    Valvoline Instant Oil Change

On 8/16/2025, I went to Valvoline (3452 Airline Drive) for an oil change. I have been a loyal…read morecustomer at this location for over two years. During my visit, the technician Monroe told me my right headlight was going in and out and asked if I wanted it replaced. I agreed but asked for the total cost of both the oil change and the bulb replacement before proceeding. Monroe assured me they had two bulbs in stock. He and another technician, Christian, attempted to replace the bulb but broke it in the process. Afterward, Monroe admitted that they actually did not have the correct bulb--despite previously saying they did. I submitted a claim with Valvoline, which led to a meeting with the manager, Morgan, three days later. Unfortunately, this only made the situation worse. Morgan was dismissive, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He refused to acknowledge what happened--even though the bulb was working before his team broke it--and he would not reimburse me for the $20 bulb. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. As an African American woman, I felt disrespected, ignored, and devalued as both a paying customer and a loyal one. The way Morgan handled this situation shows a complete lack of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. My warning: If you are a woman or a minority, stay away from this Valvoline location. They do not respect loyal customers, and management refuses to do the right thing when their employees make mistakes.

This started out, I thought, being good. He seemed to know wht the problem was an said he could fix…read moreit. He left our car there for about 324 weeks , and I had to pay for a rent , a car that whole time , which ended up being around twelve or fifteen hundred. Got my car back was going back home on the interstate, and my car was doing the same thing. So we called him back , and he told us to bring it back in that he would look at it some more. I don't know what he did , but it seemed to work. We\nHad a 2 year warranty on the transmission. So after about a year and three months , my car started doing the exact same thing that it was doing before. So we called him and told him what was going on.And he said that he couldn't find the paperwork to prove that it was still under warran. We searched and searched , and finally found the paperwork that we had at home , and it definitely showed that it was still under warranty. We took the car back to him and he said it needed to be flushed out that it was going to be $300.So we paid the three hundred dollars to get it flushed out. That was not the problem. So we called him back, told me it was still doing the same thing and he said he didn't know what else to do, but he had found another transmission in Dallas and it was going to be $1100, but he didn't have the money to pay for it that we needed to help out.Even though it was under warranty. So we only gave him three hundred dollars more. And left our car there for another week.I left it with a full tank of gas and set my odometer reader. When I went back to get my car , I had to sit there and wait for him to get back to the shop in my car. He had somebody else with him riding. And when they got out , they had lunch with them. He said the car was fixed. So we got in the car and there was trash all in my car. There was only one quarter of a tank of gas , and they had spilt stuff , all in my seats. I started taking it home and it was doing the same thing as before. Set my husband said that we would just not deal with him anymore.Just leave it , it is what it is. So I would not , and I repeat not recommend this man for anything!!!! I can't believe he had the nerve to run all my gas out and spill stuff in my car and leave trash water bottles, potato chip bags, everything in my car.Like he's been using it for his own personal use all week and didn't even put the other transmission in. We paid him over thirty five hundred dollars plus I had to pay for my rent , a car for 5 weeks, and that was not cheap. So he got all this money and didn't fix the problem. We decided to just drive it the way it is.And when it breaks , it breaks completely. That we were not gonna take it anywhere else and spend any more money on this car.Because it's a two thousand seventeen , and it has over two hundred thousand miles on it. It'\nS been a very good car up until the transmission. So I would say the services requested was not done and we paid more even though it was under warranty. That warranty doesn't mean anything to him. Please , please please do not take your vehicle to this man!!!

I took my car to this shop and while the original issue was eventually fixed after about three…read moreweeks, my car came back with a problem it did not have before I brought it in. I immediately informed the shop and was told to bring it back. When I asked how long the repair would take, I was assured that I would hear back the same day or by the next day. Unfortunately, a full week went by with no updates until I reached out myself. The new issue was with my Bluetooth system, which is essential since our state requires hands-free driving. I had to bring my car back multiple times, but even after two or three attempts, the Bluetooth still does not work properly. To make matters worse, the shop has now stopped responding to me altogether. This experience has been extremely frustrating. Not only did my car come back with a new problem, but I am now forced to pay another mechanic to fix what they broke. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to resolve the issue make it very difficult for me to recommend this shop.
