This appliance repair appointment that Electrolux Frigidaire scheduled was a complete joke. It's a waste of time and energy. They don't know what they are doing. Other not knowing how to do a full stop generic new oven issue of testing the temperature to be accurate with the reading, she kept telling me it was the food probe that tests the inside of a what is being baked. She tried to sell me a warranty and then attacked verbally when I said, I'm not interested in your extended warranty, I just want to check my oven temperature, which seems that is run low ie: when set at 375 seems to run 350 etc... Amazing service. My washing machine needed to be repaired and the manufacturer made an appt w/ Richards Appliance Repair. They were wonderful. Very good communication through the whole process. I called Richard over a year ago to fix a refrigerator for me and his communication, professionalism was outstanding! Richard was training his daughter which I thought was quite cool! Fast forward to last Friday and I called him again and his daughter Tracy came out to fix our dryer. Tracy was very polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Tracy was done in less than an hour and the pricing is always fair. Thank you for having such a great company! Our 3 y/o LG fridge died over Memorial Day weekend. Called Lowe's, said they would have xxxx come out in 7-10 days. I asked can't you do sooner, well we have another shop xx they can come out Fri. Thurs nite they called said can't come until 17th!! I called Lowes back told them, said they will try xxxx again. They said not until 10th. I called next day, again, got wonderful girl who said let me try RAR. He said i can be there Tue, this was Monday. He came with, with the compressor and drier needed to fix, knew what he was doing, explained things as he went along, was done in less than 3 hours, and it is working beautifully a week later. I am amazed to find someone honest and knows what he is doing!! Great service. read more

I've had Richard come out over the years for everything from washer, dryer, dishwasher, slide-in range, even built in microwave. He's extremely skilled and has done a great job every time, and repaired everything to perfection. He works with my extended warranty company and I'm so happy about that. One time the warranty company sent another repair tech and they were nowhere near as good as Richard (in fact, they had to come back on a recall for the same problem). After 13 years in this home, there's no one else I'd rather have taking care of my appliances than Richard. He's also a heck of a nice guy and keeps his appointments on time. We highly recommend him. My dryer went out and I called RAR to come out and fix it. Taylor came out the first 2 times but the parts that were put on kept failing. She was very professional and patient. Richard came out the third and forth time. He was very rude and told me the problem was that I was overloading the machine. I assured him that was not the case and that something was wrong with parts they were using and he said that was impossible. He was just shy of yelling at me and talked to me like was an idiot. In his defense, Samsung had a hard time finding out what was the right part to use and I understand his frustration, however, he had no right to speak to me in the manner he did. read more

Terrible service. I bought a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes that never worked right. Lowes made an appt with Richard's Appliance Repair to fix it. They called me on a Thursday (I think) and confirmed the appt for between 12 and 3 PM.... ok. I wasnt here but they left a message. They called back the next day to confirm and again left a message. Today they called this morning and because I was outside and didnt answer the phone they cancelled the appt. I called them and the said too bad they werent coming out. I was here the whole time. Soooo because I wasnt sitting next to my phone for 5 days before the appt they cancelled. He was VERY snotty to me on the phone and hung up after telling me to call someone else. Lowes should consider replacing them for appliance repair. I guess now I will have to pay someone when it should be under warranty. read more

Richard came to service our Whirlpool fridge today. He was upset that we had already had another company come to service it, and was trying to blame us for it not working because we hadn't used him first. He had to call Whirlpool for instructions, and ended up yelling at the Whirlpool tech for about 10 minutes regarding the other company's repairman. The tech kept his patience and cool as long as he could, even saying "Sir, this is the tech line, not the complaint department...can I please give you the instructions to fix this fridge." (phone was on speaker so we heard everything). Richard was so irate that the tech said he was going to report him and would use the recorded conversation as evidence. I approached Richard and asked him to please just repair the fridge because that's what he was there to do, but he was so angry that my husband ended up having to ask him to leave because we felt uncomfortable with him being in the house. I have no idea what was wrong with this man, but the complete lack of professionalism and customer service were appalling and if he had given my husband any trouble, we would not have hesitated to call the police. read more

I needed a warranty repair on an LG washing machine. I had never used this company in the past, but I certainly will in the future. They called the day before to confirm the appointment time, arrived on time, explained exactly what he would be doing, performed the repair/upgrade quickly, and cleaned up after he left. He was very good in customer relations by calling the night before confirming my appointment and calling shortly before arriving. He quickly diagnosed the problem of the broken microwave and explained it to me. Then quickly fixed it, whereas a competitor in appliance repair had no clue after two visits.
