We have had nothing but issues with them since moving into our detached condo complex. If I didn't love my house so much I would move. They charged me legal fees for late payments they submitted to a lawyer without even giving me a chance to catch up on my own. They send nasty emails and are never in the office. read more

This company is a scam they have no idea of the own policies terms and conditions and when it is brought to their attention they deny it they are very unprofessional as their receptionist hung the phone on me for re-educating her on the policy that comes in her hand book I got scammed out of a 50 application fee they also made false accusations about my credit report you will be hearing from my lawyer I hope that $50 was worth it now u have a law suite coming your way. read more

(Further warning: They also vulturously prey on HOAs of older or more distressed properties who have difficulty finding other management companies willing to take on the business.) They lack even the most basic customer service or clerical skills, amplified tenfold by their own thoroughly unconscionable moral standards. Your property value, and quality of life, will necessarily suffer as a result of the blight Realty Mart promotes in your neighborhood. And your psychological well-being will diminish under the abuse of their ill-mannered employees. The Inside Scoop ________________ Realty Mart's owner passed away several years ago, and his children (Donald W. and Donna M.), the former most recent managers of this uninventively named outfit, have decided to promote and hand over the reins to their inexperienced and unqualified office secretaries, while retiring to Grosse Pointe with a comfortable inheritance they received from their late father (courtesy of the hapless and trusting souls who have been exploited for so long by this hack-shop). Sue T. ('President' and ex-office clerk) and her crew (newly branded as 'managers') collect *vast* assessments and *exorbitant* fees that seemingly disappear into the void of their money-laundering-operation business checking account in Las Vegas, NV (no joke). Realty Mart has taken careful steps to frustrate its potential creditors' efforts to attach the accounts used to fund its dubious operation, and the respective home owners associations' ability to readily inspect the records of to whom and where their hard-earned money is being directed (mainly lining the silk pockets of the previously mentioned retired owners). Many of the properties they have 'managed' over the past several decades have been so neglected that the emergency repair bills and homeowner complaints due to structural damage are now beginning to pour in and strain the limited budgets they have gotten used to (and fat off of) for so long. Takeaways _______________ I strongly suggest that your HOA assess the necessity of having a property management company handle its affairs in the first place, and certainly look elsewhere if the size and scale of your community necessitates obtaining one. It's truly only a matter of time, perhaps a few years at most, before Realty Mart is forced to sell off their remaining accounts to some other similarly unscrupulous and poorly run local business, when the many skeletons in their closet finally catch up with them. Our complex has been with RMM for 5+ years and I cannot say enough good things about this company. The assistance that is available is to our advantage because of the knowledge and the resources that they provide. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. RMM has helped this complex with updating the By Laws and enforcement. Guiding us in the right direction is their goal to help ensure the everyday business that is involved in running a community. I have called and let the management know how well their individual property manager handles our issues. The assistance that a Board of Directors needs is provided on a daily basis by our property manager Sandra McGuire. The contractors that she has helped us acquire is invaluable. When calling to ask questions, Alyssa not only could not answer them, she was rude and very discourteous and told me I couldn't call there again and hung up the phone on me. I called back and spoke to the company "president" Sue. She would interrupt every time I started to say or ask anything. She was as bad as ,if not worse, than Alyssa. These people should have to take some kind of course on how to speak to people. Everyone there is rude, disrespectful, discourteous and just plain nasty! Any Association that uses them should look at these reviews, which are ALL BAD, and start looking for another management company! I would give them zero stars but don't have that option. They take the word incompetence to a new low. These people don't know the first thing about property management. I suspect this is the reason they don't respond to questions. They can't because they don't know the answer to anything you ask. They also don't know the difference between a contractor's bid from a contractors referral. Our payments are routed to a bank in Las Vegas so as to be out of reach to your association. The only good thing I can say is that NOBODY at this company is full time and nobody is available evenings or weekends. This helps greatly reduce the time they have to screw things up for our association. Snow removal and lawn maintenance quality and other maintenance issues have been terribly degraded since Realty Mart has taken over. When there is an association vote on anything, it's done by mail so they can charge extra and they can then tell us how the vote went. We often expect their vote count is incorrect but they destroy the ballots before they can be questioned. It took over a year to get the management of this company to look at our associations bylaws. They also reserve the right to override a vote of the homeowners if they think they need to do it. Think about that for a moment. read more
