They never answer their phone. Terrible that they don't have a receptionist or call center team. Or why can't they put some of that behind a self service portal? You should be able to make and change appointments online. read more

Very unprofessional. Office staff is rude and could care less about helping you. They don't return phone calls and are not very helpful if or when they do return your call. Final straw was getting an appointment for my daughters scheduled for weeks canceled the morning of the appointment. When I called them that day to reschedule they told me they were 2 months out for scheduling. I didnt cancel and if I wouldve they would've charged me but to not be able to reschedule in a timely matter is inexcusable. These appointments were important but They just don't care. read more

I've had 2 experiences here with my child. Both times the doctors were extremely curt and unfriendly. The one doctor even pulled a bit of a suck it up with my toddler. Treatments were appropriate but I give them a zero for bedside manner. The billing office requested for me to pay my outstanding bill and got a little accusatory about it... but I was a completely new patient to the practice. So, I'm not thrilled and I'll be looking elsewhere. I really miss our old pediatrician. The nurse hotline is great though! She's got her stuff together and was very helpful and friendly, if only everyone were like her. read more

Terrible experience with this practice. I received a nasty letter kicking me out of the practice because I asked why I had to wait an hour in the office for a well visit when there were people coming and going around me with sick kids. If this is the case, they should schedule a separate Doctor for sick visits and a separate doc for well visits. That's. It all, this was to see a physician assistant to no less. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with a child. You are one comment away from receiving a letter kicking you out of the practice and I've heard it's been done to many friends families as well. Had I known what I now now, I would've gone elsewhere when they were infants. True arrogance and disregard for parents and children. read more

I was a patient of Reading Pediatrics until I matured past the pediatric range. In all cases they were extremely professional and assisted me in various childhood emergencies. If I still lived in the Reading area, my children would go to their practice. My only caveat is that in the age of medical insurance reform (i.e., Affordable Care Act), things may have changed drastically with the need to cycle quickly through patients, but I am not sure anywhere other than a concierge doctor can deliver what the general practitioners of old could. read more

I went to this practice as a child and I have seen many of these drs since I've been a baby, the car wi received and the one my children receive is VERY different. The nursing staff is down right disrespectful. For an office so concerned about COVID they DENIED my not only 4 year old who was expansed to COVID and my 1 year old who had a cold all week a COVID test. I was told there were "more important children" instead of where I could get them a rapid test done. The nurse argued with me on the phone. UNPROFESSIONAL! The care my children received at this office has been sub par at best, from the most experienced to the newest. They don't know your kids or even pretend to know them. There are a few exceptions, but it's like playing Russian roulette when making an appointment. One of the founders of the practice actually grabbed my child from my arms and forcefully laid her on the table without my consent. The wait time to actually see a doctor is 30 minutes on average after the nurse leaves the room. The nurses are rude and dismissive when you call with a question. You can never get through when calling and sometimes wait up to an hour (and even have to call again) for them to call you back. When I expressed these concerns at my final visit, no one seemed to care and I did not receive a follow up phone call. Switching practices was the best decision ever. read more

Absolutely LOVE taking my two children here. The doctors are all super nice. There have been a few occasions where I've needed to make same day appointments and got in with no problem. I take my children to see Carrie and have done so since they were born. She's always super friendly and bubbly. She gets on the floor with my almost 3 year old and plays with him. I highly recommend taking your children here. They are super professional and you can see they're passionate about what they do. read more

My daughter usually sees Dr. Kelly, who is absolutely wonderful. We made a sick day appointment for ear pain and saw a different doctor. He flushed her ear, and immediately she started hysterically crying. There was blood coming out of her ear. I brought her to an Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialist and spent almost $100 for the visit and ear drops to find that the doctor had damaged her ear canal while inserting the instrument to flush her ear. The pain, discomfort, and impaired hearing she has been experiencing was due to careless actions. read more

My children were patients of this practice for over 10 years and only because we trusted our doctor, not the practice. They consider you a number, one of their 50,000 patients, and certainly not a person; they cram in as many people as possible instead of properly reviewing your family medical history and taking the time to treat you during your appointment. My children are rarely sick and only go in for well visits each year, and when my child was actually sick, he was completely "put off" by the on-call doctor who was astonishingly rude and condescending toward me. We are their model patients, have great insurance and pay our bills at the time of service. This physician was so ignorant, to the extent that I had to take my child to urgent care after 6 days with a fever and severe ear pain because this particular on-call dr. told me my child had "a virus". My son previously had tubes in his ears and is prone to ear infections because of small eustachian tubes. I tried to tell this to the doctor because he had such severe ear pain. My son never complains of pain at all. For him to express this much discomfort is highly unusual. When they received the records from the urgent care and found that my child was misdiagnosed (in fact it was a double ear infection and not a 'virus') they then sent me a letter indicating that my children were "no longer considered patients of their practice" and we would need to find another pediatrician. Terrible philosophy, would never recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I was told "they don't accept Foster Children into their practice" even though I'm legal guardian, two completely separate titles and meanings!! Then waited 2 months and paid all medical record transfer fees to be told that my daughter who went there 10 years ago cannot re-enter the practice and all my kids have to go there. Very rude receptionist and practice manager and when I tried to call to speak to someone higher up about my treatment I got no where and they didn't seem to think the way it was handled was a problem. We have good insurance that they accept and I spoke to them multiple times that this issue could have been brought up sooner. Best part is since we transferred out of our current Dr. we can't get in there either. We have no doctor to see and they have my children's medical records!! read more

If you are looking for a pediatrician for your children, this is NOT the practice to go to. It is nearly impossible to get a phone call back from anyone. It took me 3 phone calls to finally receive a response to schedule a well visit for one of my children. The wait once you have an appointment is ridiculously long. Not only waiting in the waiting room, but then being stranded in the patient room with a child for about 45 minutes. The staff both at the front desk (Exeter office) and on the phone (the medical records/administration) is rude and does not follow up. They do not have good communication between offices. After having my children with this practice for over 10 years, I FINALLY had enough. I hadn't wanted to switch them, because I figured, they only go about once a year for their yearly exams, but seriously these things continue to occur EVERY YEAR (example: I requested a female doctor for my teenage daughter, and was told there are none available at Exeter location, so I took her to Wyomissing and she had to see the Nurse Practitioner, who by the way, was lovely) ...good luck getting your medical records from them and be prepared for them to over-charge you for a copy. I am not one to complain, really, its just there are many other practices out there who will be happy to have my business. Good riddance....END RANT. read more
