However, I stated to him before the procedure (twice )! already have X-rays and MRI images of my back. I made this aware before my injections. There was no need for the injections. The images I already obtained would have shown surgery could be needed. I asked him to look at the imaging which is why l asked for a second consultation. ****He should have told me this before my injections, not after!**** I feel like I just put a $3000 Band-Aid on my L4 L5 vertebrae. Dr. Hammit, for example, specializes in shoulder treatment and surgery. Dr. Leahy specializes in spinal treatments and surgery. There can be extended wait times for office appointments, but this is understandable given the nature of their medical practice. If I or one of my children breaks a bone, I want them to be seen first. The office staff is usually good about letting you know if a longer wait can be expected due to an emergency, and I appreciate that.

With access to my medical records and about eight weeks out from my scheduled exam, I called this office to schedule a new patient appointment. Over the course of a three-day period, no one ever answered the phone at this office (281-465-4050). At varying times, I would be prompted to either call back at another time or leave a message and my call would be returned "by the end of the business day" because they were "busy helping other patients." Twice I left very detailed messages. I never received a call back from this office. Lower than a one-star rating: if a doctor's office can't get their front desk to answer the phone at ANY time during the day (I called on and off for multiple hours over the course of multiple days), and then phone calls are not returned after messages are left -- forget it. If this is an indication of how you and your staff treat your patients, you're not a physician I'd want to see anyway. Located a different doctor. Their office answered the phone on the first try and I was able to make an appointment immediately.
