Went in here after a lunch with friends. I saw a wonderful sugar scrub that i opened to smell. The woman at the front whom did not even acknowledge us finally snapped her head up and said, "um there are samples on the other side so dont open those." I looked and there was a tiny sampe on the other side if the set up of which i could barely see behind all of the other products. In a store full of soaps and scrubs and lotions you think there might be a sign at least to not open products. I walked right out. Thats ok. I DID like the scrub and was going to purchase but after being spoken to like a child there are better stores worth my time and money. read more

This is my favorite store in Oceanside! I love looking around because they always have something new. Very unique and original. All of the ladies who work here are very knowledgeable and so kind. I love this store! We needed a place like this around here for awhile. It's nice having a store where the owner is so involved and constantly updating and bringing new, healthy, natural product in. With this business, the owner Cyan has conceived of, and executed, an absolutely wonderful addition to our coastal Oceanside community. Reap & Sow is like a conservation boutique and learning center. Cyan is a warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable ambassador for the business. She really walks the walk when it comes to providing a haven for alternative merchandise. I LOVE Reap & Sow for the unique products, including beautiful gifts, and for the education that it provides the community on Earth-friendly tools and activities we can and should be implementing in our everyday lives. As just one example, Cyan sold me rain barrels, her family delivered them, and she has taken an active interest in how I installed them and how well they work so that she can share lessons learned with other customers. She quickly replaced hardware for the barrels when I wanted to try something different. Yesterday I found unique Christmas gifts at Reap & Sow, which Cyan lovingly wrapped for me at no charge. She has also become a leader in South Oceanside for rectifying traffic problems on Coast Highway. The community should be supporting local, creative businesses like Reap & Sow. I LOVE the products here! So many brands I've never heard of. I've always been a loyal Aveda fan but Cyan, who is very knowledgeable about everything she carries, suggested I try her Blisoma Solutions line. Since I've started using the cleanser and creme my skin has been so vibrant and happy! no drying, no breakouts. I'm addicted. She is a fountain of knowledge about homesteading and eco conscious products. So glad she decided to open shop here in Oside. read more

After looking for an outlet, I ran into Nothing but flaky, lost unknowlegeable people selling this products or rather, claiming to be as they aren't in their store when their website says they are and they don't answer or return calls. Great customer service! I was told about this place by a friend and stopped in to see what she was raving about. The store had just closed (I wasn't sure of the hours) and I peeked in the windows. The owner was kind enough to let my husband and me in when we told her we drove there to see the store specifically. She did not rush us and was extremely informative. There's so much good stuff there; I cannot wait to go back. I'm looking forward to her store events and guest speakers. I stopped by on Tuesday, after stopping by another shop nearby, when I saw the sign. Went in. Loved the place. The store is clean, spacious and well stocked. The furniture and accessories are well made and well chosen. I bought a valet, and looked at the beekeeping supplies. The owner, Diana, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and super helpful. Turns out we had a lot in common, between dogs (especially Doxies and special needs dogs). Overall a totally great experience. Fast forward to today, Friday. While driving home, I realized a rather large swarm of bees were resting on our property, while others seemed disoriented and were flying randomly. I looked up the store's name after unsuccessful Google searches, after finding their sale for the valet purchase on my debit card. She answered the phone directly, assisted in several ways, and was a huge assistance. Very happy to recommend this store, and will definitely make the very long trip back as often as I can. I wish I could put less honestly. AVOID if you are young AND or of color. Walked in based off of the interesting window design. I was looking at the makeup they had with my sister and within a couple seconds a woman quickly came over and told us not to use our fingers to try the samples and pointed to the obvious sample applied in front of us to use like children. We hadn't even used our fingers to begin with. Ok whatever. My sister then goes to continue to try the balm with an applicator and another woman rushes over and tells us not to double dip which once again we hadn't. She scolded us like children once again. Determined not to let them get to us, we stayed. Only for another second to go by and the same first woman came to tell us she would provide us samples if need be as if we were too incompetent/ she couldn't trust us to do it on our own. Please treat your customers better or better yet don't profile us based on our age or race. Common sense honestly. Will not be back. read more
