I had a great experience with Dr. Rashti, and I highly recommend him as an OB. When I was pregnant with my first, I was seeing a different OB and she was fine but she was constantly overbooked, I never got to have any say in the day or time since she always had zero openings, the appointments were approximately 3-5 minutes long, she didn't remember me or my name at all even when I'd been seeing her for many months. I didn't like that experience and actually met Dr. Rashti in the hospital while I was in labor for that pregnancy. I really loved his presence and personality, so when I got pregnant with my second I immediately knew I wanted Dr. Rashti to be my OB. I called his office and was able to get an appointment quickly and on a day and time that worked with my schedule, the appointments were longer and I was actually able to get questions answered, talk about what to expect, talk about our lives, and he really got to know us. We ended up with a C-section and he did such an amazing job. I haven't had any issues with pain at all, and the scar is virtually non-existent. He checked in with us multiple times afterwards to make sure healing was going well. Overall it was a great experience, worth every penny. read more

Made an ob appointment a month ago for first time pregnancy. They called the same day of my appointment 2 hours in advance to cancel the appointment after waiting the 4 weeks. Not giving time to find someone else. They told me they are full with cencal patients. after already being seen once. They should of told me when I made my initial appointment. So I didn't lose important time waiting to be seen by someone else. Additional items of note: They make you pay additional $1500 for their own book keeping services on top of your insurance or they wont make a appointment for you. (Those service include making appointments, answering their phone, fax and handing the patient a nutritional pamphlet.) They don't clean their office. And their staff are rude. They tell you that if you have a appointment expect to wait 3 additional hours to be seen because the doctor can't keep to their own schedule. This office is; Unprofessional and unreliable. IT WILL BE A MISTAKE TO BOOK . AND A WASTE OF YOUR TIME. especially if you have other options to choose a different obgyn when your insurance allows, than I advice you to choose elsewhere. read more

He communicated with me clearly, made himself available, and worked with the staff at the hospital to see me. I had an amazing experience with my first pregnancy and a big part of that has to do with the care Dr. Rashti provided to us. He is kind, funny, gentle, and very understanding. I always left the office feeling like my needs were met and my concerns were addressed. Being a bigger woman a lot of doctors tend to blame every ache and pain on your weight, but I never got that sense with Dr. Rashti. He never brushed off even the smallest concern and always took the time to go over every step and procedure with me, making sure I knew exactly what was going to happen ahead of time. I even had a minor scare at 4am about a week postpartum and was able to call his after hours line and speak with him. It ended up being completely normal and I'm so thankful he answered the phone and talked me through it at that hour! I'm two weeks postpartum now and wish I could have him as my PCP! Yes, most visits we did have to wait for an hour or two but honestly it's worth it knowing he will spend actual time with you in the room instead of just making you feel like a number. I've also gotten texts from his office if they know he is running behind due to circumstances at the hospital or other issues, and I feel like that's pretty above and beyond considering they go out of their way to avoid you having to wait in the office. All in all I can't recommend him enough and he made my first pregnancy and birth experience so much less stressful than I had expected. read more

This was my second attempt to have Dr Rashti as my OBGYN. The first was 5 years Aho during my first pregnancy after hearing many positive things about him. I was nervous about the whole pregnancy and I thought I would give him a try. Unfortunately by week 6 I developed hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and ended up in the hospital 3 times in one week. Each time the doctors would try to contact Dr. Rashti so that he could see me sooner and to prescribe me medication, but he never returned their calls or mine. On my third visit to the emergency room, the doctor suggested I switch OBGYN and recommended Dr. Drake who ended up being amazing and so responsive. Now fast forward to my third pregnancy and with my previous OBGYN not practicing anymore Dr. Rashti came recommended so I decided to give him another chance. I was initially informed that he is now a concierge doctor and is requiring a $2,000 membership fee, out of pocket. I was initially fine with this since my toddlers have a concierge pediatrician and we love the personalized care and quick appointment. However, my experience with Dr. Rashti's office was far from what I expected. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find the front desk staff sitting behind a closed window, with no visibility or acknowledgment of any patients presence. After several minutes, they finally opened the window to check me in for my noon appointment. I completed my paperwork and had to knock on the window again to hand it back, only for them to quickly shut it once more. I then sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes, with no updates or communication, no other patients came or went during the last 30 minutes of my wait so I finally knocked on the window to ask what was going on, I was met with blank stares and was told he would see me shortly. I asked if they had a timeframe only to be met with a condescending response as if my question was unreasonable. This office is unprofessional, impersonal, and clearly doesn't respect patients' time. My experience with other concierge doctors has been the complete opposite. Dr. Rashti and his staff need to improve significantly if they want to provide the level of care expected in a concierge practice. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Rashti. His communication is poor, and his office staff is dismissive and unempathetic. read more

