One evening I witnessed the owner driving down George Freeman with no headlights on, he did a u-turn and I was going to let him know his lights weren't on but before I could get it all out he told me to F off. Today one of his drivers passed me one the right, cut me off only to make a left in front me, so I did the same. Got if front and came to a stop, invited him to pull over and discuss further, he declined. All I've heard from others is unprofessional, dishonest and poor behaviour, shocking. Apparently they are also telling people that their company and Wheatland taxi are one and the same, this could not be further from the truth. I've used Wheatland Taxi and are my go to when I need a ride.

This happens even when the destination is a clinic or a hospital. This is frustrating particularly when you have an appointment and you want to be on time. At our hotel he took it out of the cab for us and made sure it was unfolded before he left. Somehow I managed to leave my wallet in the cab. In the middle of the night the hotel slipped a letter under my door stating that a cab driver dropped off my wallet at the front desk. Nothing in my wallet was disturbed. It is so nice to experience an honest man.

I had to call twice to make-sure that someone would still pick me up, first at 8:00 a.m. and then at 8:10. I even left them my number the night before just in case they wouldn't get to me on time. The van that picked me up was filthy too! There were tools all over the trunk space. Inside the cab itself next to the driver's seat, there was so much paper scattered on the floor. If I didn't ask for an explanation, the driver wouldn't even have stated the reason for his tardiness.

He then called his headquarters and informed them that the road was unsafe and he will have to return back to Red Deer. There was a small snow storm, but none of the hundreds of cars were turning back. After several phone calls, they informed us that they won't get us a replacement taxi. They actually suggested calling Associate Taxi instead. Great way to do business. Never rely on this company on any critical travel plans.

Nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary. Not all cab drivers were created equal. Before the new call system was put in place with all the cabs, I did find they would fail to show up at the least convenient times. But I haven't seen that happen for a while now.
