Pretty high priced for "used". Not at all organized in…read moreanyway. Stuff doesn't seem to circulate much, go in and it all looks the same as it did a year ago. I would Much rather shop at the thrift stores in the area that sell things for actual used prices. Newlife fellowship just around the corner from ugly eds has better deals. And in south bend you can find grace community thrift store also a great place to by pre owned items. Ugly eds is trying to sell furniture at the price it was originally paid for 20 years ago! I bought a set of matteresses for 200 dollars and when I got rid of them the man who picked them up said "these are older then me!" He was not a young fellow either. Said he could tell by the color and pattern that they were from 1960's! Totally not worth 200 dollars! Broken down and old! When I bought them I had no idea how bad I had been ripped off. Besides that, the women who works there is not overly friendly or helpful. And you will need help finding anything in that mess of a store! And I have live in the area for over 15 years and I have never seen this "ugly Ed" person.

We like to support local businesses today in the world of internet shopping and we appreciated not only the huge amount of furniture there we could physically touch and feel but even for pieces we ordered that weren't physically there they had other pieces we could see in a different color or style so we could still see the construction and quality of the furniture brand. Amanda could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable! She has an amazing ability to plot out and visualize how things will look in the space of the room and we really needed that! They have been super accommodating and even offered to send us a temporary console to put our TV on since the one we ordered will take a couple extra weeks to arrive from the rest of the things. I can't say enough good things about Elam's! They have only gotten better, if possible, over the last 10 years!

Very difficult to operate but was told "oh well, if the manufacturer made it that way, it must be ok" The manger is still offering to take it back, but still charge me a 25 percent return fee. Why should be I be penalized for being sold a defective piece of furniture? I just want a recliner that operates correctly. This piece wasn't available to try out on their floor & the salesperson was not forthcoming about this problem, if she even aware there could be a problem. Stanton is supposed to be a quality furniture company, but obviously they can't design a recliner that will operate correctly. They, at least, should stand behind their product!

We were looking for a particular brand of sofa, which they carried, but they were also very transparent about new concerns they were having with the company. We drove the 40 miles to Chehalis and were greeted by John, a friendly, no pressure, informative and very helpful sales guy. The discounts this weekend were DEEP on already reasonably priced good quality furniture. Emily Elam was also very helpful as we were able to order a dining table at the sale price. We are unable to take possession of the furniture when it arrives, but they were happy to store it free for us, until we are ready for pickup. Shopping at Elma's was worth the drive AND we didn't have to pay Thurston County tax ! We highly recommend Elma's...at least include them if you are looking at and comparative price shopping!

We had specific requirements and those were filled exactly as requested. The professionalism of the delivery crew was top notch. The pricing of what we custom ordered was slightly higher than what we were expecting, however their pricing compared to other dealers of same custom couch system was around $1500 less. This store also has furniture at all price points to facilitate all types of buyers. We looked at 4-5 other furniture store options and went back to first place we started at, Elam's. Plus due to the overall cost of what we ordered, we were not charged the customary deliver fee. Thank you for an easy experience. We would recommend this furniture store for others.

There are lots of gift items: picture frames in all sizes, candles, coffee mugs, wreaths, really pretty tablecloths and napkins and small nous are items.along the back wall there is a pantry section with gourmet jams, bbq sauce, cocoa, gourmet cookies, sauces and pastas. Perfect items for a thoughtful gift basket. In the back of the boutique there is a Large, separate room for painting and craft parties. Wish I lived closer! I'd definitely sign up. Many different items/ booths to wander, some curated, some raw, all equally can hold a buried treasure somewhere.
