What can I say? It's a bank. I have been with royal bank since I was a wee little thing opening up my very own Leo account to save my allowance. I have had my fair share of ups and downs with them over the years but for the most part, they have been able to adequately rectify their mistakes (I say adequately because they fix the mistake but don't make up for the inconvenience they cause you - come on, lower my interest rate or something!). I won't go into too much detail about that because I would like to talk about this location. However, it deserves mention as this is why they have 4 rather than 5 stars.
I generally just use the machines here. They have one outside that I use when I am walking the dog. I use the ones inside when I don't have the dog due to my husband's insistence that people pee on the outside one... Who knows. What is important is that both areas appear to always be clean, machines are always working and there are always enough envelopes for deposits (a common issue at other banks).
I have been inside once when I lost my bank card and required a replacement. It is also clean inside. I didn't catch any names but the guy at the front desk was pleasant.
While I was waiting for a teller, two little girls ran in the bank and started talking to an employee at another desk asking her if she remembered them from when her parents came to talk to her. The woman at the desk engaged in small talk with them and offered them stickers.
A father-son duo were ahead of me and the father said he wanted to transfer however much money into his son's account. The teller responded "and what about my account?"
When I got to a teller, she handled my problem quickly and in a friendly manner. They all went totally gaga over my daughter who, though shy, happily smiled back at everyone.
My point, as I am sure you can see, is that the atmosphere is very warm and friendly at this bank. It's nice to see employees engaging and even joking with people in this way and makes waiting in line much more pleasant. read more
