There can be a lot of emotion involved in these unpleasant reviews, so I'll just share the facts instead. * Johnnie Stiegler was the selling broker on a $1.275M sale at 2203 Vanderbilt Avenue, Redondo Beach. I am Alex Henderson, the buyer. As far as I know, his commission was 2.5% of sale price or $31,875. * We received a request to allow the seller to remain in the property and sublet for another 10 days following close to allow them time to clean the property. We allowed this, and charged the minimum to make the mortgage payment over that time period. We charged $80 / day for a 4 BR / 2BA house ~1.5 miles from the beach. We have a signed contract * Johnnie confirmed that following the 10 day period he would take care of transferring the keys, getting me the $800 check, and ensuring the house was clean * Although I received the keys, there was no check and the property was left full of trash. The seller left multiple chairs, bureaus, a pool table and lots of trash behind * Upon initially seeing this, Johnnie offered to 'send his guy to pick it up.' After a couple of weeks of empty promises without doing anything to address the problems, he stopped answering texts. He refused to respond when we asked what the seller's address was to file small claims court paperwork. He continues to be radio silent I am frustrated at being treated this way as a business partner. I don't understand why he chose to follow this course of action vs. fixing his seller's issues with a relatively small amount of money ($800 in rent and ~$500 for the trash removal and hauling.) From my point of view, I believe it reflects on his character and the lack of ownership he takes in any business relationship once his check has cleared. If you choose to work with him as a buyer or seller, I hope you have a better experience.
