It was juicy, flavorful, and filling. My friends got the okra and veggie samosas (they loved both). I decided to come back a few days later for take out. Both of us had the chicken masala which was one of my favourite dishes in past visits but the current iteration was weak and flavourless. The giant metal dish came with a portion of chicken and the three side compartments were just overloaded with more rice than either of us could finish. The rice was of a very low quality. The service remains OK, however the old restaurants featured waiters in uniform, the new restaurant has one man with a bulging belly wearing jeans and a white undershirt doing everything from hosting to serving. So, the the ambience which used to be very nice is now about low rent diner level. The restaurant is now called India Gate under the new ownership. However, this place has gone from a five star review to a zero. There was nothing about our meal yesterday that would cause me to recommend this to anyone. I am a former Tour guide in PRAGUE and this was one of my favourite places to recommend. It's now off my list.

It was extremely affordable and you weigh the already quite heavy trays full of your food on a scale. The atmosphere tends to feel like the basement it's in, but the dining area is not bad with Indian music playing throughout, adding to the experience. I could see myself coming here again, but likely need more guidance on what to get.

When I started with my Mango Lassi and appetizers, I though to myself, "I'm not so sure about this number 1 thing". But it was rated #1 "curry", so that's the dish I should base it off of. Coming from a Carribean background, where curry is a staple dish, and growing up on Indian food as well, I know my curry flavor. When they brought the curry chicken out, from the presentation to the actual taste of the food, without any qualms I was sold that this lived up to the hype. Their curry had so much taste, with a beginning, middle and end flavor to it. It went up another notch when the Garlic Naan was dipped in. Great job here, and worth the trip!

Maybe it is being mixed with Northern and Nepalese styles but everything we tried was good. The samosas were fresh hot and flavorful. The dal was seasoned well. They serve the dishes in metal bowls that keep them warm so our Kofta stayed warm and was creamy. The cheese masala dish was excellent. A lot of nice vegetarian options for us to share since my sister is strict veggie. Indian is a great route for us to find vegetarian meals and we were all raving about things one. There are many options for meat eaters. I saw one guy had a sizzling dish like fajitas and I was jealous! The garlic naan was very nice with the raita. I could go on and on. The service was friendly and quick. We tried a red wine from the Moravia region of Czech republic and were delighted. It was light and complimented our meal nicely. I am so glad we chose this restaurant. It has peaked my interest in more Indian cuisine! It is a gem outside the high tourist Areas but not too far away. Highly recommend!

A Spice-Scented Serenade in Prague!…read more Exploring the streets of Prague we were craving something different from the usual European fare. The reviews led me to this culinary treasure, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was, hands down, some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. And trust me, I've had my fair share of Indian food. Recently I was in London, a city renowned for its Indian scene. Indian By Nature surpasses even a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant I went to in London! The staff were warm and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of this lovely restaurant. If I ever find myself back in Prague, you can bet I'll be returning. And if you're living in or visiting Prague, do yourself a favor and give Indian By Nature a try. You won't regret it! (P.S.
