When I went to see Dr. Crystal, she was and still is, able to help guide me to figuring out what is causing the nerve and neck pain. She is upfront and tells you what the game plan is. She found out that I had three herniated discs and some stenosis. I would have never known that without Dr. Crystal suggesting x-rays and an MRI. I only know the basic body parts. When we got my x-rays, she sat down next to me, pulled up her laptop and went over everything that was on the x-ray in a way that I could understand. The staff is small. They are excellent. They greet you as soon as you walk in. They do not make you feel as if you are an inconvenience like so many other receptionists do. They make conversation. Everyone on staff helps one another out. I'm am going to miss and be sad when I'm healed. Jk ... But will miss them.

I also absolutely love that they also give massage afterwards! I think I'll become a weekly patient simply for preventative care although my initial visit was for anything but - I went there after having been sick with a bad cough that really hurt my ribs and possibly dislocated one out of place! It was preventing me from taking a full breath and was totally terrible! The doctor gave me an adjustment and I felt it immediately pop back into place so I could again breathe! So grateful! On one visit, I was one of three clients the PT was working with; waiting after each exercise made for a wasted visit. Only on my initial consultation was I the lone patient; the PT was always working with two of us. After that first visit, I returned & was provided a different PT. Due to the original PT entering my injury incorrectly, this second PT began working on the wrong side of my body. That wasn't a good sign:) This is not a large or fancy facility, and it's rather drab & dark with regard to aestetics & lighting-- just not a cheerful atmosphere. In all my weeks at Cora, my physical condition did not improve. After I had used up all of my authorizations & the doctor then phoned Cora w/ an authorization for additional treatment, no one from Cora phoned to set up appointments w/ me. That was a sign; it's when I decided to switch to Select PT. (It was the best decision I could have made.) Cora's PTs could not figure out a good way to treat me, they overbooked patients, the friendliness of the PTs PALED in comparison to Select's, Cora's PT's appeared to lack the knowledge of the body in order to find the right exercises, & they had just one office staff member on duty to handle appointments, questions, etc. I won't return, especially after seeing how a well run PT organization operates. I am almost through with PT & almost whole again. With Cora, I had relief after each visit for no more than ten minutes; the PTs simply did not know how the body operates to be able to compose an exercise array that strengthened and healed. At Select, only two exercises are the same that I was told to do at Cora-- and I have seen INCREDIBLE physical improvement in a short span of time. I am rather unimpressed with Cora after experiencing Select PT (& numerous others over my lifespan). Additionally, the logistics are a bear-- getting into the Cora parking lot was very difficult due to the office's location at the extremely busy corner of Bearss & BB Downs. It was not a cake walk to enter the lot at high traffic times; the lot cannot be accessed from BB Downs unless you are heading south. And leaving the lot meant you had to drive south, regardless if you wanted to head north or another direction. I wasted way too much time entering & exiting this poorly placed business & wondered when I'd be involved in a car accident.

When I first went to OPPT, I could not play my instrument for 5 minutes without pain in my left arm and elbow. My therapist told me this would not be a quick fix, and she was right. However, several months later, I can now play for two hours a day or more without pain or discomfort, so I am more than satisfied with this outcome. I worked mostly with Emily and occasionally with Paul, but really, from what I could see, all the therapists there were experienced and competent. But what impressed me the most (besides the skill of the staff) was what I guess what you would call the ambience of the place. Everyone was so positive and upbeat, people were talking to each other, the atmosphere was so pleasant. i actually looked forward to going there every week.

So last year, when I suddenly developed Plantar Fasciitis and it caused me to exit a running race that I had been training rigorously for, I wanted care and treatment fast! I called Healthy Feet Podiatry immediately and they were able to see me right away. When I arrived they were on schedule, and in my subsequent visits they were always on time. This is so important as it shows a respect for the patient and their time. When Dr. Krawetz arrived in the room, I was greeted very warmly and he asked many questions about my symptoms and the way my foot had been feeling. He was very thorough, taking X-rays and examining my feet. Dr. Krawetz has a great sense of humor and although I received shots to alleviate my pain and help my injury, he was able to make it as comfortable as possible by telling stories and interjecting humor.
