So I was unfortunate enough to cause a tiny light scratch on the car I hired recently. It wasn't a deep key like scratch but probably caused by a thorn bush. I was told all was ok on check in and assumed my deposit would be returned. Alas three weeks on no deposit so I enquired via email to ask about it. No response so I rang in to the office who told me yes they had retained the deposit as they would have to repaint the whole panel. I suppose Father Christmas and the Tooth Fairy are real too, polish and t cut and done more like!. I wouldn't mind but have been using them regularly for over 5yrs and very satisfied. Not this time round and won't be returning. F.T.R AVIS & Enterprise wouldn't have charged for such a light scuff. read more
