Flash forward and we just completed a pool and were looking to get our gate refurbished and upgraded to a self closing gate (per code) we contacted Pasadena Fence and talked to Dennis Everett on Tuesday of this week. Wednesday he came out, talked about what we needed, in length. He was not in a rush took the time to talk about our options, materials and construction. Thursday he called me back with a very fair price and we agreed on his estimate. He said his crew would be here on Friday and they were. Took their time, completed the job with professional results and we are happy beyond words at our experience. This is how a company should treat it's customers! We hired Top Notch Tree and Remodeling Services for a repipe and 2 bathroom remodels, and…read moreunfortunately our experience turned into a very stressful and expensive situation. During the repipe, multiple mistakes were made. One pipe was left improperly connected and burst, shooting water into our garage. Another cold water line for our master shower was never connected at all, even after the walls and floors had already been closed up. We later had to hire another plumber to cut back into our floors to correct the issue, along with paying for additional drywall repairs. He also remodeled our kids' bathroom, and within days we started noticing water stains leaking into our downstairs kitchen ceiling whenever anyone showered. Instead of taking accountability, he repeatedly blamed the issue on our AC drain line and insisted it needed to be rerouted. We had two separate AC companies inspect everything, and both confirmed there were no major AC issues other than a kinked hose that HE had installed himself, which caused a backup in the attic. I ended up replacing the hose myself. The actual source of the leaks was poor workmanship in the bathroom remodel. The shower handle was installed upside down, and the overflow drain plate was installed incorrectly, allowing water to pour directly into our kitchen ceiling during showers. What made the experience even more frustrating was the constant excuses, blame shifting, and gaslighting whenever mistakes were brought up. We were extremely patient and gracious throughout the process, even giving multiple opportunities to correct issues, but every concern was met with another excuse instead of accountability. We also believe his attitude toward us changed after we did not accept his $5,000 drywall repair estimate. He seemed to take it personally. We had only asked him to provide a quote for the drywall work, but he appeared to assume he already had the job. One day he showed up with sheets of drywall and started patching walls without ever even providing us with an estimate or getting approval to proceed. After he finally quoted us $5,000, we decided to get additional estimates and found another highly recommended contractor who quoted us around $2,000. The only difference was that painting was not included, and for a $3,000 price difference we were perfectly willing to handle the painting ourselves. While he was still in the middle of working on our master bathroom, he approached us saying he needed to "go over numbers." Even after knowing there would be a major price change coming, he continued working for two more days while we waited to sit down and discuss the updated pricing. When we finally had that conversation, we were informed the estimate had essentially doubled from the original amount. At that point he still expected payment for demo and partial work despite the growing list of plumbing mistakes, water damage, and repair costs we were already dealing with. The final straw was discovering continued leaks and water damage right as we were deciding to move forward with a different company. After the insults, excuses, mounting repair costs, and lack of accountability, we decided it was best to cut our losses and part ways. We are now left paying even more money for drywall repair, plumbing corrections, floor access repairs, and damage caused by work that should have been done correctly the first time. I strongly recommend getting multiple inspections and being very cautious before hiring this company.

I used Greenscapes Lawn and Landscape for two years…read more The first year, the lawn service did a great job. That is where it all ended. The second year was a disaster. I hired them for stonebed landscaping for my frontyard. Yes, like another review, I had to put 75% deposit down for the project, and it was not cheap by any means. Now stating that, as expensive as this project was (almost $4k), the stones are starting to deteriorate. This is based on normal Texas weather. (Per the owner, these stones come from Oklahoma) The stones are pure garbage. I hired them for winter weather prevention (over $300) for my front landscaping and backyard, including three medium-size trees. Let me state, the owners son handled this project, and he did a horrendous job. He is completely incompetent. My front landscaping died. The owners son broke several branches on my trees to the point where one tree was almost destroyed. The wrapping on one tree came completely off, and later that night, I was out there on a ladder trying to re-wrap it. Let me also state that when the owners son was down with his horrendous workmanship, he forced my backgate inward, against the grain of the hinges. I could literally put my entire arm between where he forced the backgate inward and the gate post. I had to kick the backgate 3 times extremely hard with my foot to open the backgate properly. HE'S AN IDIOT. What really infuriated me (and I am putting that politely) is I have three German Shepherds, so leaving the project without notifying the customer is unacceptable. I was beyond furious with the problems he caused with my backgate, forcing it inward. What if the owners son had broken the backgate forcing it inward against the hinges and the customer was not aware? What if my three German Shepherds had got out? OH, HELL HAVE NO FURY.... I should have fired them right then, but that is my mistake. The final straw was the next summers lawn crew, which were completely different guys and utterly useless. They would show up and stand out front for 5 minutes with their arms folded, shooting the BS instead of doing their jobs. I know this for a fact, as I caught them on my Ring Doorbell. I also have three German Shepherds who have no problem telling me when someone is on their property. I was also having other upgrades completed on my house, and the crew members would knock on my door and tell me; "did you know your lawn crew is just standing out front?" Oh, when I called and complained to the owner, he called me a liar. Yes, the owner called the customer a liar. That is professionalism at its best. Personally, I find the owner to be very arrogant and condescending. Recap: Stonebed landscaping deteriorating, winter weather prevention an absolute disaster, lazy and useless crews, incompetence by the owners son, and overall attitude by the owner unprofessional and unacceptable. Yes, I fired them. CUSTOMER BEWARE
