    Check-Out stands

We stumbled upon Raunaq Bazar while visiting Lathrop. It is very authentic Panjabi Store that carries the largest variety of items - groceries, brass and steel utensils, fresh produce, worship items, Indian style beds, even bikes! . Plus ready to eat food (Chaats, Gole Gappe and more). Preet, the Manager personally came and asked if she could help. Check-out staff was friendly, smiling and very helpful. One of the owners also came and thanked us for shopping. Wow! Keep up the extremely friendly Panjabi spirit! We will visit this wonderful store again.

    Food truck outside Raunak Bazaar

Ate at the food truck at this huge grocery store. There was a little confusion with the order. The food truck guys went way beyond to make sure kids were happy. They threw so much extra food, gave us fresh hot tea. If someone ones to enjoy good hot Indian street food, this truck is the way to go. They guys in truck never frowned, and we're ready to go to next step just to make customers happy. We are going happy, and I am sure you would be happy too. Please do visit if you are in the neighborhood. And do try out this food truck. Must try!

New Indian Supermarket in Manteca Manteca has a great new Indian supermarket Raunak Bazar! This is by the 99 just south of 120 (you can't miss it from the 99). I visited it last week, and they just opened up the week before. This is the largest Indian grocery store in Manteca and I think is a great addition to our city. They are doing construction work so more stuff is coming soon. Now I know where to go for 25 pounds of red onions for only $10.99! They even have free snacks and chai tea! Raunak Bazar 2151 Moffat Blvd, Manteca, CA 95337 They are open everyday from: 9AM-10PM

I tried the Goat Curry today, it was good but too spicy and gravy was too thick for my taste.

I loved that it wasn't crowded here, but I hope more customers come and keep them in business. I bought my favorite Crunchy Garlic in Chili Oil (kind of expensive here, but I've been craving it), frozen Korean Corn Dogs with mozzarella and Fish Sausage, Plant-based Bulgogi Kimbap, and lots of fresh produce. I accidentally chose plant-based kimbap, and it fooled me and my son! Thought it was real, thin slices of beef - I'm impressed! There's a bakery coming soon, next to Coco Dak (serving Korean fried chicken) in the back. Will come back to support them and stock up on "diverse delights"!

They have so many different type of groceries- korean, vietnamese, laos, filipino, mexican, middle eastern. The produce looks super fresh, and the deli has a lot of stuff too. Everything is very organized. They even had so many cool korean beers- I had to try the yuzu and kimchi flavor. I found some pretty cool stuff here! There is even a fried chicken restaurant inside as well.

Cocos Food International Market - Super clean place. Lots of variety. Going to have lots of inventory soon in mid January. This will replace SF market for me for sure.

I've been on the halal food kick for a few years now. I've been to a few spots but after having some of the best I've ever tried in NYC, I had been chasing that same level of food ever since. To be honest I'm not sure what people actually call this food, like is it technically middle eastern food or what. I'm not sure. Ever since I had first started eating it, it was introduced to me as halal food. Then is the Greek/Mediterranean version of it still considered/prepared halal? All of this to say I don't necessarily know what good halal food really is but I can tell you about my experience. Food: What I can say is that I have never had a bad food experience here. I've had their chicken shawarma, the gyros and most recently the fries. The chicken shawarma is flavorful yet not overpowering. I don't know how to describe the flavors because I'm not too familiar with their food type. What I really like is that they get a nice char and crisp from cooking it on the flat top. As for the gyro it's rich and flavorful as well. I'd like if they got a little crisp and char on it like their chicken but with the tenderness you get from it it's hard to complain. I also really enjoy their hummus. It's pretty basic but good. I like that it comes as part of their plates but you can also get a side order of it as well. To prep my lunches for the week I'd often buy some hummus and their raw chicken shawarma. That's how much I enjoy their food. Recently I ordered their chicken shawarma fries and those were on point as well. Crispy fries on top of some chopped veggies with that all topped with a generous portion of chicken shawarma. General: They share the location with my favorite coffee shop in the area (House of Mokha). Habibi's is the market up in the front half of the building with a butcher counter and also serves the halal food that appears made or order. Aside from their food, I enjoy the variety of (middle eastern?) drinks and sodas.
