He and his staff were very welcoming, kind and knowledgeable and he was able to put the prosthetic abutment on an implant that was initially started by another Oral Surgeon who was unable to remove the healing cap after an hour of working on me. The warm welcome by the office staff made me feel right at home. Once in the office Dr. Barasz took the time to explain all the details of the procedure and what the process would be. After a lot of decision making I pulled the trigger and got the procedure. It was pretty invasive but Dr. Barasz made sure I was comfortable the whole time and would pause if I wasn't. The staff continued to reach out after the procedure to check in and my mouth has made some dramatic changes since. I would recommend this office to anyone who is considering Wilckodontics or tooth extractions.

Office staff person was argumentative, constantly interrupting me, didn't listen to my concerns or clarify reasons why certain information was needed - like, why do you need both me and my wife's SSN? It was just a terrible experience trying to get simple answers to simple questions. Went to the appointment anyway. First person at the desk was kind enough, but didn't take long before the person I'd spoken to on the phone inserted herself into the conversation, took charge and immediately went into the same act of interrupting, being rude and difficult to deal with. Needless to say, the dentist office didn't get my business. I left and drove over to my dentist to complain about the situation and get a referral to someone else. I really don't care whether these people are good dentists. There are a lot of good dentists capable of giving a second opinion on something. But if you shouldn't have to put up with being treated rudely to get it. These folks lost my business before I ever sat in a chair.

The hygienist caused more pain during my cleaning than I'd ever had at Cheshire Dental. My son had to have the same cavity filled twice, and then 6 months later the same tooth started causing severe pain. We came back to Dr Fletcher and he discovered an abscess and the tooth needed a root canal. I decided our teeth are too important to chance on mediocre dentistry, and we will be staying with Cheshire Dental and Dr Fletcher from now on. So while my mouth was (and still is slightly??) sore from my visit, I really liked the staff here in addition to Dr. Dow. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly pleasant as was the woman (could have been the same woman) who checked me in. Check-in was a piece of cake and then I endured torture (self-induced) with Megan through no fault of her own. I warned her I'm a baby and difficult and she did her best to not murder my mouth but it is what it is. I think she was relieved to get me out of her chair but she did a very nice job and tried sparing me as best she could. She was patient! Dr. Dow came in about halfway through and was very sweet and told me I now have a dental home here, which was a comforting thing to say. I hadn't really settled on a dentist since I was a kid and always saw the same one. I liked the technology here as well - they have a TV screen mounted up on the wall so you can see your x-rays and other pictures they take as they go through - this makes it easy to point out any issues or signs of plaque, decay, fillings, etc. (At first I was worried about a GIANT white dot only to find out it was a previous filling, not a giant cavity). I think I read a google review about how awful the music was (which made me laugh) and I assure you, the music playing there was fine. Overall, while I need to get better about my dental visits, I would highly recommend this dental practice.

Meanwhile, the patient using the tablet is receiving notifications on the tablet regarding other patient's information. And if the person using the tablet touches on one of the notifications, it will take them to someone else's information. Huge privacy violation and risk. I am sure many patients information has been breached. Also the interior design needs improvement. I got Houdini / haunted mansion / crazy cat lady vibes. But with their huge privacy/hippa issue, that's the least of their worries. And to top it off, they're like salesmen. Looking to squeeze every dime out of you. You can tell the difference between a practitioner who does it for the right reasons vs a practitioner who sees it as money. This office is definitely about sales. I do not recommend Wolfy Dental Group Wallingford. Are there any professionals anymore? Jeez The dentist uses what appears to be a snap chat filter on what is supposed to be a professional headshot. That's the level we're at now.
