After having blood work months ago and never being able to get the results from this doctor, he made a follow up call last week because he didn't feel well and wanted to come in. My father is nearly 80 and this doctor totally ignored him. As a result, he had to call 911 this past Monday and go to the hospital to determine what is wrong. Turns out he has some internal bleeding and, had he continued to wait for this IDIOT to call him back, would probably have died in his house. Oh, and now the doctor refuses to authorize the ambulance service since THEY did not make the call. Gee, since he can't return a simple phone call asking about blood work, who would trust them to call an ambulance during an emergency? By far, the worst doctor I have ever come across. We will be filing complaints to any board or organization who will listen. This guy has no business pretending to be a doctor - he is sure to kill someone with his negligence and total lack of concern.

In fact when I requested the referral it was shared that I'm making my annual wellness appointments. I've attempted to rectify this with the billing department who assured me the office manager would get back to me. That was over two weeks Safe to say this practice does not value their patients. Before the appointment I was inundated with 'confirm appointment' texts on a daily basis to my phone (and to my email as well). I'm not sure how many times is necessary to have to confirm an appointment, but doing it every day is ridiculous. Then afterwards was another experience. I had a blood test done in the office and the person there said it would be done by LabCorp. After the results came back, they provided a terse report on their online portal but it was unprintable. When I asked for the report so I could print it their response for me was to schedule another appointment. I don't see why I have to schedule a second appointment just to get my lab report. I paid for the report so I would think if they offer it online via a portal, i should just be able to get the report in hand. Moreover I worked with LabCorp directly because my report never showed up in my labcorp account. It was weeks later when I discovered the blood test wasn't done with LabCorp. They lied to me in the office. I actually prefer Quest Diagnostics over LabCorp but was willing to settle for LabCorp since that is what they said my blood test was going through that company. At the end I had to contact my insurance company and force a representative to have the doctor office provide me with a printable blood report. I eventually received it but what they did was scan the report (printout) and upload it to my portal as a letter called 'letter.pdf'. Which made me realize this doctors office/company is just in it for the money. After all this I keep getting texts written in such a way that look like i have made an appointment with them. here is the text of a message I received this last wednesday: Hi name, This is First Medical Associates! Don't forget to book your follow-up: History for December, 12. and then they give me a link to schedule it. That date changes with each message I receive, and if one isn't paying attention, they will end up scheduling their next appointment whether or not they really wanted to. If you fail to show up for an appointment you will get billed. I'm not impressed and probably won't go back again. Additionally: my wife saw them in this same office and was billed for her appointment and the annual physical. However the physical was added on by the worker there. She didn't actually get her physical nor standard blood test. We complained to the insurance company because she was forced to waste her annual physical without actually having it done. The above basically tells you they are in it more for the money and less for patient care Additional data point. about 6 months after the covid lockdown I saw their columbia office for covid tests and was told after the first test came back that I had covid. I had to go through a whole protocol which forced me to stay at home (missing work) and then wear a mask at work for a week following. However about 24 hours later the office called me to tell me it was a false positive. I didn't have covid at all. However my company said I still had to follow the covid protocol. That was not a happy experience.

I arrived at 11:52 am for my noon appointment and I am still sitting in the exam room at 2:00 PM waiting to see the doctor. At no time did anyone come into the exam room to apologize or explain Dr Takem has been held up by a difficult case. If this wasn't for an urgent medical issue, I would have walked out. Update: I decided to leave around 2:10 PM. I went to the front desk to reschedule for an early morning appointment so that I will be sure to be seen at a reasonable time. Today is June 7 and their next available is not until the end of July. I stated before this is an urgent health matter so I had no other choice but to turn around and come back to the exam room to wait. I have been coming to the Bowie Office Probably Over 10 years! I have to admit, there are times when I have had to hold for 10 minutes but I have never experience the rudeness or disrespect. What I have experienced is calling my doctor at the beginning of Covid19 because I was very sick. However because I did not have a high temp (my norm runs about 95, I was at 100 for me, it was high.) I was not considered a priority at the ER! I called my Dr. at MPC in Bowie, who told me to come to the back door, took my temp, took the nose swab and sent me back to the ER with a note! I was told, don't read-it, give it straight to check-in. I don't know what it said but I was finally tested and had Covid. I know, when I was a new patient and saw my Dr. I was given labs early afternoon which included blood work. My doctor, read my labs and left a message that I needed to come back to the office and she would wait for me. I got the message after 7pm but went by. I was pre-diabetic and she wanted me to have medication on the cruise. See she remembered a previous conversations about me trying new deserts when I cruise. I can call my Dr., send messages for my mom, dad or myself and get answers or appointments. BTW - she/they treat my parents and my husband. There have been changes with the staff but I have no doubt, it will be corrected. They take great care of us.

Dr. Bolling, please find professional staff that is customer friendly, sympathetic, caring, trustworthy and most importantly can handle the workload. If not, you probably won't have any patients soon, because nobody is willing to put up with your staff.
