For starters when you get there you have to walk up a flight of very utilitarian stairs before you see anything to write home about but once you go into their enormous hall of mountains of fabrics in edible colours, I warn you, you'll be like a little kid in Santas Grotto. It is just sooo incredibly huge, there are fabrics and yarns and notions I had never seen before. The colours were like something out of an old masters painting. It took all my effort to tear myself away. I thought places like this only existed in America....TG we have this........a real emporium!

One necessity when trying to sell a lot of sport's shoes however are staff members to help you try them on. A search from front to back of the job originally turned up just one poor harassed worker on a till at the back. Ridiculous reallyand felt guilty troubling them to find us someone. When we did finally get someone to help us they were fighting off other people who wanted assistance the whole time. To their credit they were very helpful and friendly in the face of such circumstance.

The store mainly has building supplies at what seem to be quite reasonable prices. The staff seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the shop and were helpful in finding anything that I could not find. The shop never seems to get very busy so it is easier to find what you are looking for in camparision with other DIY and building suppliers in the area. Whickes are always worth a look if you are doing any building work.

The store is well laid out and easy to get around even with a pushchair. The prices are good and I have never had any reason to complain about the service either, with polite and friendly staff ready to help. The store is always clean and tidy and easy to find things in, and is overall a very nice shopping experience with plenty of bargains to be found compared to the prices for similar goods in other high street stores.
