We were a pretty big group of seven, and it did take the servers a while to get all our drinks and food out to us. That said, the food itself was very good for being a Pan-Asian restaurant smack-dab in the middle of Germany. The larger main courses were more in the varietal Teishoku style, and their sushi rolls were as good as any you'd eat in the San Francisco Bay Area (which is to say ... pretty good!). The one thing that put a bit of a damper on the dinner for me was that I'd ordered a half-liter of beer, and asked once again if it was coming out as it had been a while. Well, two different servers returned with a half-liter each, so I had to gulp down a liter of beer in front of my friend's family which probably didn't look so good. :-P Other than that, Vinami was very good. I would come here again, only next time I'll be sure to ask ONE person for a beer and ask only them if it takes a while to come out.

Having said that, if breakfast was any indication of the food and service, I am sure that the Sushi is excellent! Breakfast was great, I generally ordered off the menu, the best breakfast I had were the Chili Eggs, man, so good, and not too spicy! Service was a bit slow at times, but friendly. They have inside seating as well as outside, the weather was beautiful during my stay so I ate outside every morning. While it was a Japanese restaurant at night, it took on a fiffent feel during the day. While I did not have Sushi here, some of the people I was working with did and said it was great! Next time I will try!

For a restaurant, having a working and responsive phone line is basic--and this is really not okay. It feels unprofessional and makes it hard for customers to even plan a visit. They were very accommodating and offered us a table upstairs; we assumed it was a rooftop area - wrong! It was a low ceiling loft area that was full of people and hot. Given the current state of Covid, we were uncomfortable in this setting; waiters wearing masks was hit or miss, some of them were better at covering mouth and nose than others. We ordered beers and food, and quickly asked if we could just get the food for takeaway instead of dining in. They said yes. We drank our beers and waited...and waited...and waited. At least one other couple came in after we did, were seated and served their dinner and were eating for probably 15 minutes before our order was ready. It wasn't a complicated order, a summer roll and some pad Thai. We took it back to our hotel and ate it, it was good. To sum up: Positives: accommodating staff, tasty food. Negatives: spotty Covid precautions, fully packed low ceiling hot upstairs, took forever to get our order.

It was early, around 5 PM, and they were just opening for dinner. I strolled the streets until I arrived, and walked in through the back, and straight into their beautiful courtyard. The courtyard was beautiful, several tables all set and ready for the dinner crowd. I walked toward the restaurant and saw the daily special board, but there were no staff, at least outside. I checked out the board and saw they had Pfefferlingcremesuppe, which is one of my favorite foods! A minute later, a woman walked out and greeted me. I told her I knew it was a Friday, but would there be a table for 2 available? She smiled and said I could come now or at 8:30- I chose 8:30 as 5 pm was a little too early to eat. I left and came back at 8:30, the place was buzzing, and the courtyard was packed! My dining partner couldn't make it, so it was just me. The same woman was there to greet me, she smiled when she saw me and brought me to a table in the middle of the courtyard. I was seated and given a menu. I ordered a cold beer and perused the menu. While there were many great things on the menu, I already knew what I wanted, so when she returned, I ordered the soup and the Schnitzel. The soup was delicious and a large serving, and when I finished, my Schnitzel arrived, with fried potatoes and bacon, and a nice salad.
