Dropped the car off at Stony Ridge Radiator on Monday. They called on Tuesday saying can not find…read moreair conditioning leak. They called back on Wednesday said the found the leak and would order parts. Owner said will be done on Friday. Called shop on Friday and the said they were working on it an it will be done Saturday. Called Saturday morning at 10 am to see what time to pick up and they said should be done by 2:00. Got a call at 12:30 from owner and said they had an employee quit and they could not do the job, and but the car back together. I dont beleive they ever started on the car. They thought they could do it an could not. They will lie to you. I would stay as far away from this place as possible. Should have known as the outside of this place is scary. Warning...warning do not trust this place. Horrible place of business....if that is what you call it. Can't give no stars so gave one. Beware.....beware...beware. If you need some brakes or a tire put on this is your spot. They also offer towing services at a reduced rates so that works also. I've come here and had my radiator replaced several tires replaced and just now the other day I needed some breaks rotors and calipers. I do think that they were cheaper a few years ago but now they're kind of online with a lot of other places but not like Midas or such. Sam is very friendly and responsive. If you need to just roll up and get something done they are very fast. Average time for me has taken maybe an hour to get a lot of things done. You can bring your own parts or have them order it. Lots of the times I will bring my own and just pay for labor. Up to you. This past time I got front brake pads and a caliper replaced. The mechanic took me back to the shop and showed me what the difficulty was so that I didn't think I was getting scammed. I appreciate that and they remember every time that I bring my car in there. I found Bargain Towing online and they were a pleasant God send from start to finish. Sam was very communicative on the phone and gave the best quote in comparison to the other 5 companies I called. He kept me in the loop on what would happen and how soon the tow truck would arrive. And when Billy arrived to pickup my car he was extremely pleasant and talked me through everything he would be doing and dropped my car off safely at my house without incident. Hoping our paths do not need to cross again, lol, but if they do I have their number saved in my phone because they were a ray of sunshine after a gloomy moment. Since I'm not from the Bowling Green area, I had no experience with any of the car servicing businesses. I first called the Volvo dealership in Perrysburg, a twenty to thirty minute drive from my location. My first two calls for the service department were sent to an answering machine. I called back a third time and asked the receptionist for a live person, and she assured me that if I left a message, my call would be returned right away. I didn't wait for the call (it finally came almost three hours later). I called a service company in Bowling Green, and they directed me to Lyric Auto as the best place to work on foreign cars. I called and got someone on the phone (not a machine)! I explained my dilemma, and I was told to bring the car in right away, that they would "squeeze" it into the schedule. Fortunately the drive was only 5 minutes away, as I don't think the car would have gone much further. Rick and his son Eric were in the shop and Rick took the car into the garage right away. He quickly diagnosed the problem ( a misfire due to a broken spark plug which had then caused another part to fail) and ordered a replacement part. It took a while for the part to arrive, but after that, the repair went quickly. My 10 hour return drive back home the next day was uneventful, thanks to the excellent work by the Lyric Auto team.

Long story short, it was do to just not making sure everything was tightened up properly. They fixed the issue but went to pick my vehicle back up and no apologies or even friendly interaction. It was the shops mess up, an apology would've went a long way and it's free..... considering someone could've gotten injured. You live and learn.

Can't say enough good things about Dave and his shop. He is exceedingly honest and a very good…read moremechanic. I was introduced to him through my parents, who highly recommended him. That's saying something, because my dad was not easily impressed by mechanics. He was our regular mechanic for about ten years, and believe me, I didn't want to move out of Toledo, in no small part because I didn't want to loose him! Honest mechanics are hard to find. He kept out POS Chevy Metro going long after it should've died. Dave also worked on our Crown Victoria. I also know there were several times he didn't charge us at all for looking at our car, and said nothing was wrong with the vehicle! Didn't even charge us for the time he spent looking it over! I LOVE Dave's Auto Service!

Worst of worst. 906 Woodsdale…read more So this morning my truck battery was dead. I did a jump start but none of my instruments, radio, windows, heated seats would work. I stopped by to ask if I could use a crescent wrench to disconnect the battery and restart the truck in order to get the truck computer working again. The man started to argue with me without looking at my truck about the truck needing a new instrument panel and that disconnecting the battery would not work. Then when I asked if I could use a wrench he said not a chance, and walked away. I went down the road to another shop. Borrowed the wrench and my truck was fixed after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Went back to let him know that it worked for future reference and his quote from across the room was "Well shit, aren't you smarter than God!" I just turned and walked away. Here are my reasons why I will never go back to this place... 1) The man did not care about the customer or that I would have to continue driving with a vehicle that had no instruments, lights, radio. 2) Refused to even let me use a $2 crescent wrench to attempt to fix it, and refused to look at it. 3) Got into a heated argument about how I am stupid and don't know what I am talking about. 4) He makes me wonder if becoming a disabled combat vet was worth it, when people like this exist and refuse to offer a helping hand.
