Dropped the car off at Stony Ridge Radiator on Monday. They called on Tuesday saying can not find…read moreair conditioning leak. They called back on Wednesday said the found the leak and would order parts. Owner said will be done on Friday. Called shop on Friday and the said they were working on it an it will be done Saturday. Called Saturday morning at 10 am to see what time to pick up and they said should be done by 2:00. Got a call at 12:30 from owner and said they had an employee quit and they could not do the job, and but the car back together. I dont beleive they ever started on the car. They thought they could do it an could not. They will lie to you. I would stay as far away from this place as possible. Should have known as the outside of this place is scary. Warning...warning do not trust this place. Horrible place of business....if that is what you call it. Can't give no stars so gave one. Beware.....beware...beware. That's saying something, because my dad was not easily impressed by mechanics. He was our regular mechanic for about ten years, and believe me, I didn't want to move out of Toledo, in no small part because I didn't want to loose him! Honest mechanics are hard to find. He kept out POS Chevy Metro going long after it should've died. Dave also worked on our Crown Victoria. I also know there were several times he didn't charge us at all for looking at our car, and said nothing was wrong with the vehicle! Didn't even charge us for the time he spent looking it over! Worst of worst. 906 Woodsdale…read more So this morning my truck battery was dead. I did a jump start but none of my instruments, radio, windows, heated seats would work. I stopped by to ask if I could use a crescent wrench to disconnect the battery and restart the truck in order to get the truck computer working again. The man started to argue with me without looking at my truck about the truck needing a new instrument panel and that disconnecting the battery would not work. Then when I asked if I could use a wrench he said not a chance, and walked away. I went down the road to another shop. Borrowed the wrench and my truck was fixed after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Went back to let him know that it worked for future reference and his quote from across the room was "Well shit, aren't you smarter than God!" I just turned and walked away. Here are my reasons why I will never go back to this place... 1) The man did not care about the customer or that I would have to continue driving with a vehicle that had no instruments, lights, radio. 2) Refused to even let me use a $2 crescent wrench to attempt to fix it, and refused to look at it. 3) Got into a heated argument about how I am stupid and don't know what I am talking about. 4) He makes me wonder if becoming a disabled combat vet was worth it, when people like this exist and refuse to offer a helping hand. At their shop you get personalized service that you would expect from a small local business(that is hard to find these days) they far exceed any chain auto shops. I moved about 1 hour away 5 years ago and I still make the trip there to get my car repaired, brakes, fuel pump, AC compressor, suspension work, and many others. I know when I go there I'm going to get my car fixed right the first time at a honest price. My car is a 1995 Honda with close to 300,000 miles on the original engine and transmission that they have kept running stong when parts have worn out. You won't find a better shop in the Northwest Ohio area.

If you need to just roll up and get something done they are very fast. Average time for me has taken maybe an hour to get a lot of things done. You can bring your own parts or have them order it. Lots of the times I will bring my own and just pay for labor. Up to you. This past time I got front brake pads and a caliper replaced. The mechanic took me back to the shop and showed me what the difficulty was so that I didn't think I was getting scammed. I appreciate that and they remember every time that I bring my car in there. I found Bargain Towing online and they were a pleasant God send from start to finish. Sam was very communicative on the phone and gave the best quote in comparison to the other 5 companies I called. He kept me in the loop on what would happen and how soon the tow truck would arrive. And when Billy arrived to pickup my car he was extremely pleasant and talked me through everything he would be doing and dropped my car off safely at my house without incident. Hoping our paths do not need to cross again, lol, but if they do I have their number saved in my phone because they were a ray of sunshine after a gloomy moment. I was treated amazingly, things were laid out upfront, and I felt like they have pride in their work and rightfully so. I really appreciate when someone is honest and blunt if they have to be right away. Give me the info and I'll make the best decision for me and that's what they did. But then they went above and beyond. They warned it could take a while... they warned it could be quite pricey if certain conditions existed. I agreed to all upfront because I wanted the job done right as my number one priority and I got the feeling these guys were going to do just that. Imagine my surprise when it was finished way quicker than I expected and for lowest end of the price range they gave me. It's been a few weeks and absolutely satisfied with the job done!
