went it wasn't overly packed so that made the experience more enjoyable. Clean restrooms, clean snack areas, looks like the employees maintain it really well.
