First, they told me the job would take 3-4 hours at $300/hour. It took 7. When they were there (arrived at 11), at 1pm they even said they would be done by 3 but did not "finish" until 6. As some friends that came to see us off noted, there seemed to be a lot of standing around by a lot of the guys, but we still paid for it. Second, they said that everything would fit, it did not. The problem was, I was told "decisions will have to be made" as we got near the end and stuff that I would not have packed made it in, while stuff that I would have packed had to be left. I could deal with both of those things. Things come up and so be it. My biggest issue is the care of items. A lot of items were damaged because of the lack of care they were given. Rather than being wrapped in moving blanket, some items were only wrapped in plastic. 3 different wood pieces now how deep guages because of this. I have a ceramic smoker that I gave very clear instructions on how to pack. It was not done this way and now is damaged. The box carrying our computer monitors was placed very precariously and I even mentioned that as they were doing it. An items in that box was damaged. A fabric chair that we have was just placed in, not wrapped in anything at all. Other stuff that rubbed up against it left stains on it that we could not get out. Additionally, I saw them loading boxes in the truck by climbing on other boxes. I actually watched some cave in. I saw a plastic bin crack while this was being done. I found damaged items in these boxes that could have only been broke in that way based on how they were packed and the fact that no additional force was placed upon them. I paid $2000 for this service and have a number of damaged items. The point was to not kill myself before a cross country trip by using professionals, and I held off writing this, but as I continued to unpack and notice things, it just became too much. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

This company was contracted by my roofing contractor for disposal of debris resulting our roof…read morereplacement. Two dumpsters were brought in and placed on our asphalt drive, one positioned such that the wheels were supported by blocks of wood and also setting on a concrete apron the second was set up slightly further than the first, not setting on the concrete and setting on small pieces of thin plywood. As a result of this, the weight of the dumpster which sat there from Thursday to the following Monday caused deep divots in the drive. My roofing contractor was notified who in turn notified Ez Rolloff and after their inspection felt they had no responsibility since there had been "wood" placed under the wheels so therefore, it wasn't there fault. Just be careful with this company if they have such careless attitude of others property and won't accept wrongdoing of their practices. I did ask the owner of another company that rents rolloffs and explained the situation and his response was- "Of course he would take care of something that one of his drivers had responsibility for. It is obvious that the problem stemmed from improper placement of the rolloff and inadequate support for the weight of the wheels on asphalt paving." Buyer beware is all I can say!

Good work, poor quote…read more I had a shed and platform that needed removing on the morning that a new shed was to arrive. They made a bid based not only on that specification, but also photos I sent showing both the shed and the platform. When the crew arrived, they said (a) they did not know the platform was part of the project and (b) it would cost more to do the job. Since I was stuck, needing to have the old shed gone so the new shed could go in its place, I had no options but to pay more than the bid. The shed and platform were removed, no complaints about the actual work. But had the office manager, Philip, done his job properly, I could have saved a couple of hundred bucks by keeping the platform and staging the new shed atop it. I worry. In the moving business, some local/regional movers play a game where they bid low, then on moving day demand more money saying the job was bigger than expected. This is a well known scam since the person moving cannot stay in their old rental. I hope this is not what Junk Recyclers is doing. So, if you have a small junk hauling gig, they are probably fine. Anything bigger, you might insist on a site visit and firm quote.
