Washnwerk damaged my car and verbally agreed to cover the damages. Multiple other customers reported similar problems with Washnwerk. Here's what happened: I brought my car in for a window tint and picked it up to find damage on the rear driver's side of my vehicle -- white paint transfer and my light blue paint scraped off. When I discovered the damage, the manager, Garrett, acknowledged it looked like a white car had hit my car and verbally agreed to cover the cost of the repair. My partner witnessed this interaction including Garrett saying "We'll cover the cost of the damage because I don't want you to leave here feeling like we screwed you over." I did not file a police report that day because I trusted his word. I included a photo of my car that I took immediately upon discovering the damage. Upon sending him the quote for the damage, he claimed his employees denied causing the damage and that his ring camera footage showed nothing happened to my car. But that footage was conveniently deleted before anyone could review it. He also denied ever promising to pay for the damage. Because I trusted his initial commitment and didn't file a police report right away, I lost the opportunity to have law enforcement review that footage; law enforcement said they would have confiscated the footage the day the damage was discovered if I had filed a police report. I inspected my car for bird droppings the day before dropping it off at Washnwerk and a witness can confirm they didn't see the damage before it was left in their care. I am now stuck with a $1,000 deductible on a property damage claim for damage I am certain occurred at this business. I looked over the reviews left for Washnwerk on Google and found 6 other reviews describing damage to customers' vehicles such as exterior damage and new stains in the interior. In every instance, the customer reports that the damage was never remediated or at least doesn't mention any remediation. Washnwerk commented on one of these reviews claiming they wanted to make it right, but the customer didn't update their review to confirm any remediation had happened. One reviewer reported the exact same experience as me -- an initial offer to pay, later retracted. There are screenshots of these reviews below. I'd hate for this to happen to anyone else. Please choose a detailing company that stands behind their work and takes responsibility when something goes wrong. If you've had a similar experience and haven't shared it yet, please do share.

I hired them to detail two vehicles at my home for approximately $600. One of the vehicles had a cigarette odor, and that was the primary reason I contacted them. Before booking, I specifically explained the issue and was repeatedly assured that removing odors was one of their specialties and that they would perform an ozone treatment for an additional charge. The technician arrived approximately 45 minutes late, in an Uber, and did not have the equipment necessary to perform an ozone treatment. I specifically asked him before the work began if he was doing the ozone treatment, and he told me yes. Afterward, I discovered that what he represented as the ozone treatment was not actually an ozone treatment. I contacted the company, and they acknowledged that the technician was not equipped to perform the ozone treatment. The cigarette odor returned by the next day, which was the primary reason I hired the company in the first place. The windows and mirrors on both vehicles were also left so streaked that I had to clean them myself afterward. I gave the company multiple opportunities over the following several weeks to correct the problem. They rescheduled twice, including once approximately 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment. Eventually I told them I no longer wanted the service redone and requested a refund. The company then confirmed in writing that I would receive a refund within 5-7 business days. I waited nine business days and still received nothing. After multiple additional attempts to contact them, I was repeatedly told by their answering service that the issue was being escalated to management. I was ultimately unable to contact them at all. They finally blocked my number and any subsequent number I try to call with, they immediately hang up and block it. I have seen other reviews from people with similar experiences. This seems to be their MO if you have any sort of problem. They don't care about their clients. They will make empty promises, lie, and ultimately just block you and ignore your complaints. At this point, I paid approximately $600, did not receive the service that was specifically promised, the original problem was not resolved, I had to redo part of the cleaning myself, and the refund they promised was never issued. I am posting this review because I want other customers to know exactly what happened before trusting this company with their vehicles.
