So when Patrick first came out he took care of us. Pool was always clean and did not charge a lot. Even offered services to clean filter and clean leaves from around the pool. BUT... Then another guy started helping him.. Did not show for weeks.. Pool turned green again and Patrick had to drain it AGAIN. This year was the final straw. We have been telling Patrick since May that the pool is turning green. We got excuses that he just got a big account in Orange County and has been busy. Oh he will be by tomorrow... Never showed. FINALLY our pool is a murky bog and Patrick shows cleans the filter and leaves. This does nothing so he has to drain it. Which he did and then never came back. That was a week ago. We have tried to multiple times to get ahold of him. Pool is now stained and needs acid washed. I am very disappointed with this service. And will not be requiring his services any further. I would love to tell him that but considering he cant return a message I guess I'll stop holding my breath about him showing up. read more

I have an above ground spa that is enclosed in a gazebo that became infested over the years by critters getting under it. Who knew? In any event I had what was thought to be a simple leak as the critter(s) chewed up a bit of my plumbing. Upon initial inspection Clark gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. When he came out to fix my spa the problem was worse than expected. Not only did the critters cause more damage than initially thought it was a nasty mess underneath the spa. Clark went above and beyond to try to fix the problems but in the end I paid $500 to still have a spa that does not work! Although Clark is a very nice guy I worked with him in good faith and he promised to have the spa lifted, the leaks found, the spa lowered and then tested until each leak was fixed. This did not happen as he did not have adequate staff to perform this level of labor. In addition, there was a nasty mess left in my back yard, screws to my paneling all over the ground, cans from refreshments I provided left on my lawn and the paneling to my spa was left undone. As the job grew in scope the level of Clark and his staffs efforts left a lot to be desired! I guess, if the job is not a difficult one he is your guy but towards the end there were many missed appointments, a mess was left, the job was not finished and I still do not have an operational spa :( VERY DISSATISIFIED and I paid a lot of money for the pleasure! I guess in short, if the job is too big or if he did not have experience solving the level of work required he should have not taken the job! read more

These guys are the absolute worst. He was supposed to come every week, but wouldn't even show up some weeks, then ignored our phone calls when we asked him to do his job. He even tried to claim he DID show up a few times when we knew for a fact he did not (someone was home all day). Some weeks he would show up, throw a few chlorine tablets in the pool and leave. I would definitely not recommend these guys! I'm giving then a one star rating because yelp won't let me post this with zero stars. read more

History of not finishing jobs according to previous reviews and I fell victim to it. Clark came by and "fixed" my pump. Unfortunately I paid him and he left before I could turn my pump on because he had used glue that needed to dry before turning it on. When I finally did turn it on, I found that it wasn't fixed. I informed Clark of this and on several occasions, he said he would come by to take a look at it but all I got was excuse after excuse and he never came back. After giving me the last excuse I was going to take from him, I sent him a text and told him I was appalled at how he runs his business and treats his customers and that I was going to write a negative Yelp review and report him to the BBB. He responded "ok thanks". Definitely would not recommend. I ended up calling Mike with Absolute Pool Service and Repair and he ended up re-doing what Clark did and now it works great and Mike provided EXCELLENT customer service by communicating with me regularly and showing up for appointments which Clark definitely DID NOT do. Would definitely recommend Absolute Pool Service and Repair over the unprofessional service and lack of service of Clark and "Real Deal" Pool Guys. read more

Patrick has been my pool guy for a few months now. He only charges $50 a month at the moment for full service - then it will go up June to $85. He is always here on the day he is supposed to come, and he even fixed my waterfall for free that has been broken for a year or so, and I was given a $200 estimate to fix from another company. He is a nice guy, and does a good job. I am glad I found him, because he does more than just run in and out in 10 minutes like most of them do. I had the best experience!!! I was in desperate need of a repair to my pool pump. I went online and started making phone calls, everyone I called couldn't help me that day. Finally I came across realdeal pool guy and he was amazing!!!! Within an hour or two he was at my house. He knew exactly what was wrong with the pool pump and fixed it within minutes. He went above and beyond with his service, it was a Sunday when I needed help and he came on a day he normally would have been closed. I recommend him to anyone needing any kind of pool service. His bid to install an energy efficient pool pump was competitive (and he honored it even though his material cost was greater than expected), he gave me complete information and advice about the equipment beforehand, scheduled the job promptly and arrived on time. BEWARE, DOES NOT HONOR HIS WARRANTIES..This person went to my house to replace a 2HP motor. The replacement motor came with a warranty. When the unit failed in August I called the guy he did not reply for 2 days until August 15th. He said he was too far away and busy schedule to get to the location. Then out of desperation I had to troubleshoot the problem and send him pictures. Then after it was confirmed the unit was bad he said he was not able to get to the location for another week. Out of desperation I was forced to use Youtube videos to swap my water slide pump with the main pump to ensure my pool did not turn green. After the clear evidence and photos he said he would come with a replacement motor and honor his warranty (i have screenshots to prove he said this). Keep in mind this was August 15 and we are now on September 19. This guy does not honor his warranty. Luckily I kept screenshots and records of our conversations and his various excuses for not coming to replace the bad motor he installed. I will now have to waste more of my energy to sue him for refund of the pump. I definitely will not be calling this guy as he has no honor in his work. I will be glad to show any of you the screenshots of ALL his replies and false promises if he so chooses to rebuttal my claim. I will even post my results when i finish suing this guy in court. read more
