Usually service is pretty good here. However, recently had a range officer who thought he was the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket. Barked at me for a couple of things I did wrong. No problem. I appreciated his advice. Then he got angry and started shouting at me for shooting without looking through the scope . I misunderstood him because it was loud. He started really barking at me then. I got pissed, but not as pissed as he was. I went up to him later and calmly tried to explain that I just didn't understand what he was saying. I tried explaining that I had been here before and I saw people doing what I had done, which is why I thought it was acceptable. He actually said "I don't give two shits about what you saw before". He's the textbook definition of somebody who will eventually go postal. I'd look for another place to shoot. read more

Range USA corporate membership customer service rating: 0 Knoxville in-store staff rating: 4 I've been a frequent Knoxville customer and Elite range member for many years. Knoxville store staff range from average to excellent, and range facilities are above average, (review for them is at the bottom). Range USA membership customer service is TERRIBLE. I'll start here since this will impact your long-term experience with the Range USA company. As nice as the in-store folks are, I will not buy another firearm from them and will share this as a cautionary tale. As other reviewers have noted, if you decide (despite these warnings) to sign up for a membership, be very careful to verify and document everything you do including sign up, account changes, and cancellations. You cannot rely on Range USA customer service to do the right, or even reasonable, thing. Be prepared to present evidence to your credit card consumer protection service. When a CC# change caused a brief and unintended membership lapse, I signed back up at a lower tier but soon after wanted to upgrade back to Elite level. In-store folks told me (1) I couldn't pro-rate the upgrade, and (2) I would have to upgrade online. Unfortunately, I fumbled the upgrade by using a different email address, which created a completely separate, 2nd account despite having the same name, address, and phone number. And somehow the first account managed to get upgraded along the way. As a result, I was paying for two Elite memberships every month for a year before I realized my error. When I pointed out my mistake to online customer service and asked for them to refund the extra/duplicate payments, they refunded only 3 "as a courtesy." Since I'd made an honest, obvious, and traceable mistake, and since the mistake neither benefitted me or cost them, I asked if they would refund the remaining duplicate payments. But in a surprising show of indifference, they refused since it was my error. Imagine in-stores cameras showing you accidentally dropping several hundred dollars on their floor, and workers refusing to give it back to you because it was "your mistake" for dropping it. Ethically, this is the same thing, but this analogy went over their heads. After a few emails, they simply stopped responding. Converting the extra payments to membership credits would have been a perfectly acceptable alternative in my mind, but even this was not offered. Knoxville sales floor staff range from average to excellent. There are several knowledgeable folks including some with in-depth knowledge of aftermarket options for, and nuances of, specific firearms. In general, staff are eager to help (just don't ask them for membership help). Range uses fully manual deploy/return switches. Facilities are clean and in good repair. Rangemasters are generally helpful, friendly, and attentive. read more

The Good: The staff at the Knoxville store are knowledgeable and friendly. Selection is good with generally good prices, good value for the price. The Bad: I purchased a bundle package that included an AR-15, 2 mags, and a red dot sight, but the sight was out of stock and on backorder. The Ugly: The Sig Sauer red dot sight was cancelled due to no stock within 30 days. "It's policy" I'm told. So, they refunded my $85 for the sight and said I could order it again. A new Sig Sauer red dot sight costs $130 from Range USA!! No credit for the difference, no reduced price for a replacement, no sight for my "bundle package". I won't be their sucker, nor will I ever be a customer again. read more

Long review , SORRY! As far as the Knoxville location is concerned it is great. Knowledgeable staff, great price and facilities. As far as a company is concerned they don't deserve a star, I will prove to you they are pathetic. I paused my membership in Feb of 2025 and without me OR ANY STAFF MEMBERS knowledge they continued to charge a pause fee of $5.45 ( IT'S NOT THE MONEY I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT) After I saw this 6 months later I put a stop on my credit card and they tried to charge it every day after. I then called my credit card issuer and they said get a new card and I did but before I received the new card they started charging again. I went to the website (CHALLENGE ME ON THIS PLEASE) and tried to cancel the membership permanently BUT THAT CANNOT BE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!You have to start the membership again then delete the account , THEN OF COURSE THEY ARE GOING TO START CHARGING YOU AGAIN. Unfortunately I will have to find a new place to train but this company is low down!! read more

