The kitchen is not fast, so just know that good stuff must be happening back there. Maybe a tiny bit more pricey than the rest of the Swabian options in town, but not significantly so. The inside dining rooms have wood panel everywhere, they are cosy in feel, and the ceiling is low. In the summer, the rear patio is opened for seating. A small variety of German beer is on tap. They are the only kalb (veal) Wiener schnitzel purveyor in town. And we all know kalb is the only way to really eat Wiener schnitzel. Those pork ones are only imitations. Judging by the way it tastes, I'm betting that Ente is true to the way it is supposed to be cooked too, which is baked in clarified butter and not deep fried. Their steaks are always cooked to perfection. Their spätzle (Swabian short wavy egg noodles) is always hot and the gravey too and often accompanies their proteins. The Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) is one of the best I've seen. And I have ate a ton. Generous lumps of ground veal and spinach leaf fill these dumplings. The skins are pan fried with enough heat to make a Dim Sum chef proud, but they're only lightly crunchy in various places. This would always be a good spot to bring a significant other.

The sweet savory flavors came together amazingly! Their house salad is made of the freshest greens and is a must have. A bonus was the servers are very friendly too!

Was treated to this restaurant when I was in Germany with my sister. We had a party of 5 and were…read moreseated right away- no wait at all. The menu had so many different items on it- all German food of course which was interesting because although I am Half German I never really ate the food. I ended up getting the fried schnitzel since I always wanted to try it, a salad and an orange and cola soda. They were known for the soda that was an orange and cola mixed together soda- it was interesting for sure. My sister seemed to enjoy it more than me- guess I was used to our Coca Cola instead. As far as the salad- for some reason in Germany they put Cole slaw mixed in with regular salad- interesting for sure, but tasty cause I love Cole slaw. The fried schnitzel was okay- I ate it but probably would never eat it again cause it definitely wasn't what I was used to eating. All the foods were so foreign to me. The best thing about the meal was the dessert. Me and my sister ended up sharing dessert and it was a fried pastry with apples and cinnamon. It was so yummy. I prob wouldn't be back to Germany for some time- but if I ever return, I'd give this place another try.

The second time we sat outside and had a wonderful meal. My wife ordered a cheese spatzle and got a salad with it and she shared it with our middle son who also enjoyed it. I got the Berner Lendchen, which is a pork filet wrapped in ham and topped with cheese. It came with a dark sauce and croquettes. This Swabian meal was fantastic! We were too stuffed for dessert. The third time we tried to eat here they were only doing reservations. That was kind of a bummer, but it offered us a chance to try a different place to eat. I might have docked them a star had the meal we did get to try not been amazing. Lastly, we didn't see a allergen menu which unfortunately for us we need since two of our three boys have food allergies.
