The good: I got a Jellycat schnauzer dog here as a gift from a friend and it was very cute. My daughter really enjoyed it and named it Tweezer. The store was super cute and had many fun toys. The bad: The stuffed animal was around $30 but all stuffed animals by that brand are expensive. It's cramped inside so it may be hard to move around with a stroller. The interesting: They had cute and hipster kids clothes and toys. Lots of the items were very giftable and trendy. read more

This place is super cute! I came upon this shop by accident and stopped in yesterday hoping to find a birthday gift for my truck loving nephew who's turning 2 in a few weeks. The friendly owner showed me around and - success! I found a large dump truck and ended up also buying a smaller truck that my son was especially taken with (ah the hazards of toy shopping for one child with another!). I'm very new to the reborn community, I was referred to go on reborns.com site to buy a babydoll. I was told this site is a very trusted site. I decided to give it a shot. I came across Rebecca Nations, she was very nice, emailed me back right away, very helpful and kind. She sent me the tracking number and kept me informed. There's always a 50/50 chance of feeling did I get scammed or am I really getting the doll i bought. The box came in and it was exactly the doll I wanted. Since this is my first time buying, I would definitely ask for more photos in a different light, but other than that I'm very happy. I'm looking forward to purchasing again. I do want to try to buy from a different artist, so we shall see. l do recommend this website to new beginners. This store is small, but mighty! They always have what I'm looking for (sippy cups, sleep sacks) and things we don't necessarily need, but want (flamingo romper, My First Book of sushi). The owner (I'm assuming) learned my daughters name on the third time we visited and now greets her whenever we're in the store. It's a little pricer than say, Target, but they have boutique baby/toddler items so it makes sense. Check out this store, you'll want to buy everything! read more

What a wonderful experience, randomly walking around Tennyson the other day. The shop lady was super sweet, offering help and recommendations a few times. I found a SkipHop diaper bag for $45.00! (Originally $90). I found their prices to be relatively on par for the quality of the brands/items they carry. My only wish is that they had more sizes... The little outfit I wanted to buy (a super soft onesie/pant/hat set with a green elephant) was out of matching sizes. Happy to support a such a carefully curated local establishment! read more

Really wanted to like this place, but I've never experienced a more cold and superficial atmosphere... in a store that sells children's items nonetheless! So strange. All the staff (I believe the owner was there too?) seemed inexperienced, unwelcoming, and only concerned with whatever gossip they were going on about. I will not be returning nor would I recommend this spot to my friends. I love shopping local here in Denver, but this place feels far from local and really lacks that hospitality piece or just being a nice person in general. read more

I want to like Real Baby, I literally live across the street, the view from my balcony is this place. I can get things I need, gifts, even some things I needed in an emergency like the Nose Frieda. My problem is how impersonal this place is. I've walked in and have gotten completely ignored. Other times an associate just stands awkwardly a few feet from you not saying anything. Is the art of small talk so difficult? Give me some product knowledge, tell me about what's new and amazing...ask if I've shopped the store before, ask how I liked the roebeez shoes, or the teething bibs. I bought a massive haul for a set of twins for a baby shower, ask how it worked out, did they love it??..that's how you build a clientele. But most of all, I truly feel after being in well over 20 times over the past year and spending hundreds of dollars, if you don't know me, why don't you know my kid?? Never ask about him, even when we are in the store, they could not care less about the baby....in a baby store. I don't get how a neighborhood store can give so little regard to actual neighbors and those trying to support their business. There are many stores on Tennyson that truly care and take the time to remember their local customers, or at least make you feel welcome with a warm greeting, unfortunately this place is pretty chilly and I honestly don't like shopping here. read more

Great store with great products - we found the glider of our dreams here after an exhausting search. More importantly, though, is that owners Hilary & John go above and beyond. I was excited to check out this store with my sister in law because there are so few local stores for baby items. They had an ok selection of products for a small boutique baby store and I was able to see some brands in person that I had only seen online. A lack of cloth diapering anything was also disappointing but the main reason I felt compelled to review was the very unwelcoming environment. We were acknowledged with a hello when we walked in and started to look. I had my baby and young daughter with me and as we walked around sometimes I'd make eye contact and smile with the worker but even with a baby I didn't get any smile back but no big deal. Also as we looked at things, one lady would stand near or go to that spot after we walked away but without talking to us or asking if we needed help even though for a good while we were the only ones in the store. I thought maybe I was just imagining this awkwardness and anyway I didn't need help but what made it more obvious was that when two other women walked in, they were greeted in friendly tones and offered help right away, as well as acknowledged as they left, which we were not. It was an uncomfortable experience and I most likely won't be returning there. read more
