This store generally has products to meet our hardware needs and the staff are always helpful, though the prices seem a little higher than big box stores. I was lucky enough to get Carrie on the phone. They did not have what I wanted, but Carrie took the time to kindly realign our expectations. The bulbs we were looking at turned out to be only 3 watt and not even an option for ambient lighting GTH. She made alternate suggestions and even offered to call her wholesaler and order us some samples. Carrie was awesome. Gosh I hope I am spelling her name correctly . These folks are our lighting folks for life. Superior service, kind caring and friendly staff. It doesn't get much better than this.

This store stocks all of the basic / essential tools, miscellaneous supplies & (Plumbing & Septic) hardware, that you would expect to find @ any other VAMAC. However, it also keeps a large inventory of all types of hand / power tools, electrical hardware, janitorial supplies, (basic) automotive maintenance supplies, safety equipment (PPE) & many more essential goods related to the construction industry in general. The other thing that makes this new VAMAC Branch stand out is the guys who have been running this store from day one. Anthony & his crew of guys are absolutely great. Anthony has gone out of his way to help me figure out various solutions to problems I needed to remedy & answer whatever questions I have had for him (& his crew). In conclusion. The Ruckersville VAMAC, is a great place to do business with. From the store to the employees, this branch stands apart from & above the local competition & even among the other VAMAC Stores across Virginia. (I have been to all of them at least a few times and some stores I visit once or twice a week @ a minimum.... So yeah, I would know)

And did you know that some doors at G&W come with hardware while others dont? We didnt either. G&W said the final delivered door was correct per the architectural plans. But there were conversations since then about this door changing its swing. On April 9, we agreed to split the cost of the final door, which is due in June, long after construction.

We are blowing out the old small windows and framed in huge, non-standard size windows. This is complicated by the fact the house is a 1950's Brick Ranch house, changing window sizes on a brick house not recommended (lesson learned). So, when it came time to order windows I researched how to measure correctly, read code requirements and went to two locally recommended shops. After going back and forth for 3-4 weeks, and both refusing to double check my measurements (I was unsure of my accuracy and once bought, you own the windows, no refunds). A construction company we hired to help with the brick work and window install recommended Gaston and Wyatt. We called them, they came out and we walked through the house, discussing our goals and they made recommendations. They caught a couple code issues I missed being a rookie (and codes change). They solved a few window size, opening and style questions for us, and they measured everything. We had our windows installed last week (and a big sliding glass door) and it is beautiful. They are quality windows that fit wonderfully in the space. I am so relieved, no reorders, no delays, no reworks or adjustments. The windows just fit, and work wonderfully. Go with a pro, it makes a difference.

I generally need between twelve and eighteen yards of various materials every Spring as I have a large property with lots of landscaping. As such, I have done business with most of the purveyor's of mulch and stone in the Albemarle County area. I have found Rose Hauling's products to be of high quality and the customer service to be top notch. I came on here to post this after reading through the 1 star review. It does sound like a poor experience but I would also suggest some culpability on the part of the reviewer since having some familiarity with the size stone being discussed should be expected. You can stop in at either Rose's or Luckstone and they can show you the different grades of materials including stone size.

Rose hauling suggested a #3 stone for setting up a shed on. This stone is EXTREMELY way to large for raking or leveling to set a prebuilt shed on using concrete block. I'm truly at a loss for words that a company being in business this long would have made such a grave error. After recommending the wrong stone they set up the delivery. It was asked a number of times and communicated to the driver on site that we needed it spread as much as possible. Mind you the driver was able to drive to the location of where the shed is being placed, no trees, no overhead powerlines, no buildings in his path.....however He COULD NOT SPREAD****HE DUMPED 4 yards of #3 stone right in the middle of the shed location. What in the world did he or anyone expect us to do with this. RAKE IT?????? I've never been so taken back by such blatant laziness and disregard for putting a customer in such a situation. Now, Rose Hauling completely blames us for the incorrect stone....which keep in mind THEY suggested since we had NO IDEA what to get and for the driver NOT being able to spread NOT one bit....but could clearly dump. Never again will I deal with such a company that takes no responsibility NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. Which did I mention we now have to pay someone an additional $100 on top of the almost $400 we paid to deliver 5miles if that, spread this LARGE pile of VERY LARGE stone so that the shed can be set up tomorrow. Again, if you want a very customer service oriented company deal with Luckstone in Ruckersville. If I could give a NEGATIVE number this is truly what this business deserves.

He's been at sports and school and I only allow him to play on the weekend. He tried to play it today and can't. There's no image that pops up. Avoid buying electronics. A waste of $400. Craaaazy. Item is long gone, I've lost lots of money and time, will not communicate with me. They have kept all my money and any insurance paid by usps. I opened a case early on with eBay, seller then said they opened usps insurance case, they promised to take care of it, I would not be forgotten! That was early August, now it's late February. I've left many messages only to be ignored and left with a very expensive experience in hundreds of $. Not ever a sorry for anything. Do Not Trust These People !!!!!!!!!!!
