PLEASE NOTE: This review is just for PYO and not for their farm stand which is located on the corner of Ossipee Trail and Randall Road. This is Portland's apple orchard. Only being 15 to 30 minutes outside of the city (depending on where you're coming from), it's the closest and easiest to get to. This is a no frills orchard: pay for what you want to pick (for 1/2 a bushel it was $25), mostly the trees are macs and corts, you can walk right into the orchard or get a tractor ride down to other trees on the weekends, there's real apple cider available for sale (half gallon was $5), maybe some gourds in a pile. Easy peasy. If you were looking to make apple picking a quick part of your day and not a full on event, Randall Orchards is exactly what you're looking for. (SIDE NOTE: They love and respect others local farmers and other orchards in southern Maine; we appreciated having a heart to heart with an employee about some of the unfortunate closures that happened this year.) read more

Highly enjoyed this pizza out in an igloo. It was chilly out but the igloo broke the wind and it was pretty fun. Pizza crust was delicious. My apple pizza was different. Apple butter, tasted more like dessert but it was lovely. Hubby had a more traditional meat pizza and that was good too. Service was okay. Nice people. read more

Went apple picking here the other day! So many choices of apples and a great big orchard. The apples I got were delicious. They also have lots of other things for sales. We didn't wait in the donut line but it was super long so I bet they are great. They also have pizza too. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Def worth a stop! read more

My group of 4 people had a blast eating pizzas in an igloo. We didn't need to turn on the space heating, the sun kept us warm even on a cold day with cold wind chills. We ordered 4 different pizzas all with different toppings, and there were more varieties on the menu that we'll try next time. Thanks for this unique dining experience. read more

Randall is a spacious apple orchard in Standish. A small bag is super affordable, the space is beautiful and decorated with kitschy fall decor perfect for photo opps. I was happy to purchase apple cider, a peanut butter chocolate whoopie pie (the size of my face!!!) and some pumpkins from them as well. The staff was super friendly. They have a donut shack open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-2, which I missed, but am incredibly excited to try again sometime soon! read more

We try to go here every year. Picked some great apples again this year. Pricing is reasonable but just spending time in the orchard walking in the fresh air is worth the trip! Our favorite apples aren't yet ready because there hasn't been a frost so looking to go back. Got to enjoy a ride in the wagon pulled by a tractor. Just a nice little addition to the experience. We got delicious donuts at the end as well. Probably my favorite apple orchard in Maine. Highly recommend. read more

We must have gone too early in the season because I don't understand why anyone would give them 4, never mind, 5 stars. We did not enjoy our experience at all. Only 4 types of apples to pick, which I'm not used to because other orchards we've gone to have many more options. There are no signs upon check in to tell you what apples are ready to be picked so we wandered around aimlessly looking for sweet apples, could not find any. We went back to the desk & asked which were the sweetest to pick to which we received the response "take a bite and decide for yourself" Gee, thanks. I've been spoiled for years by the amazing Dole's Orchard, which sadly, is no longer a pick your own orchard. Oh well, we will try another orchard next year & never go back to Randall. read more

we come every year and we are never disappointed!! I've picked apples from here since I was a child (I'm 43 now) and have brought my children(16 &21) since they were babies!! Most places that do pick your own are by the pound and it's expensive especially at 2.49 or more per pound!! Randall's does it by the bag(peck,half peck, half bushel , bushel etc) as of 2025 most expensive bag is 25$. They have a lot to offer besides apples. They have donuts, pizza, cider , farm stand with all kinds of fruits and vegetables along with other local goods!! They have a day that is geared for children and have some fun things for them to do. I'm not sure about this year but they have done tractor rides back and forth along the front half of the Apple orchard. I honestly dont have anything bad to say about Randall's. It's family run (last I knew) and stayed in the family. If you have children it's something fun to do and they can learn something while there! It's fun for adults too!!! read more

This was the first orchard we stopped at during our apple picking day last Saturday. The kids had a blast. The prices are also really good. Not super expensive at all. I forgot exactly how much we paid, but it was definitely under $30. We bought pumpkins as well (a large, medium and 2 smalls). The farm stand was super cute. We were slightly bummed that they were out of the $1 pumpkins, haha. I really can't complain since like I mentioned, their prices are good. As for the actual apple picking. There are so many rows of trees, and the apples were delicious. Even the ones on the ground weren't all bruised or damaged. We did have to really search for the Red Delicious apples. All the other types were pretty easy to get. The red delicious seemed to be the only ones that were hard to find. You had to walk all the way down to the end of the row to get to them. The trees at the beginning of the row were pretty barren. I guess one tip I have for everyone would be to just keep walking down the row if you're looking for those. Other than that this place was great. They had an abundance of apples on the Cortland and McIntosh trees. read more

I absolutely adore Randall's. I've been coming annually for close to a decade. Go early in the morning for a bucolic setting and quiet time to peacefully pick apples, or simply walk around the grounds and buy a peck from the wooden bins before you leave. Usually late morning is when the families with kids start piling in. They have hayrides and the kids usually seem to have fun. I've seen some unsupervised apples fights, so be careful to not slip on apple shrapnel or get hit by crossfire. Besides being picturesque and having an abundance of apple trees and varieties, the apples are always crisp and crunchy. Yum! read more

I was very disappointed with my first visit here. It was advertised that they had donuts, cider, and apples (of course). We drove thirty minutes to get there and found out they didn't have donuts. It was quite a disappointment for us. I would recommend to call before you make the long drive out there. Advantages: they offered free samples of the cider and they had the types of apples that we enjoy (Fuji and Golden Delicious). read more

We went here today to pick apples after a disappointing visit at another u-pick farm in Gorham. On arrival we could see it was extremely busy as was the Gorham Farm. This was where the two visits took on different directions. Randall was organized with peeps directing cars where to park for one. Two was the bags for picking were outside and readily accessible. Three, no one needs to take you down to the trees, they are everywhere around you, marked with signs saying what kind of apples are growing in the row. The bags are paid for in advance, you fill it up and go in your way, easy peasy, a great experience. We plan on going to Randalls again next year. Went to Randall's Apple Orchard today with my students and we were treated fantastic! For $3 per student the kids all got a small bag to fill with apples as the walked through the orchard. The also revived a hayride by farmer Grady who addressed the crown with tons of knowledge about Randall's and the apple industry in general. Did you know that Randall's was established in 1905 and have several different varieties of apples. They also produce 1,000 gallons of apple cider each day with about 50,000 gallons each season. We've been to a few places in Grey and Sweetsers. We like Randall's because you get to pick your own. The prices are pretty fair as well. Sometimes they have more variety, but generally we are looking for Cortlands. Definitely call ahead if you are in search of a particular apple. We were just there on monday and the pears were not ready yet. Just means we have to make an other trip! read more

I've never had better Apple Cider any where else. After drinking Randall Orchard's cider I can't enjoy other brands as much because it doesn't measure up. It's the fact that they add no preservatives that allows it to keep it's all natural flavor. This is a fun farm to bring your family to. They have a hay ride to drive you deeper into the orchard to pick your own apples. We drive 2.5 hours from MA every year to experience the best. read more

Randall orchard is a family owned business that makes the best apple cider in all of southern Maine. They grow a wide variety of apples and you can either pick them yourself or get them already bagged up. Lots of families with small children can be seen roaming the orchard and picking their apples. There are a number of old farm implements that decorate the grounds. Very fun to visit. read more

Not many activities. Most places offer more to do with the kids to make a day of it. If you are there for just apples and it is a close drive it is probaby fine but if you are looking for more of an experience go someplace else. read more
