I can not recommend Rao Chiropractic strongly enough. As a 63-year-old "aging athlete" I have a lifetime of sports injuries and have used chiropractic care for over 35 years. I have had serious injuries to my neck, upper back, and lower back.  The X-rays are not pretty. Prior to seeing them, I had several extremely painful events where I could not sleep, walk without pain or pick up my small grandsons. I have been seeing Dr. Rao on and off for over 5 years now. I originally sought treatment because of limited mobility in my neck due to a car accident I was in about a year before. During my original treatment plan, Dr. Rao also worked on my arm. I suffer from nerve damage from an old softball injury. I am happy to report that I have found more relief through Dr. Rao's treatment than I have ever had with any physical therapy or pain medication. Over the years, I have also seen him for a knee injury and general aches and pains. I now see him on a monthly basis for maintenance. Dr. Rao is practicing solo while his wife is on maternity leave, but he seems to be holding down the fort pretty well. He's my 2nd positive experience with the medical profession in a row after a lifetime of disgust with medicine. He does outstanding work and has made me a believer in the need for Chiropractic care. I'm traveling from out of town and needed some adjustment. I was in the area and looked them up. They accommodated me immediately and Dr Rao was such a friendly and competent person. After having a very scary fainting spell proceeded by severe chest pain I went to the emergency room. After several hours, tests, and multiple indifferent staff encounters including the doc I was sent home with a piece of paper about people who commonly faint. I was 35 and had never fainted before in my life. I understand that not everything can be explained, but in my case it was pretty obvious. I had been doing a new workout that required lots of pull ups and yes this was mentioned repeatedly at the emergency room. I left knowing I hadn't had a heart attack or blood clot, but had new idea what caused it or if it would happen again. A friend recommended I see Dr. Rao and I made an appointment. When you walk in the office you see their mission statement painted on the wall. A constant reminder that they are going to do everything in their power to help you. After a detailed history and thorough interview about the episode Dr. Rao did an x-ray of my upper ribs and shoulders that revealed a dislocated rib. Most likely due to a ridiculous amount of pull ups by someone with a weak upper body. I was adjusted and felt instant relief in the tightness of my chest. I have changed my exercise routine and had no further incidents. I continue to see Dr. Rao on a monthly basis to relieve pinched nerves and sore muscles from my job and work out routines. What I like to call maintenance. They are compassionate people who believe in what they do. I recommend Dr Rao to anyone who is experiencing pain or unexplained symptoms. I would recommend Dr. Rao to anyone, especially pregnant women and parents looking for chiropractic care for their infants. Dr. Rao alleviated the extreme back pain I experienced in the early weeks of my pregnancy and helped me avoid and manage the pain throughout the remainder of the pregnancy. I am a new client of Dr. Rao's office and almost never write reviews. I just felt the need to share the positive experience I've had the few times I've been in. I suffer from migraines due to neck pain and misalignment. Dr Rao takes a very gentle approach, is very thorough in explaining everything he is doing and why, and also has great bedside manner- very personable and genuinely cares. Let me start by saying that I am 25 years old. When I was 14 I ruptured a disc in my back due to a sports injury. I had lower back surgery when I was 15 to correct it. Well, it was never really corrected with surgery, various injections, years of phyiscal therapy, and other chiropractors. Nothing worked, and I accepted at around age 20 that I would just be in pain for the rest of my life and to just deal with it. At the request of a close friend, I finally tried Dr. Rao, with reserve, because remeber I had been thru it all, and my mind frame was this could not be corrected. Dr. Rao on my intial consultiaon said he had see so many cases like mine. Failed back surgery I believe he called it. Well, at this time, I am about half way through my treatment plan with Dr. Rao, and I cannot explain how amazing it has been. After my first visit, the pain was reduced significantly. At this point, I am virtually pain free, which is something I never thought I could achieve. Dr. Rao, is the first and ONLY doctor who has actually helped and listen to my issue. I look forward to each and every appointment. Their office is comfy and clean, and their assistant Nina in the front office is always so helpful with a smile on her face.