A clean, well maintained range, good selection and friendly staff. The prices are fair on firearms and ammunition. The price for transfers from other dealers make it pretty clear that they don't really want to play in that arena. Every time we go they totally ignore me ( I am a female). They only want to talk to my husband. Also I asked for a certain product, and they tried to sell me a different product! Local locations might be good but ordering anything other than a gun online is a joke, placed one order got an email 2 days later saying it shipped to store but didn't show up for another 5 days, then ordered again for my nephew a magpul grip and he decided he was just going to get one at store I went to cancel there is no way to cancel in my account so emailed support and they said as soon as I placed order its in process and cannot be canceled without paying a 25% restock fee but it was only 6 hrs since I had placed the order and it takes minimum 7-10 business per a customer service reps email so hard to understand how it takes 7-10 days other than sticking it to the customer. Company is a joke and no care for customers done doing business with them I will give my business to local shops. read more

Re: purchase of 5/25/2023 I believe the failure of RANGE USA to prominently display its return policy invalidates it. "All sales final for guns and ammo" appears only on the bottom of the sales receipt in fine print. No product is marked with such notification, nor any display case, nor are there any prominently displayed signs in the store. If you buy a defective product there, you are out of luck based on my experience until a successful legal challenge to its policy occurs.. I hope the manufacturer will address any additional problems I have with my new gun under warranty. On the very day of sale, this vendor refused to do so although all representatives were cordial except for one who seemed ambitious to be smug and insulting. Came to use the range, Throughly impressed! Bright, clean lanes. Large selection of targets, fairly priced range time. The temperature made it very comfortable to shoot. Usually it's like a sauna on the range. The store had a huge selection of firearms, ammo and accessories. Plenty of staff to help out. I do most of my business locally but I'll definitely be back here. They had several class rooms too. Looks like a one stop shop for all your shooting needs. My experience with shoot point blank was bad. I ordered a flashlight from them. then i was informed they would ship it when it was in stock. Then three days later they send me an email my order is ready to be picked up. it was suppose to have been shipped to me since I live in Florida and they are in Ohio. So, on the day I received that email I called them. inwas transferred to internet sales. it went to voice. I left one. dive business days later and I still have not received a call back. I also emailed them on the same day I called them. No response. I just tried calling them again. this time there was no answer. thank goodness I used my bank credit card. I called Range USA prior to transferring my gun to inquire about their gun transfer fees. When I called and spoke to an employee on the phone he said the transfer was $30 and if I signed up for their monthly range membership plan, there would be no charge for the transfer. I said great, that is a reasonable price and I had never been there before so I will plan on checking out the place when I pick up my gun. When I got there, the guy charges me $75! When I ask why it was so much, I was told it was $30 on the phone. He said I don't know who you talked to, but it is $75 plus $10 background check. He then mentioned that another Knoxville gun store that charges $30. Why would anyone pay 2.5 times the normal transfer fee, it's just a transfer, nothing special? $30+/- is the going rate, so why do you charge $75? No real answer there. At that point I had no choice, I was forced to pay the absorbent transfer fee as my gun was shipped there and I had no option to take it anywhere else. Shortly after I left, I called and spoke to the store manager "Tyler" and explained to him what had happened. He offered no resolution and could care less if I liked it or not. I will never set foot in that place again as they charge outrageous fees and don't give two flips about their customers or customer service.. read more