DO NOT go to this "Doctor" After losing my first baby he made really unnecessary/uncomfortable comments saying "your too young anyways, from a dads perspective you shouldn't even have kids right now " and said he wanted to put me on a 5 year birth control which was really inappropriate to say, No sympathy whatsoever when clearly me and my partner were trying for a baby and after losing 2 more pregnancies and still under his "care" I kept getting comments on why I shouldn't have kids blah blah blah and then would ask what kind of job I do anyways, basically trying to say without really saying if I'm even stable enough to even have a child. So I finally drew the line and found a new Dr and he has been the best! So Ladies please save your time with dr rashti!! On top of that your in the office waiting for HOURS! How nice to be heard, to have your issues addressed and taken seriously, tests ordered and to be asked at the end of the visit, "Have I answered all your questions and addressed your concerns?" It really shows how much you care about your feedback, Dr Rashti, when you take seven months to read it. Your response is not a good look and you are being dangerous and negligent in your "advice" that is ill-informed and outdated. Your patronizing tone is not appreciated; just because I am younger than you doesn't mean I'm an idiot. Laughing and telling someone who has dealt with disordered eating for two decades to restrict more is literally life threatening and medically negligent advice. Using air quotes to suggest that eating disorders aren't real is shocking, to be completely honest. How can someone with a medical degree who claims to care about women's health seem to not believe in the validity of eating disorders when they affect such a large majority of the female population?? You are part of a massive problem in the way that women, and people in general, are cared for in the western medical system. You pushed birth control on me when I told you I didn't want it, you made me feel like I caused my PCOS when I have read study after study after study that confirms you cannot give yourself PCOS with your dietary choices. If you truly believe that diet causes PCOS, I encourage you to go back to school because you are practicing based on false information, which is harmful. Thank you for the horrendous experience at your office. You inspired me to become a certified health coach and change the way that people receive care in this broken, outdated system. I truly hope you take the time to work on your mindfulness and be less rude, insulting, and reactive to honest feedback in the future. By the way, my blood work is now perfect, I have zero PCOS symptoms and I haven't lost a single pound :) Good luck to you in your practice in the future. I've been meaning to update this review but just haven't had time. Maybe it's time / experience / maturity but a lot has changed since I last was there. The office staff has improved tremendously. They have been on point, respond in a timely manner and upped their bedside manner. The last few visits I've had have been prompt and pleasant - even with the chaos that is COVID19 - they've been super chill. Dr. Rashti is still great. Literally can talk to him like a regular person. He breaks everything down and quells any fears / anxiety. It's incredible when you're talking to someone who can be real with you and you can be real with them. read more

Dr. Zaki @ Rashti Women's Care has been great for me. I've been dealing with some tough challenges medically and Dr. Zaki's bedside manner and his calming and caring spirit is the only way I'm getting through it. He listens to me (definitely a change from other doctors) and answers my questions. He's patient with me when I'm nervous. I had an outpatient surgery about 3 weeks ago and he put me at ease throughout the entire process. I have a long road ahead (medically) and he has helped to develop a plan. I couldn't recommend him more - at 44 years old, I've had my fair share of doctors and Dr. Zaki is at the top for my OBGYN experiences. The front staff is always kind - not sure if its a "good" or "bad" thing when the staff remembers your name, but at least I feel welcomed. :) Maria and Lorena have always been so kind as well. I know I can be a "handful", but they never treat me like an inconvenience. I saw dr zaki back in september. i got in there and was not only shamed for my results, but got a weird talking to about my tattoos? as if i care that he thinks i'm not going to be happy about them when i'm older? very very weird. then he quite literally slut shamed me during my pap smear. afterwards, i got a fat bill from quest. my insurance says i'm 100% covered. i called them immediately after calling my insurance and told them what my insurance needs to cover the appointment. they said they'd take care of it. 2 months later i get a second notice from quest. i call again. they said they'd take care of it. the other day i got a third past due notice from this bill. i call again. they said they'd call me back by the end of the day. never got a call. i continue to call back daily now to try to get this figured out. this is the worst practice i have ever been to and would not recommend to anyone. you'd be better off not going here. it is now february and i still have a past due bill from september and i was insulted by the doctor. I would give them 0 stars if I could. My first appointment I waited 2 hours to be seen. I left 6 messages before someone called me to schedule a follow up appt. Then that appt got canceled 4 times. I'm sitting here waiting to be seen...again my wait is two hours past my appointment time. On top of that, they notified me that there will be a $500 "admin fee" to remain a patient here beyond the copay we already pay! I'll be looking for a new doctor. read more

