Do you like to be patronized and talked down to? Do you like horrible service and obnoxious staff? Want to ruin ur day off? This is the place for you! Rude from the moment I walked in, I have never been treated so poorly in any store in my life. Not really sure why I deserved this, but I can tell you, I will never be back, and strongly encourage you to boycott this establishment. I went in to ask questions about how their program worked because I have a bunch of kids stuff that I would like to sell... the young lady behind the counter, seemed to know what she was talking about but at the same time, didn't encourage me to go ahead and bring items to their store. There was a large selection of everything there, and the prices were pretty reasonable on the tags that I saw but she never invited me to bring any of my stuff. She told me to take it someplace else and she hasn't even seen any of it yet, so I really don't know much about this business, but I know that I was turned away politely. We love Kid to Kid but we noticed this location is constantly rude. We have been here 3 times and won't return for a while until we see the comments shift to better customer service. Every business has rules and policies to adhere to, but the way employees interact with customers to make sure they return is critical. After forgetting the receipt to make an exchange we were told the policy which we understand. We asked if we 'just made the 25 min drive for nothing' the employee bluntly just said 'yes'. I can think of dozens of work arounds and additionally 100s of things to say to a customer to ensure they make the effort to return. Rudeness is not something that you can train out of some employees- nor a habit of not smiling or trying at all to be friendly. If I were managing this store I would see quickly that there is a negative culture and the employees see the customers as a nuisance they have to deal with. They also told us we couldn't have our 2 yr old daughter go thru the little pink door as it was hot and was sticking. No 'sorry' or anything that showed they cared whatsoever- we were just in the way of them ending their shift (hardly anyone in the store at the time). There are lots of these children's stores in Denver and we will in future drive much farther if needed to avoid this location. 3 strikes and you're out as the negative attitude and culture have proven to be the norm. read more

BEWARE: AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS! My wife was recently treated appallingly by Kid to Kid in Arvada, CO. She dropped off a large bin of pristine children's clothing--Gap, OshKosh, Carter's--easily worth over $1,000. She was told she'd receive a call or text once the items were evaluated. That never happened. A week later, when she returned, she was told they kept eight items, offered her $10, and donated the rest--without ever contacting her. The associate casually blamed their "new system glitch" and said she'd have to come back on another day just to receive the $10 cash. When she emailed to express her outrage, instead of apologizing, they accused her of never being a customer and falsely claimed they tried to contact her. They also said she had "multiple names/accounts" and now have blocked her from their Facebook page, effectively silencing her rather than addressing their mistake. Let me be crystal clear: Her name is Laura Syme. Her phone ends in 8796. She spoke with a store associate in person, who confirmed she remembered her. At no point did anyone from Kid to Kid attempt to call or text her. Not once. The fact that this business would lie, deny, and silence valid criticism rather than make it right is disgraceful. This is not just about $10. It's about how customers are treated--with disrespect, dishonesty, and complete lack of accountability. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!! read more

Gave a bunch of stuff and only got $4. for example I gave the mini brands fridge and a bunch of the food that goes inside and many more thing other than that and I only got $4. When I paid almost $20 for the fridge alone. read more

the customer service was horrible here and the payout was no better, I gave them a couple battle ship games a decent bit of action figures and a couple stuffed animal and some other things, and i only got $8 total. i would highly recommend avoiding this store. read more

The staff here are rude and the store is dirty. One of the first items I looked at was 18 m footed pajamas and the foot had a large hole in it. When selling items here, they lie and say they can't process that day, to come back tomorrow. They say they'll contact you, but they don't. When you file a complaint, the manager gaslights and never reaches out. They throw away all your items, then say it's your fault for not coming to pick them up the night you dropped them off, despite the staff telling you otherwise. Horrible business. Horrible people. Shady business practices comparable to theft. When they get a bag review, they ask friends to give them 5 star rating. Unethical. read more

I've been shopping here for at least a decade - when they opened up, someone handed me a flyer in the parking lot of another massive baby gear sale. He said they offered cash, which was new at the time. My boys, now teenagers, have fond memories of this place as they used to get a free book every month and there was a little movie/play area for them. (The play area is gone now, I don't know about free books.) So I've seen the store go through several iterations. I even once applied to work here! I was just there yesterday looking for specific items for my 9 year old daughter. (We found them.) As a buyer, the value is great. Occasionally you'll find a Target brand item that went on clearance at Target for the same price, but that's why they don't accept those brands much. I have 2 sons, and I did notice that as boys get older, they get harder on their clothes, and the inventory shows this. It was hard for me to find a lot that still looked current over size 6 or so for boys. I've had better luck with larger girl sizes. As a seller, I've generally found that accepting credit is better than cash, as the cash doesn't go nearly as far. Like I said, I've seen the store through a lot of employees, and generally speaking, they are polite, usually friendly. After about 13 years, I think my time shopping here is coming to a close as my youngest child grows, but I would absolutely recommend it to parents of young children. read more

I love shopping here! They always have great sales happening and their "Dollar Days" and mix and match bins ongoing sales are incredible for stocking up on play/daycare clothes. My selling experience has also been positive. Just be smart about what you're bringing in to sell (seasonal, stain-free, etc) and always go for the store credit because you know you're going to end up spending it there anyways! ;) read more

I brought in a brand new baseball mitt and several pairs of brand name shoes in great shape - Natives, Merrell hiking boots, Kamik snow boots. They're all in great condition and were over $225 new. Horrible experience. I came in to get a quote, the girl that helped me said I could wait or leave and come back when they were done. I left the store and when I came back they told me the amount. I asked the lady how much they were thinking of giving me for the sit me up chair I brought in, she said $10. I declined and the lady said "it's ours now since you left the store" the girl that took in my items never mentioned that if I left I wasn't going to be able to get my items back. My daughter never used the sit me up because she had to get open heart surgery and spent most of her infant life in the hospital afterwards. I got it for $70 and they took it and only offered me $10. I know that when I go look for the sit me up they will be selling it for $20 or more. All I can say is they're thieves!!! I couldn't even get my items back. I use to shop and sell clothes here years ago. Went to sell my daughter's clothes today and it was not a good experience at all. Not sure if the store was sold and under new ownership. Took a lot of brand new clothes to sell with shoes. My daughter had a lot of clothes with tags on them. They offered me $11 for two new pairs of converse and a real pair of Sorel boots. The employees said my clothes had a weird smell to them and they wouldn't buy them. The weird smell wasn't my clothes it was the smell of the store. I took all my things and left. None of the clothes had a weird smell I checked. My daughter said they want the shoes and she was right. I would find another place to sell clothes and buy as this place does not want to pay for good quality items. read more

This kid to kid leaves so much to be desired. Almost every time I have come here the staff has been rude, even when just answering simple questions. The rewards program is severely lacking compared to other K2K's I've been too, they pay very low on items brought back in and items to buy are hit and miss on availability and pricing. Unfortunately have to post - won't be coming back to this store again. I live an hour away from the store and sought a short extension of the 30-day exchange policy to allow us to return unused jeans that did not fit my child. I was told "no exception". This is the first time I sought an exception out of the many years coming to the store. Won't be coming here again.
