Absolutely appalling! We rented a property via Cornish Cottages in November of last year and…read moreeverything about it was crap. EVERYTHING. We weren't warned of how treacherous it was to even get to the place, no outdoor lighting (with a steep drop down a hill on one side, good thing none of us wandered too far!) the heating didn't work properly (the bedrooms had frost on the walls every morning), we had little to no hot water, some of the amenities advertised were not there, etc. We were forced to leave a day early when the heating quit working in the only room that had heat. At this point we were all coughing and coming down with colds from the cold air at night. We couldn't deal with another day of absolutely no heat, so we left a day early. We raised a complaint with Cornish Cottages and were not taken seriously. I gave a full list of everything that went wrong and most points were ignored. The owner of the property refused to take any responsibility at all. We wanted 50% of our money back and they flat refused. They very grudgingly offered 20% and without an apology. The whole time I dealt with Cornish Cottages I felt they were blaming us for the problems or at least telling us that we were wrong and the issues weren't problems at all. I tried to raise with ABTA but they couldn't help due to this being a private property. I accepted the 20% refund, but did not accept the 10% off next time we use Cornish Cottages. We will NEVER use Cornish Cottages again and I've also convinced my family members to stop using them as well, and they've been using them for years. I strongly advise anyone to reconsider using Cornish Cottages as they don't give a damn about their customers and don't even know the meaning of customer service.

I don't want to ramble on about how good/nice it is but it has 2 bedrooms, 1 double/1 twin, a bathroom with shower/bath/toilet/sink, a separate toilet with sink. A fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) but washing machine. Lounge/dinning area, with tv,video,DVD player, radio & cd player. Above all it's on a small complex, which is totally silent, occasional helicopters to RNAS Culdrose. A perfect place to see perfect sunsets & view the night sky with little or no ambient light. You are no further than 2/3 miles from little coves with beaches or the coastal route around the lizard. If you are looking for that perfect place then this is it, even two teenagers liked it so can't be bad. This is 100% value for money, I will certainly be returning & would highly recommend it. The facilities provided were spot on, they provided a basket of logs and kindling for the fire, there were books, DVD's, games and they had even put out flowers for us, the fridge even had a bottle of milk and a bottle of wine in there too! Amazing, everything about the barn was absolutely perfect, really rural, peaceful a 15 minute drive to the north coast and a 10 minute drive to the south coast.
