In October 2023, me and my daughter were involved in a terrible car accident. Luckily, were made it out with our lives, but the recovery took quite some time. With the help of Dr. Julie and other doctors at other various facilities, they have helped us overcome the pain and recovery process over time. Me and my daughter have been with Shreveport Aquatic and Land Therapies for a year, and the difference between now and then is astounding. When I first came to therapy, I could not move my head back and forth, and just the slightest touch on my lower back hurt so bad. My daughter also suffered from a serious knee contusion and a bruised sternum. Dr. Julie and staffed worked several days a week for a year, addressing the numerous problems of my neck and back along with my daughters' injuries using special techniques accomplishing an amazing outcome. With options of the heated pool therapy, land therapy with bands and numerous specialized stretches, messages, heated or iced packs, dry needling, LightForce EXPi Deep Tissue Therapy Laser, Shockwave therapy and so many other things available that have helped tremendously. I can now move my neck freely without migraines every day, I can comfortably ride on long rides for vacations and my daughter can run and play without any pain. Through our darkest times wanting to give up and most endured pain, Dr. Julie and the staff has been there through it all. We didn't gain just the greatest healing therapy but a long-lasting friendship with people who we trust with our wellbeing. They were there to insure we were able to meet our goals and reminded us that we were stronger than we thought and would overcome this pain, as we did. I could go on and on about each day we were there and how hard they worked to push us to recovery. With out Dr. Julie and the amazing staff, I don't think I could have made it without them at Shreveport Aquatic and Land Therapy. Mom has dementia, and on quite a few occasions I've had to go to the staff for help in reaching mom by phone. The staff has been there for me every time. Never once was I made to feel like I was bothering them or asking for more than I should. They love my mom, and even gave her a very sweet nickname. When I go to visit, it seems like ALL the staff know mom by name and nickname Of course momma wants to go "home" but she is happy there when she's not lonely for her family. I have had one issue with management in almost 4 years and I think that's pretty good . I would recommend you check into Heritage-Stratmore to see if it would be a good fit for your loved one!