Just had a "not so enjoyable" experience at this office. Dr. Rashti is always at least an hour late, my appointments are always rescheduled and when I showed up to my appointment today the front desk said Dr. wasn't in and that they tried to call me to tell me and repeated my number back but repeated it wrong on purpose so they could prove they tried. I never got a call from them to inform me he would not be in. The weird thing is they called me yesterday to remind me about my appointment and they had my number right! Funny how that happens. I told the front desk that and she got flustered. This just isn't good business etiquette. At this point I just asked for my medical records and said I think I'm going to find a new Dr. anyways and she reached for a medical release form. I told her you're losing a patient and this is all I get? She never apologized and shrugged her shoulders. I walked away so confused. Dr. Rashti is a truly phenomenal doctor in every sense of the word. I don't think 5 stars is even enough... honestly. His personality and sense of humor are incredible which made visits so relaxed and low-key. From the first time I met Dr. Rashti I felt 100% comfortable and at ease... also like I could be completely honest with him, which is important. Like many pregnancies, I had some ups and downs and Dr. Rashti was there every step of the way. He was serious when he needed to be... and lightened the mood when it was so appreciated. Every time I saw him at the hospital it was an instant sense of relief because I trusted him completely. I was very disappointed and actually disgusted when I went to my annual appointment with Dr. Rashti and was told in order to continue seeing him as my Gynecologist I would have to pay $350 a year. I only go there once a year and my insurance benefits cover 100% of my annual exam, any labs requested, and a pelvic ultrasound all without prior authorization. Why would Dr. Rashti need an additional &350 from me for these services when my insurance is covering them? It is an unethical billing practice. I work in medical billing and have done my homework on this. They call it an administration fee for concierge services. One of the services is mental health counseling or referral. What?! He is a Gynecologist not a licensed therapist. I do not want or need mental health counseling or dietary and nutritional counseling from my Gynecologist. I have that benefit as well through my insurance and see people that are qualified to provide those services. This billing practice is ridiculous. I cannot afford to be be charged my insurance premium, my copay, and then on top of that $350 for some BS services. I do not like writing negative reviews for businesses but this is absolutely absurd, unethical, and disgusting to do to your patients as a Doctor read more

It seems a little weird to write a review of your OBGYN, but Melissa Drake was so amazing I wanted to tell the world. She inserted my copper IUD a little over a year ago and it was the best experience possible. I previously had a hormonal IUD that was expiring, so I decided I wanted to give the non-hormonal version a try. Whereas most doctors tried to disuade me from this because of the potential side effects (and some even refuse to insert it into younger women who haven't had a child), she really listened to my desires and made it happen. She even somehow managed to make a very scary process light-hearted and fun, and it was somehow less painful than my previous (smaller) IUD insertion, which leads me to believe she is really good at her job. I can't recommend her highly enough for women of any life stage who want a brilliant, spunky, feminist doctor as the one between your legs. P.S. my Paraguard and I have been very happy together, and an annual checkup recently confirmed that it is still perfectly in place. :) read more

Dr. Rashti is very friendly and personable- just what any gal wants in a male OB-GYN!!! I had seen Dr. Rashti 3 years ago and thought he was the very best! I went back to his practice a little over a month ago. Unfortunately, I was unable to see him and I they put me with a Dr. Zakki, who works w/Dr. Rashti at his practice. Dr. Zakki comes in once a week.If there is an emergency Dr. Rashti will not see you. My first exam with Dr. Rashti there was NOT a female present! On my third visit to Dr. Zakki he said that was not true, yet I remember better then he does. When he did a biopsy on me he was not clear to mw exactly what the biopsy was for. I was under the impression by Dr. Zaki it was something completely different. Dr. Zakki put me on hormones and did not go over the medications I am currently taking, and I had a horrible side effect, where I had to stop taking the hormones that day. The Doctor has not called me, nor has Dr. Rashti bothered to call me, considering it his practice. read more

Dr. Drake is very professional and warm - I had an annual exam and she gave me all of the most up to date information and performed the pap quickly & with ease. I started going to Dr, Rashti over a year ago, and from the first time I felt very comfortable with him. I was going through some personal stuff and he listened to me. Three weeks ago I had a Hysterectomy and Dr Rashti was fantastic. He is very caring and professional. I had a complication, but he took great care of me and did an excellent job fixing it. Now, after an infection, I am recovering well. Everything is healing and soon I will be back to normal. I would definitely recommend him. Actually I already have done so. Being a first time mom is stressful enough with trying to prepare for the new bundle of joy and Dr Rashti was always willing to answer those new mom questions that I am sure he has heard a thousand times. He made my labor a dream which not many new moms can say they have had. When we found out his equally as stellar wife was a pediatrician we jumped at getting our daughter as one of her patients. I was referred to Dr Rashti from a friend after having a not great experience with another Dr in SB with my first pregnancy. I will forever be grateful for her referral. Dr Rashti made my second and third pregnancies amazing and calm experiences. While being a type 1 diabetic I am considered "high risk," Dr Rashti and his staff helped me through every step of the way. I remember when I left his office the first time meeting him I felt heard and understood for the first time! I felt so relieved that I knew I was in good hands. My husband even looked at me and said, "why didn't we use this guy THE FIRST TIME!?"He sat with me and answered so many questions and concerns as my last Dr had made me feel not important and always having more question leaving her office then when I got there. Rashti is an amazing surgeon and all around great guy. He is always smiling and looks you in the eye and makes you comfortable and reassured.