Nice place here in Knoxville. Really clean and well done shooting range. I will say that I had a hard time canceling my range membership. Please be aware that it is upon the member to get an online account as it is not a possibility to call corporate office and cancel (this cost me 3 more months membership fees as I had lung cancer surgery and couldn't make it there). I was a member for 6 months total but I called a number that i found online to one of the stores 3 mos in and a person tried to cancel it from have gotten and I didn't come back to the range at all until coming back to the store where I opened my membership. Just a hassle to not be able to close an account online or over the phone when the person represented Range USA as my account was a good and set up. Well, they sure didn't have any issues for them to debit my account. Hey at the end of the day Range USA has a nice environment to 2nd amendment people like us but when something goes wrong have someone in place that can at least make an attempt at saying something like sorry for your inconvenience. Three separate employees told me they honoured GSSF Pistol Purchase Program coupons, but when I went to the Knoxville location I was treated like some scammer and they refused honour it. I showed them the Glock website and that they showed up on the dealer list and they flatly refused. They were rude and condescending and they treated me in a very disrespectful manner. YMMV but they're not getting any of my money, and I will make sure every one of my range buddies know what happened. Seems like a lot of businesses that sell specialty items like Golf Clubs, Ski and Guns frequently assume that you are dumb. Too bad. Not only that many of them could care less what you need and instead try to sell you what has the biggest markup. Yes, there are shops that are truly honest but ya gotta be careful. I walked into SPB and got waited on pretty quick. I explained I wanted a simple, basic handgun for my wife and a less simple handgun for myself. She told me exactly what I needed. The total was around $1000. I guess I was supposed to shell out the cash right then. I did not. Then we talked about ammo. She said better get it soon as their is a huge price increase real soon. I walked out, then back in to ask when the price increase. She said, "this afternoon". I left to check on this price increase - none. read more

One of the first things you'll notice when you walk into this SPB is that the staff immediately make eye contact and welcome you. After a few visits, many of them know you by name and that is a special feeling. The facility is first class with several classrooms, a wide variety of retail space full of all shooting related items and lots and lots of firearms. The staff is also first class. A few of the names that come to mind are Terri, Marc, Dave, John, Jonathon, Sabrina, Tyler, Ryan, and Jared. I've worked with Terri and Marc to coordinate special events when friends of mine visit from out of town. The SPB staff couldn't be more accommodating and welcoming, and after shooting my friends always talk about how well organized the whole operation is. A good friend of mine wants her teenage son to learn firearm safety and marksmanship and I whole-heartedly recommended this location to her. She will be a future customer. read more

Was very pleased with our experience here! On Friday night, they offer a "date night" deal where you get two shooters for the price of one. All of the staff were professional, accommodating, and very helpful. The two staff (not sure on their names) who were in the range watching us shoot for safety were full of great shooting tips, and one of them even prevented an injury in myself! I was holding my gun wrong, and he corrected me before I shot. I would have cut my finger badly if he had not corrected me. The facility was very clean and SAFE!! Great experience. Had a membership here. I decided to cancel because I didn't use it enough. I canceled it a month before the next renewal. A month later I was charged. I called to ask about it and I was ensured it was canceled and I would receive a refund. However later that day I received an email form their IT Department letting me know they canceled my membership for me. The only problem was I cancelled a month before and they tried telling me that "their" system didn't show that I did cancel and they tried telling me I haven't logged into my account for 3 months (the day I started the membership). It's funny because each time I did log in after I canceled it showed my membership "inactive ". Also I had ammo in my cart from the sale they had going on along with the 5% off I was getting because I was still getting the membership pricing until the final day of the month when I membership ran out. The IT department did nothing but argue with me. This may just be an isolated incident with me, however, I will not be visiting this place or doing business with them again. read more

The store is well-staffed, clean, and friendly. It almost feels like a bestbuy for guns, complete with the upsell. Go into this with a set budget and you'll be fine. They have a fantastic inventory, and you can tell their staff is familiar with the merchandise. Gun rentals are also second to none in the area, with a huge variety of items available to try out. The range is the most securely-monitored in the area, but a bit too expensive and popular to make range day here. They do offer monthly membership if you intend on shooting here often, though. Beginner classes are a straight-up tupperware party intended to upsell private lessons. Perhaps the more advanced classes would have more to teach, but I would probably begin a gun adventure somewhere else. read more
